    After so many years of waiting it's as though they have applied a Watch Dogs feel to the game. The graphics are nice in places but even now the Illusion engine from Mafia 2 is better. It has gone incredibly towards the arcade side, and not in a good way. Repetative gameplay that for me at least does not immerse me in the game, and I'm incredibly disappointed this was the end product.     Mafia III is like a bad mix of Ubisoft grind and GTA V game mechanics. Mafia I was better in almost every way. It even makes Mafia II look good.
    What a waste for such an outstanding soundtrack.

    4/10 for robbing pricing policy in developing countries. Wonder why they don't try to rise prices 5-10 times in US, if they so need to repay spendings?

    Although this game sets in an open-world, I feel like the devs had not fully utilize it. There aren't many things to do in New Bordeaux. Gameplay gets old very very quickly, and the missions are very repetitive. Story wise, it was meh. Maybe it is the lack of content, the game forces you to play those what are supposed to be boring repetitive side missions to progress further into the mainAlthough this game sets in an open-world, I feel like the devs had not fully utilize it.     Thoroughly mediocre. Muddy, dated graphics and no innovation on show here - indeed, this is a massive leap back from Mafia II and is basically a poorly done GTA clone.

    At the time of writing, an FPS patch is in place to fix the 30 FPS lock, but not only was the fact the game wasn't released with that already in place shocking enough, it won't fix the issues the actual game has. There should also be a garage for that sweet car I stole from Tickfaw Harbor, but nah, game doesn't let you.

    30 FPS lock on launch is garbage, and it takes an awful lot of ram (reduces all of my other running processes, making them unresponsive, and takes up 60%). I can say the Witcher 3, a game with three times more content, takes up less ram (40% with responsive processes) while not causing me a near blue screen. (I'm on a standard 8 gigs.)

    Controls are solid and general mechanics (on-foot, driving, shooting, stealth) are not bad at all.

    Historical accuracy and setting is always a plus.

    It's K. I waited for this game ever since 2011, but it's not living up to my hype. I'd be fuming if I didn't get this for free, and remember guys, the rest of the game will come out within the course of a year. Yeah, lmao, stuff that should be base game is DLC, I would've given this a five but I'll just leave it at a 4.    … Expand

    This game is mediocre at best. The enemy AI is very bad and some of the enemies act like they are blind.
    I dont understand why they used that poor idea of a 60s veteran that came back to New Orleans and became a "mafia" member. The story is repetitive and looks like something made in a hurry, many games have similar storylines, so this game story is not enjoyable.

    I should mention that the missions are boring and repetitive, even some places are very similar and all you do is kill guy after guy, it becomes very action-centered and frustrating because of the lack of variety and the lack of ideas of the developers.
    The main character is boring and bland, he lacks personality and the npcs are not better, they behave like dumb robots. This game is also poorly optimized for PC, The driving mechanics are good but they are very unrealistic because when you hit other vehicles they act like a ramp instead of making your car bump.

    + Nice graphics in some places.
    + Good variety of weapons.
    + Good driving mechanics

    Bad (-)
    - Painful AI, some enemies do not react to your presence.
    - Very unrealistic combat and driving animations.
    - Repetitive and boring missions and characters.
    - Uninteresting main charcter and storyline.
    - This game is locked in 30 fps and it has many bugs.
    - Mafia 1 has better animations and it is more realistic,

Game has okay graphics and decent open-world sandbox play... but becomes damn near painfully repetitive. You go into a neighborhood, attack smaller businesses, work your way up, then take out the neighborhood boss to liberate said neighborhood. Then wash/rinse/repeat.

    Even the storyline itself    I originally gave this a thumbs up review... though for the life of me, I can't recall why.     Even the storyline itself wasn't that bad... and originally I had a kick in taking out racist groups and such... but I coudn't bring myself to even finish the game, and even the thought of reinstalling and pushing myself to finish it brings back flashbacks of the overly dull repetitive and grindful nature of my last time attempting to play this game... and to me, that's not enjoyment, it's painful mind-numbing boredom. :-/

    No es un desastre de juego. Pero si es una vergüenza que sea secuela de esta saga. De haber salido como IP nueva, quizá se vería con mejores ojos. Pero si te atreves a ponerte el nombre, tienes que aceptar la responsabilidad que ello conlleva.
    Es divertido a veces, tiene un par de puntos bien llevados, pero tiene tantos apartados mal hechos que temo haber visto como enterraba la saga    No es un desastre de juego.     A GTA-style game that fails to engage on virtually all fronts. Mafia 3 is a cliched, boring, non-creative and poorly executed entry to the franchise. It's also annoyingly unoptimized for a 2016 game and that says a lot.

    Game sadly feels like an unfinished product. A lot of technical difficulties, slighlty outdated graphics and more technical problems. Story on the other hand is good, but after an hour or two game got extremely repetetive, to the point of being a chore, not a fun experience

    Buggy game. Unimpressive graphics and gameplay. Extremely repetitive and doesn't feel like they were creative at all. The plot started off eerily similar to GTAV and you spend the rest of the game repeatedly shooting a warehouse of people over and over until you beat the game. Pretty boring, couldn't even finish the game.

    The game is fun but visuals are locked at 30 frames and the graphics are all blurry and grainy. Once again a PC game is limited by the consoles. Game play and story is solid tho but i wont give it more than a 4 until they fix the fps lock and hopefully give it a graphics update to make it not look like ****

    Simply its not even half way for PC, feels like pre alpha or something, really disappointment, do not buy Pc version its not worth it even with 60 fps, i doubt that a major texture fix its done, this is really REALLY bad for an AAA(?) game

    La verdad me encanta la saga de mafia, los primeros me parecen muy buenos, pero este desentona mucho, creo que hacer el juego mundo abierto no estuvo bien, ya que, la recreación esta bien, pero falla en que el mundo no hay mucho que hacer en realidad si no estas de misión no hay nada que hacer, no se puede customizar el personaje, no hay minijuegos, ni minitareas al azar en el juego, muyLa verdad me encanta la saga de mafia, los primeros me parecen muy buenos, pero este desentona mucho, creo que hacer el juego mundo abierto no estuvo bien, ya que, la recreación esta bien, pero falla en que el mundo no hay mucho que hacer en realidad si no estas de misión no hay nada que hacer, no se puede customizar el personaje, no hay minijuegos, ni minitareas al azar en el juego, muy poca interacción con el mundo. En resumen el mundo es aburrido.

    Relacionando con la historia me parece bueno, el juego si tiene algo que contar, posee buenos personajes y buen desarrollo de estos. Muy buena ambientación y banda sonora.

    Lo malo seria, por la parte técnica, gráficos que parecen de la generación pasada y peor diría yo, no a la altura de los actuales, mala optimización para lo pobre que es en temas de gráficos, añadiendo que no puedes jugar a unos 60 fps estables con una PC gamer de gama alta, la IA también muy mala, no representa un reto en el sigilo es muy fácil colarse en instalaciones enemigas.

    Entorno a la jugabilidad, es buena, es cómoda, las ejecuciones violentas me parecen bien, pero lo que haces en el juego es siempre lo mismo, colarte en un edificio y matar a un objetivo, lo que cae en que en el juego siempre estarás haciendo lo mismo, muy monótonas las actividades y misiones.

    El juego en verdad no esta a la altura de un AAA y te hace recordar que 2K no esta a la altura de Rocktars Games.    … Expand

All you do is take a zone and go to the next one, and the way you take these parts of the city is ALWAYS the same way. It's a shame that this game has the "Mafia" tittle because mafia 1 and 2 were great but this game, just a repetitive garbage.

    There are too many glitches. I'm disappointed. Developers made completely new style of 60th. I loved Mafia 1, it was al capone's time. Unfortunately, Mafia 3 and Mafia 1 are absolutely different games.

    One of the most disappointing games of all time. Incredible location, time period, music, cars, atmosphere, political and racial undertones. All for nothing as the story is beyond repetitive. It's one long grind. The only interesting mission is in the very beginning. Where's all that great story telling the first Mafia had? The gameplay is awful. Enemies are beyond stupid. There's no joyOne of the most disappointing games of all time. Incredible location, time period, music, cars, atmosphere, political and racial undertones. All for nothing as the story is beyond repetitive. It's one long grind. The only interesting mission is in the very beginning. Where's all that great story telling the first Mafia had?     Opravdu zatím nejhorší díl série. Mafia 3 je venku od října 2016 a dodnes trpí docela vážným postižením, kterému jsem z počátku nevěřil ale postupem času jsem pochopil. Grafika je dobrá, ovládání vozidel jak v předchozím díle dobré a příběh jakbysmet. Vskutku základ by tady byl.
    Hru bohužel ničí lagy, bugy i pády . ♥♥♥♥♥ jde na první pohled vidět že tady asi málo platili vývojáře, protože    Opravdu zatím nejhorší díl série. Mafia 3 je venku od října 2016 a dodnes trpí docela vážným postižením, kterému jsem z počátku nevěřil ale postupem času jsem pochopil.     To be honest... 4 years after launch and this game is still full of glitches and crashes very often. The gameplay is repetitive and predictable. The only 2 good things? The story cutscenes and Vito Scalleta... . Other then that, it's not really worth playing.

    A a big let-down since the first two Mafia games. While I loved Mafia I and Mafia II, this game bored me really quick. The story is boring and the gameplay repetitive.

    Si bien, no es un juego totalmente nefasto, sin duda es el peor de toda la saga. El que yo considero que es el mayor defecto de este juego es el gran relleno que tiene, es decir, lo alargaron mediante misiones aburridas y los mecanismos de territorios, que si bien, al principio parecen buenos y divertidos, al final terminan convirtiéndose repetitivos y tediosos. Algo que caracterizaba aSi bien, no es un juego totalmente nefasto, sin duda es el peor de toda la saga. El que yo considero que es el mayor defecto de este juego es el gran relleno que tiene, es decir, lo alargaron mediante misiones aburridas y los mecanismos de territorios, que si bien, al principio parecen buenos y divertidos, al final terminan convirtiéndose repetitivos y tediosos. Algo que caracterizaba a los dos primeros juegos fue su corta historia, que si bien, era un punto negativo, creo que esto es muchísimo peor. Ahora, si mejoraron algunos aspectos, ya que yo considero que la jugabilidad mejoro un poco sobre los anteriores mafia, sin embargo, no la consideraría buena. La música que contiene el juego es agradable y muy bien inspirada en la época. Vimos un aumento grande de armas a comparación del juego anterior. En conclusión, el juego tenía potencial para ser el mejor de la saga, pero de por si la historia es la mas liviana de los 3, todavía quedo peor con todo el relleno que ya mencioné.     I never uninstalled PC game so fast like Mafia III. My expectations were really high, because Mafia I was really amazing (One of the my first games), Mafia II was really cool too. I do not understand why they could not follow such a good series...Maybe the story is a little bit interesting but that port. The game is so f**** broken. I am afraid that either updates won't help.

    How many times do I have to do the same thing? This is crazy! Every single quest should be unique and different. The quests are repetetive. And the game is not about Mafia; this is about a black serial killer who wants to make a revenge.

    What a disapointment. You know which part of this game is good? Soundtrack, only soundtrack. But you know what? They ddidnt make it so kudos to somebody else. Everything else looks cheap, dated and from the start you know you are not playing AAA game. This game looks like it was made by some small studio somewhere in asia.

    Worst thing in the franchise. This game is a joke only. Quests is boring as hell, all same.: Go iinterrogate a man after go destroy after go kill the boss....only this quest type in the game very very boring! And of course lot of bugs, high end pc cant running this sh!t, fps drops like hell.

    Terrible depth of field simulation. The thing about true depth of field is that it depends on the object your eyes are focused on. In Mafia 3 you can only guess where that object is and most of the things on the screen are pretty randomly blurry. Looks weird and cheap.     Very poor graphics, blurry at best. The game feels a Beta release due to the glitches. Does not draw inspiration from Mafia 2, and is a huge step backwards.

    Don't even bother buying it. The game takes many hours of your life to finish it, while the plot could be few hours long, but the repeatable gameplay makes it last much longer. If this wasn't enough, this game has a ton of technical issues and has cut out the best mechanics of it's predecessors.

    This game is so awful. When I decided to play on PC, it was because I have a choice. I could choose my hardware, my software, my resolution, my framerate, and my graphics, but what Hangar 13 did is unacceptable. They locked the game to 30FPS, and their reason for that is: "The team has been hard at work ensuring that Mafia III’s performance is consistent across all platforms, and right now the game runs at a solid 30 frames-per-second."

    That's the most **** I have ever heard in one sentence. Mafia III for PC is a console port. The game has so many problems when it comes to reflections, lighting, and no SLI support. The antialiasing just blurs the game to make the edges look better, the PC controls are horrendous, and the game is being upscaled from 720p. It's so damn hard to focus on the story aspect when the screen is tearing, the graphics are glitching out, things pop in at ridiculous distance, but wait, they are releasing a patch to make the game run over 60FPS, and fix the issues. Too late, you already screwed up the game's launch, and what you have done will not be forgotten. They did release the patch to unlock the framerate, but since they never optimized the game good, it still runs like **** This was my birthday present, and it's the worst **** birthday present I have ever gotten. Hangar 13 didn't deliver on their promise on putting time, and effort into their PC version. You had 5 **** years to sort all this **** out, but you didn't. Nice job Hangar 13, you made a sequel to Mafia II worse.

In this game, Lincoln Clay in the role of Rambo brings everyone. this is not realistic. I will play Mafia 2 with great pleasure. Part 3 completely disappointed me.

    I was surprised of the horrible game physics when driving a car.
    The missions are repetitive because 2K built an overcrowded RPG.

    4- the movement of the main character is dull and swing , the driving of cars is too bad and old .

    The developers do try something different and new with the narrative: the documentary style to tell the story is quite new and enjoyable to watch, but the game has so many flaws, is so god-awfuly repetitive and feels so old that I just can care enough about the story.

    My older rig (PhenomII x6 1090T + 16GB DDR3 + GTX 960) couldn't run this game as it needs SSE4.x Instruction set for some reason which my Processor Lacks . So I had to play this on a Friends PC.

    1. Graphics : Terrible Terrible graphics - All I see is low res textures with washed out colors and a horrible yellow filter .     FC2 had this color filter too - but at least it didn't look like a blurry mess like this one . This game has 10 GBs of movies and ~6 GBs of audio + 15 Gb laguage packs. . Everything else goes to models, animation and textures. So one can guess, why the game is so blurry and why it can’t be fixed by any patch. They simply made it with year 2000 textures. Most of them do not exceed 512×512 pixels in resolution. Meh.

    2. AI - Non Existent .
    3. Repetitive ? - yes , but i didn't mind it.
    4. Combat - Satisfying , not challenging at all - but GOOD.
    5. Story - Good .
    6. Vehicle control - easy , mafia 2 had harder controls .
    7. Optimization : Really really poor - A game that looks this bad with such a terrible AI should not demand this kinda resource.

    Question to the Devs - why do you need SSE4.x instruction set for this dogs**t?

    Начну с хорошего. В игре нормальный сюжет, прекрасный саундтрек и красивые катсцены. Хах, недолго хорошее длилось. Те самые отлично срежисированные катсцены так хороши, потому что их кот наплакал. Большинство диалогов проходят как в ГТА между тобой и продавцом хот-догов: подошел, нажал Е, смотришь как герои тупо стоят перед друг-другом и разговаривают, изредка двигая руками.
    Весь сюжет и атмосфера рушатся бесхитростностью геймплея. Захват района занимает часа полтора и это вам придется провернуть раз 15. Причем затравка всегда одна и та же: ну этот парень рулит районом, но он прячется, пойди вымани его и убей(завербуй). Хоть бы раз я появился на районе и местный босс вылетел бы на меня, как говорится, guns blazing, и мне не пришлось бы снова проворачивать всю эту мутотень. Но нет. Езди по району, ставь прослушку, вали тупых болванчиков пачками, а потом тебя вознаградят 15 минутами более-менее адекватного геймплея и 2-минутной кат-сценой. Повторяйте пока не стошнит.
    О, а теперь давайте подробней пройдемся по самому процессу нанесению ущерба мафии. Каждый раз вы будете зачищать одну и ту же локацию минимум два раза. Один раз вы придете туда и кого-нибудь допросите/что-то взорвете/украдете/кого-то убьете, а второй раз вы вернетесь туда же убивать мини-босса. КАЖДЫЙ РАЗ. А иногда приходится и по 3 раза возвращаться, потому как ты не взорвал какой-то там ящик, а больше вариантов нанести ущерб не осталось. Зачищаешь локацию еще разок и бегаешь ищешь, что же ты пропустил.
    О, а вам понравились внезапные дополнительные миссии в ГТА, вроде съемки кинозвезд, спонтанных пробежек, спасения схваченной бандюгами девушки? - Забудьте. Вот там стоит грузовик, угоните и перегоните его через всю карту. Повторить еще 15 раз.
    Это я молчу про Титановые кусты, которые, черт возьми, тот же грузовик останавливают на полной скорости. И пусть Господь даст вам сил выдержать это занудство и скуку, чтоб в тех самых 2-минутных проблесках кат-сцен разглядеть вышеупомянутые плюсы.

    It's bad pretty much all across the board (other than the music). Hopefully though, other developers will play it and learn what NOT to do when developing their own games. There is a lot here to learn what not to do. Hangar13? Give it up. Developing games isn't for you. You all should go and find another career. You suck.

    Poorly optimized even on strong PC's. outdated graphics engine.Relatively interesting story...for the first hour then its the same repetitive. go kill this guy. go kill that guy. No original ideas and i was bored after about 3 hours. Very poor game.

    I am writing this review based on what little time I have played the game (on what little time the game has allowed me to play since it came out).

    I will start with the Cons: 1. No mouse or keyboard proper rebinding. You CAN rebind to any key you want, but the keys may not work at all, especially if you rebind using the right side keyboard and mouse buttons, actions will NOT work    I am writing this review based on what little time I have played the game (on what little time the game has allowed me to play since it came out).

    I will start with the Cons:
    1. No mouse or keyboard proper rebinding. You CAN rebind to any key you want, but the keys may not work at all, especially if you rebind using the right side keyboard and mouse buttons, actions will NOT work anymore, and you will be forced to use the wasd scheme. Not good for Disabled gamers. or gamers used to playing on the right side of keyboard, or using different mouse keys.
    2. Extra mouse buttons are not seen, nor are they mappable.
    3. There are 4 different FOV's in this game, and they are all different, and they change about every minute to 2 minutes. Fine if you are 15 feet from a tv, not good when you are a foot from a Monitor.
    4. The game is worse than Max Payne 3 or the worst Tomb Raider at taking control away from the player.
    5. On monster rigs, even with their so called fps patch, the game is still limited to 62 fps, on 144hz monitors.
    6. NO FOV slider, ini, cfg, anything to change the fov. Get ready for headaches and migraines.
    7. Graphics are as dated as 2003-2004. Only the cut scenes look good. But, even the cut scenes have doubling in them, like the AA is off, or maybe its the blur they put in.
    8. Shooting has no weight, or feel to it. It feels like an old arcade shooter from the 80's.
    9. Driving feels like they took it from the game Driver: San Francisco. Feels more like drift car than even most drift car games.
    10.
    11. Shadows from clouds. They follow you indoors, as well as ABRUPTLY cutting off one inch one way or the other.
    12. Shadows. You are either in pitch black, or you are in hallogen lighting. The in-game lighting cannot be adjusted correctly, its either one or the other.

    Pro's:
    1. The muscle car you drive looks nice.
    2. The narrator is excellently voiced.
    3. I will have to get back to you anything else good, as so far there isnt anything else I think is good.

    TL:DR
    Do NOT buy this game, as it is incomplete at this time. Even console players are complaining about serious bugs in the game.    … Expand

    The Graphic is not consistent Aaaghhhh **** game.The Gameplay is not good too. And God...... The Skybox Seriously.Even Indie Games have good skyboxes.The Missions are repetitive. The only good thing that i have experienced is driving its better than Mafia 2 which was a marvelous game.I played half way through Mafia 3 and have uninstalled.

    This game is repetative as **** You are literally doing the same thing OVER and OVER AGAIN ! Nothing like Mafia or Mafia II. Soundtrack is the only good thing about this game. If only thing you care about is shooting, then this is a game for you.

    It's just boring. I've played it for one day, and on the second one I just doesn't feel I want to play it. And I'm used to kinda boring games, simulators, engineering. This is obviously not this kind of boring, it's just like an empty husk of a game. It have some generic plot about revenge, it have some generic repetitive gameplay, generic open world city, when you often feel like you'veIt's just boring. I've played it for one day, and on the second one I just doesn't feel I want to play it. And I'm used to kinda boring games, simulators, engineering.     The worst thing in this game is repeating the same missions all the time. Plus the game is glitched. Disappearing textures are not the worst thing here. Only thing that saves this game from 0 grade for me is driving patttern and final boss missions.

    Mafia 2 is my favorite game of all time. Mafia 3 is the worst game I have ever played. It is complete waste of time. Very ugly game and terrible PC port. They have destroyed one of the coolest franchise in gaming industry. WP!

    Why? First off, the formula is 30% Mafia and the rest 70% of the formula is copied- and pasted DIRECTLY    This game is not worthy the Mafia heritage.     Why?

    First off, the formula is 30% Mafia and the rest 70% of the formula is copied- and pasted DIRECTLY from the typical, generic gameplay, themes, features, style and mechanics you see in all other games. You can use xrayvision and see enemies through walls by pressing a button (they glow read) which is copied from Batman. The ''brutal takedown'' are directly copied from Hitman including many HUD-elements such as ''Trespassing'' appearing on the screen when you enter restricted areas. Weapons on the ground has glowing icons over them. The game even borrow ''one punch, one kill'' from GTA V; punch a person one time and the fall down dead. It is directly copied - and there is too much of it. The screen feels littered with HUD elements.

    Secondly, the game is dumbed-down. Xrayvision might fit in Batman, but certainly not in a mature (at least supposed to be mature) gangster game such as Mafia. Neither does the devs love for Hollywood explosions fit into the game; no it does not make sense that a car explodes just because you put a few bullets into it. A part from the fact that the game is dumbed down in terms of aids for the player, the AI is dumbed down as well. AI is dumb as rock; they are more or less deaf, blind and lacks shooting accuracy. Shootouts becomes a shooting gallery.

    Third, in terms of story, Lincoln Clay is a black Vietnam-vet with superhuman abilities. Lincoln Clay is a lone-wolf, one-man army. The whole gameplay evolves very much around a vietnam vet literally going RAMBO and takes down whole crime syndicates on his own. The storytelling is good though - and cutscenes is what makes it worthwhile playing at all. But then there is just repetetive missions that has very little to offer. Typical gameplay is running to cover - mow down enemies - and maybe sprint towards them in full speed to use a quick stealth-takedown aided by a bombastic sound effect to it. Or jump out of a speeding car watching it crash into the bad guys and then and exlode.

    Fourth, In terms of graphics, the game is nothing special. There is as a matter of fact many issues. The skybox is horrible, there is pop-ups, low resolution textures, and the screen game is drenched in a orange-tint. Graphics is generally not a big deal - gameplay is what i consider most important. But Mafia III got does nothing of it right.

    Final verdict: Mafia III is not a special game. It is certainly not worthy the Mafia heritage.    … Expand

    The big pro is the music, superbly fitting in with the period. The negatives are simply that this is very much low bugdet when it comes to low textures and an abysmal frame rate. Refund applied for.

For that reason, either, support the PC release with another year's worth of development before release. Or don't do it.     I gave it a 1 for the excellent music track. Pretty much everything else about the game is bad. Some of the older Mafia titles are quite good and I have enjoyed those in the past. This trash was made for consoles and that usually destroys what might have been a good game as it did here.

    This cant even be called a video game, the PC build is a massively consolized and poor console port, aside from having massive performance issues, being a blurry mess and locked to "SOLID 30 FPS" as the devs said, the game is plagued by crashes and by the fact that it even exists, a pathetic attempt at creating a video game.

    Oh, and my brand new GTX 1070 & i7 4790k @ 4.5GHz I can't even run this close to a locked 60fps at 1440p. You better have a GTX 1080 overclocked and an i7 6700 overclocked to get to see 60 fps @ 1440. Doesn't even look good    As am owner of the last two games I cannot express my disappointment in 2k games. So, I will let the other user reviews do it for me. They all cover the vast issues.

    In overall by its game-play style, mechanics, strategy of story telling, arcade alike overall style (x-ray view - wtf????) this product reminds me a lot of such Ubisoft rubbish as Watch Dogs (capturing towers, stupid - linear AI's, practically non existent stealth elements), all FarCry series, except first, which was really great (again capturing towers/copy paste basis and the rest of that similar crap), Asassin Creed (the same stupid approach, capturing towers - AGAIN?!?!) and this list can be extended. It just shows how eager are companies in gathering fast and easy money, not giving a sh*t about their reputation and quality of product - it is much easier to copy the mechanics from other crap, just re-skin the product and resell the same a multiple times what so ever. This is just another copy paste crap that hamsters, owning the consoles will anyway consume without objectively seeing the reality, whose vision is blurred by heavy and expensive marketing machinery, which most likely costed more than the actual development of the game (as usual).

    In other words, this product is really far from what a real, genuine Mafia series was offering - with their special tension to little details, like interaction with different objects (cars, buildings, transport, citizens and so on), comparably much smarter AI's, much more interesting and exciting story, more realistic than "arcadish" approach of making both previous Mafia games, which is what a real Mafia fans where loving. As one reviewer wrote: "It is far more Saints Row III than anything else...", which says it all.

    In a conclusion, just search on the Internet for some comparison of detail of Mafia 1 (which is a 14!!!! year old game) or 2 vs Mafia 3 and you will understand how much worse this product has become.    … Expand

    Mafia III isn’t necessarily a bad game, but it is definitely not a true heir to the Mafia series. The story is rich and the gameplay is satisfying (although it’s nothing special), but having played the previous games in the series (especially the first one), I never felt like I was playing a Mafia game.
