Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on PC is another great move by Sony, allowing more players to experience this title. Its launch was marked by performance issues that impacted the initial experience, but these were fixed over time. Scaling technologies help, though adjusting the graphics improves stability.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 on PC is a respectable port. Nixxes did an incredible job, maintaining all the fidelity of the original game and bringing excellent improvements. But we should always remember Insomniac's excellent work on the PS5 as well. The only problems are the occasional crash and some FPS drops, but nothing that can't be fixed with updates.

While the game does have some weird and interesting bugs, the PC port of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 does deliver some great experiences. It took Nixxes a few patches in the first few weeks to get there and they still have some more work to do, but the game looks gorgeous and plays well on top notch systems. Don't try it on the Steam Deck though.

Current issues aside, the PC version of Spider-Man 2 is just as thrilling and engrossing as laid out in our PS5 review. The story and characters grab you emotionally. The production values are top-notch across the board. If you are looking to play the ultimate version of Spider-Man 2, this is the version to play.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on the PC from developer Insomniac Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment is solid, thanks to multiple patches, on the PC. While it didn’t launch in the best state, it has since reached a point comparable to the PS5 version. It maintains a great story, fun gameplay, and graphical gorgeousness that is somewhat better than its PlayStation counterpart.

As great as Marvel's Spider-Man 2 may be in terms of content and gameplay, Sony and Nixxes initially ruined the launch of the game on PC from a technical perspective. However, it's all the more pleasing that the developers are currently tackling the problems quickly and that several of them have already disappeared. If Nixxes' patching efforts continue at this pace, there is a good chance that the game will hopefully soon reach the level of quality that we also know from the PS5 version. Until then, our devaluation will remain.

I have some mixed feelings, but as a video game, Spider-Man 2 works really well. Hopefully Nixxes can fix the random crash issues. I'd still say that the first part worked better for me.

It's a shame that such an incredible game like Spider-Man 2 is hampered at launch by technical issues. It's also regrettable that, considering it's a AAA title from a PlayStation studio, it isn't performing optimally upon release. Once everything is patched, the game will truly be worthwhile. With that said, Spider-Man 2 is undoubtedly one of the most fun experiences you'll play on PC this year and the best superhero video game in a long time.

The PC version struggles a bit compared to the console counterparts, but those willing to overlook some issues on a technical side will discover a deep and rewarding gameplay experience that will captivate just the same as the first one.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 arrives on PC as the definitive version, delivering excellent performance and support for advanced technologies like AMD’s FSR 3.1 and Frame Generation. Even on mid-range hardware, the game runs at a stable 60 FPS, showcasing impressive optimization. However, some bugs affecting character rendering and enemy AI may hinder progression, making it advisable to wait for additional hotfixes before diving in.

The Spider-Man 2 PC port marks another milestone for Sony in bringing its exclusives to new platforms. Despite some technical imperfections, the game remains one of the best action open-world titles of recent years, with a solid technical foundation and stunning graphical fidelity. The PC version undoubtedly offers the most advanced visual experience, though it requires powerful hardware to truly shine. If Sony and Nixxes manage to further optimize the game with future updates, this could become the perfect Spider-Man 2 port for fans of the friendly neighborhood spider man.

Technical issues damage the experience at times, but Marvel's Spider-Man 2 on PC is still a great game.

Saying that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is a bad game takes courage. However, unfortunately, there are things that the first game did better than the second one (especially in terms of equipment). Yes, that includes the PC port as well.

Despite its very rough start thanks to the small but meaningful updates we've received since its launch, the PC version of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 manages to deliver the goods. This is one of the best and most enjoyable PlayStation games in years, and if you haven't had the chance to try it yet and your spider senses are tickling, now is a great opportunity to do so.

While some players experiencing huge problems with Marvel's Spider-Man 2 on PC, we were lucky enough to avoid these issues but i does not mean that doesn't exist. For us, the experience was good, even very good. The game is even more beautiful on this platform, and goes even further than the PS5 version in terms of ray-tracing. Thanks to DLSS or FSR, the game can run around 60fps with ray-tracing options. For the game itself, it's still a excellent blockbuster that will have fans of Marvel's superhero dreaming.

It’s undeniably a great game when it works, and everything that made it our GOTY a few years ago still stands. I’m sure the PC version will get there eventually, and when that happens it’ll be a must-play for anyone who loves big, open-world superhero games…but for now, you’re better off holding off, and giving the game a little more time to iron out the kinks.

At the end of the day, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is a great game and remains so even in the PC version. The much-talked-about conversion operated by Nixxes eventually turned out to be good, though still not great, thanks in part to a hotfix that fixed several of the problems that raised so much controversy. Wandering around the New York City shaped by Insomniac remains a great experience, as rewarding in the combat phases as in the aerial exploration phases hanging from the web. Support for DualSense and its in-depth use is another plus point.

While Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is able to surpass its two predecessors in just about everything from gameplay to story, the PC port is in desperate need of optimization patches.

One of the best superhero games out there that doesn't just offer brilliantly orchestrated blockbuster action, but also a convincing narrative. A shaky frame rate, crashes and AI glitches currently dampen the fun.

Nixxes breaks its streak of good ports with a Marvel's Spider-Man 2 that has been released unoptimized, and with important bugs still present after several patches and hotfixes (version 1.212.1.0). It still needs more work to be 100% polished: it's a shame to release great games like this.

With zero marketing and a troubled launch, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 raises some questions about how serious Sony is about its PC strategy. Luckily for us (and Sony), Nixxes is a fast and efficient studio that almost immediately addressed the issues and brought stability to this version of the game.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 isn't the spectacular game it is on PS5. Bugs and crashes plagued the launch, and while the game is now stable enough, it isn't always on par with the PS5 version. When it works, though, the game sings thanks to the great story and amazing gameplay.

The PC version of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is an action adventure that's slowly recovering from a very troubled launch, offering at least 30 hours of high doses of action and visual satisfaction, but falls short of the first game both technically and story-wise.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 on PC is currently a bittersweet experience. The base game is exceptional, with an engaging narrative and polished gameplay, but technical issues are too frequent to ignore. Even with powerful hardware like our setup, the experience is far from optimal.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 disappoints in its long-awaited debut on PC, delivering an adventure that falls short of the expectations created since its launch on PS5. As fun as the sequel to the saga of Peter Parker and Miles Morales is, the poor work of adaptation to the new platform prevents a broader recommendation until its most basic problems are resolved and the performance delivered is within expectations for different hardware configurations.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is a good game stuck in a package that is far from ideal. Visual artifacts and a few crashes still remain even after three patches, and the game can feel less than optimized when the frame rate drops on powerful hardware. If you're willing to wait just a little longer or are the patient and forgiving type, you'll be rewarded with a safe sequel that can still satisfy fans of the Insomniac-developed games. This title also gets fans primed for the eventual finale what is almost certainly a trilogy. However, this release serves as a warning that Sony and its studios need to do some real work to ensure future game releases are stable from day one, or else they'll lose the PC audience that is crucial to funding future endeavors.

If you missed Spider-Man 2 on PS5, the PC version will be a great way to experience it, just not yet. I just wish Sony would learn from their mistakes and stop these sorts of releases from happening, but sadly their PC port rollercoaster just keeps on rolling.

Players keen to continue Peter and Miles’ story on PC should hold out a little longer and wait for some patches, as it’s hard to recommend Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on PC in its current state. It's marred by a multitude of bugs that completely take away from the game’s brilliant story and excellent gameplay.

Eventually, Spider-Man 2's PC port will be fixed to the point that it will rival or arguably exceed the PS5 version, especially for those with more powerful rigs that can push the game to its graphical and performance limits. At launch, though, Spider-Man 2 on PC falls well short of expectations. The core gameplay is still a blast, and it's still one of the best superhero adventures in gaming, but the crashes are too problematic to ignore.

Toothless writing, old-fashioned open world design, and ropey port work undermine what should be a thrilling cinematic adventure.

A cautious bet on a superhero formula that could have been genuinely entertaining thanks to solid gameplay craftsmanship. However, the technical state of the PC port is abysmal, leaving the game fundamentally broken on the platform in its current state.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 needs adjustments, some sooner than others. And while it remains a graphical powerhouse, until more patches arrive to stabilize everything the game brings to the table, it is still not recommended to play it. [Not Recommended]

In our experience, you’re not relying too heavily on dynamic resolutions and upscaling to high the graphics presets provided by Sony, but there’s plenty of scope to tweak settings and apply some upscaling to get core ray tracing features and a solid 60fps performance that matches or betters the game on PS5. All in all, Spider-Man 2 on PC has proven to be a reliable performer in both of our use cases.
