    Wonderfull game, great story, perfect voice acting. The story so far is brilliant and the combat is fun. The visuals are outdated, but i dont mind that:)

    I have no idea why people hate this game.

    -Fantastic, deep storyline -Outstanding graphics -Little to no glitches or bugs that I've found (80 hours of play) -TONS of awesome weapons, combat is very rewarding as you can go stealth or loud -Even if you shoot someone, they may still roll around on the ground in pain and you can put them out of their misery (realistic) -Who you side    I have no idea why people hate this game.

    This game is a worthy successor to the past 2 games. The story actually feels more immersive to me then the second game did. The soundtrack makes driving around in your car enjoyable. The driving can feel a little gamey, but there is a toggle to turn on realistic driving.

    The patch also fixed a lot of my minor gripes. I'm very happy with this game so far. Well done team!

    This game is really fun and is worth playing for the sound design alone. Best Voice Acting/Sound Effects/Soundtrack of any open world game ever. Definitely recommend.

I had to redo my original review of this game after playing an additional 17 hours or so as one of the complaints that I wrote about (having to return to the safehouse to stash my character's cash in between missions in order not to lose half of it if my character died) was not valid. Turns out you can unlock a perk from Vito that grants you the consigliere who you call on your phone and the show up in less than 5 seconds to collect your money.

    So since I can;t just edit my original review here's a rewritten one:

    For me the game is quite enjoyable. It looks quite good to me and runs smoothly at 60 FPS since I installed the patch. I have had one CTD in 26 hours of game play. (My system is nothing special- I7-2600K@3,4 GHz, NVidia GeForce GTX 970 with the latest driver, 32 GB ram, Windows 10 64 bit, Sony SSD)

    I think that the reason that there are so many negative reviews is that people weren't expecting an Assassin's Creed type of gameplay. If you like to run and gun you probably won't like this game. Stealth is a huge part of the game especially in the first dozen or so hours. Patient is a virtue in short supply these days so I feel that rather than admit that they are impatient people they just slam the game. If your style is run and gun you will die a lot. And I do mean A LOT. Also if you don't like late 60's music and IMO a rather accurate portrayal of the racism that existed in the 60's (I turned 13 in 1965) you probably won't get it but trust me, it is an accurate portrayal. The first school that I attended was segregated and I still remember the anger and rage that so many white people felt about that issue. Get over it, it happened.

    The only complaint that I have about this game is the lack of a manual save feature; of course this is not a small thing. Honestly I can't give this game more than a 7 because of that but since so many, um, mentally challenged people have given it zeros (I mean really, a zero???) I decided to put mine at 10 for the official count just to try and balance things out a little. If you played and enjoyed Assassin's Creed IV and liked it I think that you will probably really enjoy this game.

    A few thoughts about the game design:
    -You are limited to two weapons at the start, some type of pistol and a shotgun, rifle, automatic rifle, or machine gun. Ammo is also limited although you can pick up the NPC's as you kill them assuming that they are using the same type of weapon that you are.
    -The driving in the game (and there is no fast travel option like the taxi in GTA V) reminds me of GTA IV, Cars will only survive a 3-6 crashes depending on how severe they are before they just stop running,
    -I found the story quite engaging and the cutscenes (and there are a lot of them) look so very cinematic. The facial motion capture that they used sets a new standard for quality; it is quite literally amazing..

    No game is for everyone. If you like Call of Duty and GTA V you will most likely not enjoy this game so don't buy it. That simple. And who buys a $60 game without spending at least an hour on YouTube checking out the gameplay before buying? There have been play throughs of Mafia 3 for at least two weeks on YouTube (check the Angry Joe Show and TheRadBrad channels for some). But I just don't see how any honest reviewer could give this game less than perhaps a 5. There are indeed some odd design decisions but what game doesn't have those? I know that some people have complained about having trouble getting the game to run and crashes. All that I can advise on that is to make sure that your video drivers are up to date before you start. Download and run an excellent program called CCleaner that scans for issues with your registry and then fixes them. If you don't have a SSD defragment your harddrive before you start downloading the game. Repair the game in Steam (remember, Google is your friend). If you do buy the game, relax and enjoy it! It is a very well done game-not perfect by any means. The lack of a manual save is especially irksome (I do hope the developers fix that via patch sooner rather than later) but other than that, just think Assassin't Creed and not GTA V when you buy it.    … Expand

    Game is Farcry (sneaking up with knife) in an urban environment fused with GTA/Saints Row (capture districts of town)... Enjoyed it thoroughly... Could be renamed to '100 ways to stab one in the neck', lol...

    to be honest this is the worst game i ever played since GTA 2 , i dont even believe that who did this game are real developers !!! if they are , they should quit making games forever or even they should be put in to a trial for being this arrogant after testing the game and distributing it . **** you Hangar 13, **** you 2K Games, all you motha****ers !!!

    I had a bad opinion when it first released...Gotta say that now after 4 years that ive retried playing it i find this game is a dope! I enjoy every moment of it. Music ,enviroment , gun shooting all i wanted.

    do yourself a favor wait for the patch don't skip on this game.

The game has more beautiful tracks and soundtrack of the games, however, as the repetitive memories, in addition to the bugs and existing flaws, which have hampered the experience of the game in its launch period. With over 200hrs played on Steam, I can tell you a bit about it.

    Maybe if the game was released with all the dlc's and optimizations not only on the consoles, but also on the PC's, the third game in the series would have a greater acceptance of the public; And because of the story and its soundtrack, I end up playing countless times for the FUN that the game has brought. I hope for a sequel with John Donovan as the protagonist, whoever finished the game knows what I'm talking about.    … Expand

    I loved the Story for this game. being huge fan of the 1st and 2nd i believe they topped those with the 3rd. After the update and allowing unlimited FPS or 30/60, definitely has helped. use a 1070GTX all maxed out on the graphics, the game looks damn awesome.

Yes, I really enjoyed the game. By the time I was playing, most of the bugs were patched. I could see some in rare occasions, but they didn't bother me that much. I played it at around 75 FPS. And the game was long, 37 hoursI found this game to be one of my favorites of all time. The story, missions, personalities, acting, beautiful and big world, driving late 60's American cars, combat. Yes, I really enjoyed the game. By the time I was playing, most of the bugs were patched. I could see some in rare occasions, but they didn't bother me that much. I played it at around 75 FPS. And the game was long, 37 hours did it take me to get trough the main Story. On the other hand, I was disappointed in Just Cause, it being to short and repetitive. I always buy games when the price has dropped a bit, and in this occasion I think it was a good idea, with the game having a lot of issues on release.     I have been playing this game for months. I am really enjoying the way the story is going and the paths that you can take. This game deserves a lot better of a score than what I see. I dont know why reviewers are soo toxic. This game gives you a lot to do and multiple paths. Its not perfect but what is. Its fun and makes you feel like you are in control of this world.     actually the best game i have ever played. I really enjoy the story, gameplay should be better, but it is still funny. Riding is funny too. And the best thing about this game is soundtrack. I enjoy every song in this game. And DLC Sign of times is funny too.

    On release, this game had lots of glaring issues with its PC port but many of which were ironed out.

    The games story is excellent and compelling. Every single character has a personality and is engaging. The DLC is enriching to the story without changing it, however one of rather outlandish, well two really, but one much more so.     As for my review, I LOVED playing this game. Yes, some of the game-play was a little repetitive, but the story. The story in this game was wonderful and I was completely taken in by it. I really connected with Clay and while the game was a little rough around the edges, that didn't actually take away from it actual enjoyment.

    Many people complained about not having fast-travel. Why would you want to fast travel when you can run around, steal any vehicle, and just drive? It's one of the most fun parts of the game. The soundtrack was also spectacular and cemented you into the era and location.

    Story so far seems well writen and well characterised I feel for clay already and I still haven't hit upon the meat and bones of the game yet.

    As for the rest of the game i haven't really got to the side objectives and taking Sal apart so i can't say anything about it which is a shame.

    Driving mechanics are serviceable I've switched to simulation and the car now feels heavy and more realistic and as for the shooting mechanics although Clay was a soldier he hasn't got the pin point accuracy of max payne because of this it feels a little more authentic with the gun fights, you won't be popping headshots left and right you will be forced to ground as you are not a bullet sponge this helps make the shooting feel tense rather than just filler, the guns so far have a nice heavy feel and the death animations of the other guys are well animated.

    Now for the nasty stuff, the game had ramdomly shut with no error message only once in my play through and when I was loading up the game i was unable to set the boarder because i couldn't see any button prompts I had to wait till i got into the game to do so (not that major i know but still an issue i came aross)

    Lastly a level headed view of gaming on PC in 201X, games are coming out quicker and sooner then ever before this is because they can cut corners and "patch it later" just like this 30FPS lock that has got all the gaming snobs in a fuss, granted we've spent alot on our gaming PCs but we've been told it WILL be patched in soon, the game is more than playable at 30FPS ANY game is playable at 30FPS so don't let that put you off of a brilliant game at this moment I am going to score it a sold 9 because I am blown away by the game in this short window, but over time I might change my score.    … Expand

    I'm enjoying mafia 3 even though it doesn't really feel like a mafia game but rather a good revenge story. If you go into this game expecting GTA or Witcher 3 content then you might want to wait until a sale, but if you like good stories and gun fights you will get a kick out of this game.

    Onwards. AI is poorly done. The game just isn't challenging. HOWEVER, I'm in it for the story. If I wanted a challenge I'd play Dark Souls. GTA V wasn't more challenging, but it definitely was MUCH less interesting. Mafia III captures the atmosphere of the late 60s wonderfully, and the black perspective is terrific. The story is very, very well done. Boss fights are incredible, with attention to details and a lot of depth. Spot on.

    The soundtrack is amazing. Much like Fallout 4, I know I'll be playing the game much after the campaign just because I'll enjoy driving around picking commie propaganda while listening to the radio. Terrific. I wish it didn't stop when I left the car, lol.

    All in all: 3.2 is a joke. It's a score given by cry-babies who never participated in creating a game. This game is amount the 4-5 best games since 2015, period. It's much better than short-as-hell GTA V, that's for sure. Do yourself a favor and check it out. This game deserves a score of 8.5, not a 3.2.    … Expand

    The driving is awesome, feels a bit like GTA 4 with the nice weighty old school physics. Drifting is so good when you get it right, feels absolutely boss and rewarding every time you do a huge 100mph handbrake in power out through traffic.

    The missions are great, sure the theme can get repetitive but let's be serious.. it's realistic? If you were taking over an entire city you would have to go through endless shoot outs and kill hundreds of mobsters and that's what happens and not once did I think "oh damn I have to kill more guys". Every time I thought where's my Blackburn FAF-33 and god damn tac vest I have some mobsters to kill, arms dealer get over here pronto!
    The audio and music is awesome, before this game I had hardly listened to 60s - 70s rock and blues, now I'm a huge fan.
    The scanned playboys are awesome!? Genuine vintage playboy in HD!?

    The wishlist:
    More gore would be nice, I would love to see some body parts get blown off when I unload a shotgun point blank.
    When killing key story characters like mob bosses etc, instead of the boss being killed in the cut scene, I would like the boss just to be put on his knees in the cut scene, and then switch back to player controlled Lincoln to allow me to put the chrome to his dome and pull the trigger myself (or throw him out a window etc, it should be my decision).

    DIY fixes:
    Download ReShade and a decent preset to make the graphics looks awesome and I'm playing with everything on low because I have a GTX 750 Ti and i5-2500k, still looks great, getting around 40-50 FPS and it is smooth enough for me.

    Otherwise this game is great, I have no idea what all these other reviews are comparing it to? It's a great simple action adventure shooter.    … Expand

    Can say the best mobster game i have ever played. I mean there r better games like gta but this is about an awesome storyline, and the reality in the gameplay - these all make a difference. The gameplay is not bad, there are plenty missions to play and too realistic the only problem i faced is some bugs and least i can say is the gameplay is a lil bit complicated, maybe it's that I'm notCan say the best mobster game i have ever played.     Did not find the Mafia III Definitive Edition here, but I will say that the modified game pulls 9/10 in all its volume of the game and locations with scenarios in general.

    But the graphics are still not clear why they are so soapy and cloudy colors ...

    This is the only worthy game from the Mafia series where there is a big world - a lot of localized objects for interaction - a lot of exciting and additional content - the only graphics were made by freaks, but with modification to the graphics from modders - good.

    I hated it when I've initially purchased it, but after so many years, I've given it another shot and I'm having a ton of fun playing it. Not sure if anything changed since I've tried it, all I can say is that it's a excellent game (and a masterpiece in terms of acting/cutscenes atmosphere, etc). Great story, great mechanics (with some issues here and there), great environments/models,I hated it when I've initially purchased it, but after so many years, I've given it another shot and I'm having a ton of fun playing it. Not sure if anything changed since I've tried it, all I can say is that it's a excellent game (and a masterpiece in terms of acting/cutscenes atmosphere, etc). The game is not as monotonous as some say. There is variety of different types of main missions and some cool side missions. I have not encountered any major bugs in the game.     I like the game. Good story with deep and political background. Story game is enjoyable. Is not a GTA V, but it should not be expected. I appreciate straightforward story rather than doing 200 missions and getting a short argument.

    Many people like to compare this game to the GTA series, simply because it has become the hallmark of sand-box games. You wont, however, find as much to do in free roam in mafia III as in the GTA games, but what they have added is very positively adding to the game overall.

    As in previous mafia titles mafia III´s main focus in on telling a great story and i can tell you right now that it is one fantastic story. Characters are deep and the stories are impacting and entertaining. The game play itself is fun, there are a few repetitive missions throughout but they few and far apart. Physics are spot on, and especially the guns have a hefty feel to them. Technical troubles aside (pre-patch) the game runs smoothly, with some pleasing visuals and a fantastic audio backdrop.

    The first few hours of this game does a great job of bringing the era and time period to life just as greatly as mafia 2 did…
    The world felt alive, hearing npcs on the sidewalks talk about martin Luther king jr, James earl ray, john F Kennedy… and the soundtrack in this game is just as perfect as mafia 2s soundtrack was…
    And there are a few nice touches to the game like the radio getting staticy when you drive through tunnels…
    And then the game cracks and becomes what it’s not and was never intended to be… A generic open world liberation game…
    Mafia 3 feels like an Assassins Creed game and ironically suffers from the same thing recent ac games have suffered from…
    Mafia has never been about its open world… It’s been about being a time machine... it’s why I loved mafia 2 and it’s why I loved most of the assassin’s creed games… Mafia 2 brought you back in time to live in a world that felt foreign… it made me feel nostalgic for a time period I didn’t even get to live through... it had me listening to music from the 40s and 50s in my everyday life and it immersed me into an epic experience because there was so much love, care, and detail inside of every main mission and the world around you… It all felt hand crafted…
    Mafia 3 shifted its focus from being an experience to being a video game the moment it opens up…
    And this is where its cracks start to show
    The game structure is the same throughout… You’re tasked with doing monetary damage to a quote unquote business… each business is different but despite this you do same thing over and over and over for 20 hours… interrogate a target.. They tell you where the product is... you destroy the product, kill some targets, and get an underboss to come out from hiding...kill him… rinse and repeat...
    Once an underboss is killed you can give that section of the city to one of your underbosses for an added perk, careful to keep all 3 happy so they don’t turn on you…
    You have to do this Twice to get the main boss to come out… and this mission to kill the top boss in each city’s section are the greatest moments in the entire game.. so many epic and memorable levels to experience here… and the fact that they make up less than half of the game is completely unacceptable…
    This doing damage to bring out the underbosses and killing them to bring out the boss is a great idea
    I have no issue with this formula being used from start to finish.. what I do take issue is the fact that the structure of these missions dont change…
    Every last mission should be as fleshed out as the kill whoever missions… which again are great points in the game…
    But especially after experiencing witcher 3.. there’s no excuse for your main missions in an open world to not even have half the heart witchers side mission do let alone its campaign missions…
    Sure make me do damage to bring them out, but make each mini boss its own hand crafted experience and story like the main bosses are.. Especially considering they’re required for story progression…
    They feel like rinse and repeat liberation points throughout...
    If that means the story goes from 20 hours to 12, I’m happy...
    a 12 hour masterpiece is worth more to me than 20 hours of the same thing beat by beat…
    The actual gameplay itself I felt is a bit unbalanced and inconsistent…
    The guns in this game took far too long to reload for the amount of enemies you had to deal with.. sure you can call in for help during missions, but it hardly ever mattered…
    You’d constantly get surrounded so cover didn’t matter, even if it did the cover system was super awkward leading you to pop right up trying to switch from cover to cover….enemies felt like bullet sponges, so you’d run out of a clip while dealing with 3 or 4 at a time and while you reloaded it would be over for you…
    Even on the games easiest difficulty I felt it was too easy to die considering the circumstances..
    And for some reason the main target in these missions takes damage like a tank…throwing the feel of the entire game away every time you encounter one…
    You could also stealth around and take out enemies ninja style if you’d like…
    Since you do have a voodoo doll to distract enemies and you can whistle to bring them towards you 1 at a time…
    The outside world is a bit of a letdown too, as cops hardly feel like a threat at all.. More like ornaments…
    And you have to constantly deal with citizens running to call the copy every time you hop in a car like watch dogs but worse...
    And they call them unrealistically fast as do the goons calling for back up….
    An extreme annoyance that I can kill someone before they say a word and it’s too late.. Reinforcements are here or cops are on their way…
    And honestly other than cut scenes or the occasional gunman dropping the n word... I felt like just another white protagonist as no one on the street treated me any different... which was odd considering you do deal with the city’s presence of racism later on in the game…
    But the racism seems to only be reserved for missions, failing to ultimately bring the world to life..
    I feel like those few missions would have been more impactful if I actually got to feel what it was like to be in the shoes of an African American during the mid-60s.. As I’m sure it was far more and far worse than just being called the n word every now and then and only if you were a mobster destroying drugs and shooting places up……
    That being said... mafia 3 still has its moments of greatness…
    The cut scenes, the characters, the sound tract… and the missions the developers actually tried at, all ultimately make this game worth plaything through…

    I don't understand people complaining about the graphics. Are we really playing the same game ?? Ok there are bugs and graphics issues, I'm aware of it, but nothing really important. People juste reviewing with a score of 0 juste because of that ? 30fps ? Seriously ???

    The graphics are good, but not incredible, really not a "2016 graphics" game, but close. I mean, theres a lot of work to do about the general optimization of the game and fix the low textures issue. But it will be fixed like always. No guys, it´s not an AC: Unity and Batman Arkham Knight all over again.

    The gameplay is good when you are on foot, but driving, well, not so good, not GTA V good. I would say an average between Watch Dogs being terrible and GTA V being amazing. But very playable nonetheless. The AI is not that bright, truth be said.

    What is good? Well, the story is amazing, very rich plot with great characters. The soundtrack is also very good as it was to be expected given the time period. The map is very rich in details and full of landmarks.

    Some minor details also deserve a mention, like when the police is called in a black neighbourhood and the police doesn´t show at all, or takes forever to get there. Or like when you are on a white area and NPCs will give you all kinds of bad looks and offensive comments.

    This "it´s not a Mafia game because it´s not the italian mob" or "it doesn´t feel like a Mafia game" complaint is not fair at all. I mean, everybody knew that this installment would not be centered around the italian mob, so why the heck did you buy the game?! Didn´t you know the protagonist was black? Didn´t you know that only sicilians can become made men? Or worse, didn´t you all know that there are many other race/ethnic based criminal organizations? Serious, guys, don´t be haters!

    Well, could 2K and Hangar 13 have done a better job for the PC port? Yes! But i´ve seen worse. Faaaar worse.

    If you don´t fell like buying the game now, wait for a Steam sale, but do play it someday. It´s very good.    … Expand

BUT, the PC port is terrible, playing with a GTX 1070 and an i5 6600K, the game very often dips down and stutters, which makes it more difficult to play. This game definitely has it's charms though. The music is often used really well, the voice acting is fantastic, and you can collect porn! I really don't think this gameAlright. This game is fun. Very fun. Great story and good graphics.     solid game, nothing amazing about it, but a number of things done well, that games such as GTA5 fail at, mainly actual things to do in the in-game world. it is repetitive, but what GTA clone isn't, graphics need work and issues with it not crashing regularly.

    I haven't played the game yet and don't think i will, from the videos ive seen the game looks like nothing special.. looks just like the same open world bs we've all seen in the past, and everyeye i just want to point out that we shouldn't have to finish the game to appreciate it or even like it.. we should like it while we are playing the damn game XD rating 80 so everyeye can see this.

    Well clearly this review is going to be the black sheep... but I really enjoyed Mafia 3! So much so, that I even bought all 3 of the DLC's that were released. I can understand why people became frustrated with this game as it can be very repetitive, buggy, and the AI can be really really dumb at times, but overall I thought it was great fun. Good levelling up system keeps you engaged withWell clearly this review is going to be the black sheep... but I really enjoyed Mafia 3!     O jogo tem alguns defeitos, não é tão bom quanto um gta5, porém não é tão ruim como um watch dogs.

    What holds the game back the most is the already mentioned repetitiveness as there is a decent chance that you have to clear out the same hall of goons once again depending on the territory just to kill a leader who you really don't care about.
    The character of Franklin looks is a bit unusual as he is taller and tougher then any other character you can see throughout the game, but that doesn't mean it isn't fun breaking bones with this hulk of a character.    … Expand

    I played this game long after release. Most of the bugs and 30 fps limit has been lifted etc. Graphics ok. Sometime very nice for old game. Story is linear but I liked it a lot. Game play is extended through DLC. Game play gets repetitive time to time. Yes the reason to drive and shoot alters but it is gets repetitive and grindy. Still some bugs but no more game breaking ones.

    The game was buggy, the gameplay repetitive, yet the story was a masterpiece and the world of New Orleans in the 1960ties just kept me so immersed and interested, that I still occasionally go back to this game just to experience the story and to get lost in that world.

    Would've given 10/10 but couldn't cause of the AI and optimization, I don't know how could Hangar 13 optimize this game so horribly, but I gave an 8 because of excellent story. The story is amazing al the DLC's, I'm waiting for a Mafia 4 but I don't want Hangar 13 to develop it for God's sake

    It's an underrated gem. The combat feels fluid and engaging. It has beautiful aesthetics, good gameplay, and a memorable story. The DLCs are also great. Of course, the game is not perfect and has some bugs and glitches, but nothing game-breaking. If you want to play it at max refresh rate, disable fullscreen optimization from the compatibility settings of the game's executable.

It's a great game if you don't view it as a Mafia game, but if you do look at it from the "third game of the Mafia franchise" then yea it doesn't really live up to expectations. По большому счету это химера 'Ассасин Крид' и 'Сан Андреас', открытие вышек (установка прослушки) и захват территорий на месте. Вообще разрабы любят подпиздить чужие идеи из других игр, особенно этоМафия 3? Нет! Игра при своем экшон геймплее достаточно медитативная, зашел от нефиг делать, пару часиков пострелял, на машинке покатался, квестики повыполнял, кинцо посмотрел, кайфанул, через пару дней снова зашел почилил на пару часов, а играть фулл тайм из за своего однообразия не рекомендуется, будет фулл духота.

    Из минусов:
    - однообразный и рутинный геймплей между основными сюжетными миссиями;
    - полное отсутствие быстрого перемещения в игре с опен ворлдом KEKW, растягиваем геймплей по полной, катайся через всю карту туда сюда;
    - вторичные персонажи достаточно душные и грузят своей пиздастрадальческой нудятиной;
    - весьма агрессивная пропаганда СЖВ;
    - баги, обычно связанные со скриптами, то задание не запустится, то наоборот не будет пропадать, хотя выполнил его 200 лет назад и тд в таком ключе;

    Из плюсов:
    - годная музыка задающая атмосферу;
    - сносная проработка города, по которому приятно ездить;
    - аркадная, но чиловая езда, особенно при прокаченной тачке;
    - стрельба, та же чиловая аркадность из разряда 'почувствуй себя Джоном Уиком';
    - в меру дозированная жестокость и насилие, которая задает свой шарм игре;
    - тонна активностей, которые при неспешном прохождении могут сносно убить время;
    - DLC, расширяют основной геймплей, дарят годные фишечки и дают любопытные истории, которые переполнены спизженными идеями из других удачных тайтлов 'The Evil Within' 'Uncharted' 'The Witcher 3' и хз чего еще, зато сносно подано, пиздим у лучших и правильно.
    - сюжет, сносный криминальный триллер, который киномотографично и интересно подан, а также не обошлось без приятных саспенсов для фанатов серии в финале истории.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Quando o jogo lançou, vi muita gente reclamando de como ele era repetitivo, e chato. Após baixar e jogar por 2h, concordo na parte do repetitivo, porém, falar que o jogo é mal feito, é muita mentira.
    A ambientação desse jogo é INCRÍVEL, músicas, carros, cenários, roupas dos NPCs, te fazem realmente se sentir como o Lincoln Clay em New Bordeaux 1968 (até na parte do racismo em certos locais e com certas pessoas do mapa).
    Em questão de combate, para o estilo do jogo, é muito bem feito, a variedade de armas, aremessáveis, e o modo que o combate se passa são bons.
    Já em questão de dirigibilidade e mapa, infelizmente Mafia 3 peca bastante. Sabemos que explorar o mapa é bom, porém, só poder recrutar chefes após pegar grampos e invadir caixas de sinais, chega a dar um pouco de desanimo. Pra quem gosta de caçar 100%, este jogo tem bastante espaço para você.
    Caso tenha umas horinhas livres (e bastante paciência para ir e vir), vale a pena dar uma chance para esse jogo, caso contrário, passe longe, fique no Mafia 2    … Expand

    Great story, brilliant acting, average gameplay, no fast travel. The fact that this is a console port leaps out, but it isn't "broken" as some mention--just "console clunky." At least it isn't some pay-to-win, micro-transaction game, like every other AAA game these days, and for that, we should all be grateful.

    Mafia 2 was better looking for my eye, but Mafia III is like a uncut diamond, still needs to be polished, so gameplay/mechanics and sound design are really good and well done, soundtrack and driving are fantastic but looks... above average, all this work and bad graphics ruins the gameplay. Waiting for patches and more graphics options or even upgrade (textures pack).     i have never reviewed a game like mafia 3 iv reviewed about 7 or 8 games on this site and this game was the toughest one to form an opinion on most of what was in the game was good but the list of the bad stuff is not short either starting off with the glitches i found in the game
    i had bullet holes show up in the water the one time i shot at it

    the auto save did a good job saving my progress despite the crashes
    the story was fantastic overall
    the cut sense for the most part had the best quality cut sense i have ever seen graphics wise
    satisfying gameplay brutal take downs that's only beaten by the gears of war series
    a satisfying ending that easily **** on mafia 2,s stupid ending
    satisfying stealth mechanics
    and the best soundtrack i have ever heard since the witcher 3
    the general bad stuff
    killing enemies in cars while in a car yourself was far to easy
    90% of the mission objectives in the game is just kill this steal this destroy that or all 3
    the pc being locked at 30 fps the first 3 to 4 days of its release
    graphic quality being inconsistent beyond the cut sense just look at the sky when you want to see the worst of it
    a very bare bones car customization that mafia 2 **** on
    inconsistent enemy ai rangeing from being suicidal idiots while others where actually using cover smartly to try to kill you

    для объективности стоит рассматривать игру отдельно от серии игр мафия, т.к. она ничего общего кроме названия с ней не имеет . банальный, затертый и клишированный сюжет о мести, унылый геймлей, скучный главный герой, геймплей, состоящий из захвата вышек примерно на 85% неозволяют оценить ее выше чем 7/10, но если найти к ней правильный подход, и не рассматривать игру как часть серии,для объективности стоит рассматривать игру отдельно от серии игр мафия, т.к. она ничего общего кроме названия с ней не имеет . банальный, затертый и клишированный сюжет о мести, унылый геймлей, скучный главный герой, геймплей, состоящий из захвата вышек примерно на 85% неозволяют оценить ее выше чем 7/10, но если найти к ней правильный подход, и не рассматривать игру как часть серии, подойти к ней без завышенных ожиданий, и подойти к ней как к обычному шутеру, то мы получим отличный, с учетом того что разработчики являются новичками в индустрии, экшн. некоторые находки очень неплохи, сюжет, хоть и клишированный, но все же весьма интересный и интригующий в некоторых местах, много харизматичных персонажей, а концовка очень удивила, концовок к слову завезли несколько, что радует. итак, что имеем в итоге более менее крепкий шутер с заватом вышек, игра неплоха, но, не сказать что так уж и хороша. поиграть стоит и, если вы найдете в себе силы проийти ее до конца, то вряд ли пожалеете. но двух тысяч она едва ли стоит, так что лучше подождать распродажи. 7/10, одназначно… Expand

    Ich kann Mafia III nicht weiterempfehlen, da es selbst wenn man die technischen Fehler ausblendet nur an Potenzial der Marke und des Settings kratzt. Zu wenig wurde sich während des Entwicklungsprozesses um die Fortführung der Kern Markenwerte der Mafia Serie Gedanken gemacht. Mit dem Resultat das ein massentaugliches 08/15-Spiel ohne jeglichen Wiedererkennungswert sich den Namen Mafia III gibt.

El primer problema es precisamente ese, es un juego inacabado, lanzado con demasiados problemas, sin avisar de problemas de compatibilidad con ciertos procesadores (Phenom II p.ej) y con la cada vez más habitual estrategia de inflar el precio con conceptos absurdos. El juego completo no debería costar cerca de 70 euros y punto.

    El juego en si es excelente, puede ser más abierto que los anteriores, pero fuera de la historia y las misiones "opcionales" no hay nada interesante que hacer. En ese sentido no es ningún GTA V.

    El combate intenta ser algo más realista de lo habitual en estos juegos, añade un sigilo un poco simplón pero entretenido y hasta cierto punto te deja escoger como ejecutar las misiones.

    Los precios de las armas en el juego son exagerados y por más negocios que controles siempre te van a resultar muy caras y lo que es peor además no se pueden guardar de ninguna forma, tendrás que comprarlas cada vez que cambies. Este detalle arruina un poco la diversión.

    La conducción esta bien, pero el daño visible en los coches da varios saltos atrás con respecto a Mafia I y II, es realmente malo en ese sentido, sinceramente, da hasta vergüenza ajena.

    A día de hoy no tienes un garage en el que guardar coches y acabarás usando los pretederminados para el personaje la mayoría del tiempo, afortunadamente 3 de ellos son bastante atractivos, pero si no te gustan no hay otra opción.

    La historia es excelente, aunque las elecciones que te permiten hacer durante la mayor parte del juego son un poco cutres y no tienen demasiado sentido (distribuir la ciudad entre tres subjefes, a cambio de distintos servicios), al final mejora en ese sentido, aunque sospecho que la mayoría conseguiremos el mismo final de los varios disponibles.

    Como vaya a ser de rejugable va a depender mucho de lo que añadan. A día de hoy poco más que Mafia II.

    Sólo lo recomiendo para los muy aficionados a este tipo de juego. Como fánatico del estilo no podía dejarlo pasar, pero si no es tu caso, probablemente disfrutes más de GTA V.    … Expand

Also in some areas where the are lots of trees and shadows the fps would drop down to 40 for no reason at all. Also I spent so much time trying to fix the controller keys since they were not mapped at all.     While this game deviates from the format, the story of revenge shown isn't something original but it's done well and presented nicely. Everytime you kill someone and work your way up the list, the kill is awesome. It gets tedious after a while, but the gameplay makes up for the game loop.

Отличная, порой даже душещипательная история, жизнь определённых слоёв общества показана неплохо, мотивация главного героя порой хромает, но выражена довольно понятно. Ниточка событий теряется только,Недавно прошёл игру на PC и могу сказать, что это довольно хороший продукт. Всё не решался его купить из-за отзывов а-ля 0 из 10. Игра не без минусов, но явно не то, что я вижу в отзывах. Отличная, порой даже душещипательная история, жизнь определённых слоёв общества показана неплохо, мотивация главного героя порой хромает, но выражена довольно понятно. Ниточка событий теряется только, если выполнять часто побочные задания. Я лично уже почти потерял смысл всего происходящего по главной истории, но во время забил на побочные квесты до самого конца. В общем ни сюжет, ни мотивация героев у меня не вызвали негатива.
    Графика и техническая сторона тоже не вызвали, НО... не встретив за всю игру ни одного бага (было лишь пара вылетов на рабочий стол) я решил, что люди просто клевещут на игру. Потом у знакомых я всё таки увидел эти баги... баг на беге и багом погонял. И оружие пропадало и люди в небо улетали и машины по воде ездили... у меня такого не было, поэтому занижать оценку с моей стороны глупо. Физика в игре, конечно же, не на высоте.     The game left a good impression. Writers and artists have done great job, as well as actors who played the main characters (+ awesome soundtrack), but the game designers disappointed. In general I enjoyed the game and I hope see the Mafia 4.

I felt like I was playing with a strobo light pointed on my face, so I definitely recommend epileptic people not to play it. Nevertheless, I like the fact that you can literally smell the 60’s. Unless people don’t disappear while you’re looking them, you can see how the streets are full of life, lights and colours. You can hear people discussing in bars and along the street, so you’ve always the impression of looking at something alive. There are even appropriate collectibles for the setting, which can be magazines like Playboy or Hot Rod, music albums and communist propaganda manifests. The soundtrack is beautiful and perfect for the setting. The whole world is well defined and rich of particulars, but the defects that I previously said ruin a big part of all this. The gameplay is funny but nothing special. The driving isn’t too bad, but the pointing system is so horrible that I had to activate many aids. Moreover, the fact that you’re constricted to repeat many times the same actions can make the game repetitive after a while. The plot is very poor and simple, but I didn’t expect more from a game that tells about mafia. In the end i gave a rating of 7 just because I loved too much the other chapters and because I think that a rating of 3.6 is too low. I didn’t give more because it would have been just too much for this game. I didn’t play any dlc but I hope they’re better than that.… Expand

    this is the most divisev game of this series. The best story ever in gangstar/mafia story( since Mafia 1). Highlits:
    *best simulation car driving
    *best radio stations with commentary
    *best story driven in a game
    *great shooting mechanism
    Bad:
    *so much repetitive missions(beside DLC)
    *repetitive actions
    *youMUST complete this **** side underboss actions to forward storry action

    The definitive edition is a very good game. Most bugs have been fixed. There are very few Bug. The story is very good. The vehicles are well controlled. The game can become repetitive after a long time. Many times you do the same thing in the game. I recommend buying it at a discounted price.

    First game of the franchise i've played, and i really loved it. I still remember, i cracked it the first time i played and spent a lot of hours on it. Then i discovered there were DLCs, and i just kept trying to find a way to donwload and use them... Some years later i bought the complete game with all DLCs and spent around 60 hours with it all.     Not the best of the franchise. Not the greatest story, not the greatest gameplay. But the 60s ambiance is really good, the musics are really well used and the characters well written. If you only play for the story, this is a great game. i can't wait to see mafia 4

    I loved both Mafia games. Even though the Mafia II was mediocre game play wise, it had absolutely top notch atmosphere, attention to detail, great graphics, good story and characters and many more.

    Mafia III lost a bit of that atmosphere and detail to have MORE game play. But it doesn't mean it's better. It's just more repetitive. It's such a pity. Many things were done well here and    I loved both Mafia games. Even though the Mafia II was mediocre game play wise, it had absolutely top notch atmosphere, attention to detail, great graphics, good story and characters and many more.

    Mafia III lost a bit of that atmosphere and detail to have MORE game play. But it doesn't mean it's better. It's just more repetitive. It's such a pity. Many things were done well here and the game doesn't deserve that low userscore at all, but it's a wasted potential.

    Pros:
    - Story is good, presented pretty uniquely for an open world game.
    - Some characters are pretty well written.
    - Very well designed city and the feel of the times.
    - Nice shooting and driving.
    - Good graphic effects sometimes (rain, lighting at night)
    - Facial animation and acting
    - The idea for core game play mechanics

    Cons:
    - Core game play is repetitive and boring after first districts
    - Bosses don't feel very unique, nor do the encounters with them (apart from 2 or 3)
    - Washed out colors, blurry graphics.
    - Cops do literally nothing. Speed limits don't exist.
    - Generally the game play is a mess. It has good ideas and parts, but things don't add up.
    - Much less attention to detail
    - A lot of bugs.

    Mafia III isn’t necessarily a bad game, but it is definitely not a true heir to the Mafia series. The story is rich and the gameplay is satisfying (although it’s nothing special), but having played the previous games in the series (especially the first one), I never felt like I was playing a Mafia game.
