    This remake is so faithful to the original game released in 1994 that it ignores achievements of many successful rivals released over the last 28 years. If you wanted to play Master of Magic with improved graphics and modern controls, this game was made for you.

    3D remake of the 1994 classic with 14 races and tons of troop types and spells. Few comfort functions, needs a lot of patience.

In my opinion, the developers achieved most goals, by staying faithful to the 1994 Simtex/MicroProse classic, with a few annoying pitfalls, such as a flawed GUI and weak (compared to other Slitherine games like Fantasy General and WH Gladius: Relic of War) combat AI. Luckily, the game has a (mostly) open source code, so future mods and DLCs will fill in these gaps. A present, it's 87-89% for me.… Full Review »
