Not bad, but nothing special either. This DLC certainly gives a few plus hours of gameplay to the game. The ending is emotionally powerful. Overall: Nothing outstanding, but still an enjoyable extension of the game.

Loved the story, but I'm still angry at the fact, this is a dlc, which you must buy, while you're getting 2-3 hours AT BEST of content. EA should just be erased from our timeline, worst company there is. Still, I've enjoyed playing Overlord... wish this was in the game from the very beginning. Pickens approves!

I like this DLC, it feels big and expands on the usual closed-off feel of the rest of Mass Effect 2. As usual, though, this DLC is not essential, but prolongs your game for an hour or two. The story isn't actually that bad, and would have made an interesting sideline in the first game.

Overlord was decent. It was certainly a step in the right direction. I cannot be too negative about it other than saying your squad members were painfully silent. I expect better with DLCs in a game like this. I want squad interaction, party banter, etc!

Fine content, but only one mission extra. I would expect more value for money from this add-on. Still had two or three hours of fun.

Not worth the money in all honesty, but it's definitely not an awful DLC. A good 4-5 hours if you do everything and explore and complete the achievements. The story itself for Overlord is actually pretty decent. I won't get into it -- but it's not some short joke like the Normandy Crash, it's fully realized and quite interesting. The soundtrack (noticeably not scored by Wall/ME2 crew) isNot worth the money in all honesty, but it's definitely not an awful DLC. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Not a bad addition to the Mass Effect universe but nothing special either the Overlord DLC fills in a bit more of the back story of what Cerberus gets upto in its spare time, with a mission involving bailing a Cerberus cell out of the trouble they've got themselves into. For added bonus, this DLC unlocks a couple of easter eggs in Mass Effect 3. Fun enough to play through if you love the Mass Effect universe, but you're not missing out on anything if you don't play it. Expand

  1. Fun action, great audio, and multiple memorable moments make Mass Effect 2's latest add-on a winner.

The whole package is quite fantastic, but again I have to remind you that it is a bit short.
  3. The Overlord Pack for Mass Effect 2 is well spent money and a nice second add-on for Mass Effect 2. A couple hours of varied gameplay.
