    I enjoyed most of the game. It is a gritty game with an enjoyable storyline. You follow Vito Scaletta, a war hero. Vito chose to become a soldier rather than go to prison, and so we start fighting as part of a three man team in a town during Operation Husky. Upon completion of the mission, Vito has his first real contact with the Mafia, as Don Carlo attempts to persuade the Axis troops toI enjoyed most of the game. It is a gritty game with an enjoyable storyline. You follow Vito Scaletta, a war hero. Vito chose to become a soldier rather than go to prison, and so we start fighting as part of a three man team in a town during Operation Husky. Upon completion of the mission, Vito has his first real contact with the Mafia, as Don Carlo attempts to persuade the Axis troops to surender to the Americans. 2 Years later, Vito arrives back at Empire Bay, where he begins his life in the Mafia. Mafia was an interesting game. I enjoyed the extensive collection of 40's and 50's music (my favourite era of music) and the authentic weapons for its era. I also enjoyed driving the cars around, and with a speed authentic to the times (40's cars drive annoyingly slow, while the cars from the 50's are more supercharged). I also enjoyed just the general authenticity- it made me feel like i'm travelling around a city in America in the 1950's. The downsides however are unfortunately quite numerable. Firstly, I was quite annoyed there was no melee weapons. Although they are seen at points during the 1950's part of the game, I was annoyed that i couldn't use any of them. Also, i believed that there was not as many weapons in the game. I would of enjoyed a larger array of weapons, such as the BAR, a larger slection of Rifles and maybe even an STG44. A few Russian weapons would of been nice also. I also didn't enjoy the size and depth of the storyline. I found that it was a nice touch that Vito went to prison, but i would of liked to have seen more emphasis on working for the Mafia and being able to see the inner sanctum of the Mafia. The end was also somewhat of a disappointment, although at the same time it left me hungry for more. I cannot wait for Mafia 3 to come out, but I hope they roll out the kinks in the game but still retain that authentic feel. Overall, its a good, solid game. I cannot give it a perfect score, however i can still say i thouroughly enjoyed it, and i hope to see more in the future… Expand

    Nearly as good as Mafia 1 (which was very good) but a bit shorter and sadly it has contracted mild consolitis. Basically a GTA clone, albeit a very good clone. If you like GTA, you will like this. The Mafia series still does some things (like story and vehicle realism) slightly better than the GTA series.

    as a game i have to admit it is quite poor, the fighting is basic, the fist fights are clunky and there is a lack of stuff to do in the game world. However the story took me about 18 hrs to complete with minimal faffing around and if u sit back and just let your self be immersed in the story it is fantastic. It has excellent voice acting and a great balance of dark, gritty stuff and comicas a game i have to admit it is quite poor, the fighting is basic, the fist fights are clunky and there is a lack of stuff to do in the game world. However the story took me about 18 hrs to complete with minimal faffing around and if u sit back and just let your self be immersed in the story it is fantastic. It has excellent voice acting and a great balance of dark, gritty stuff and comic relief (that doesn't mean the game is funny, it just made me smile at points. There isn't exactly a central plot, rather you follow the life of a mafia thug and his rise and fall. The game takes place over decades and is fantastic in that a lot of the small plotlines in the game had a conclusion later in the game. I really did care about vito and his relationships. The game does an excellent job of doing a reverse of what other games do, making you think like vito rather than having you put your own ideals into the game without you realising it in the same way as film does. The guns are fairly satisfying to use and while like I said, clunky fist fights and not amazing combat it was not bad enough to make it a chore. One of the things that disturbed me was the last boss battle when the bad guy shouts something which made me reflect on everything that had happened and made me realise that all along I had been nothing but an attack dog, all that I was used for was being pointed in the right direction and let off the leash. It was extremely powerful and the ending left me shell shocked as even though I predicted it I did not expect it to happen the way it did. If you made it through this ramblefest long story short play the game for the story and you will not be let down, but I would still recommend waiting for a sale. Oh and the game looks amazing, yet runs very smoothly.… Expand

    Mafia 2 is more than just a game, this is the real Mafia adventure! It can be safely put next to a series of Godfather movies! Once you sit down and you do not come off until the very end, this is not even a story about tough mafia, and the two dream of Fool money, cars, women ... But in fact they are common sixes!

Well, I am disappointed with the console versions. Slow loading times and not as great as on the PC. Yeah, I know it's short, but at least you'll get some chances on Joe's Adventures.     The setting is simply wonderfull.

    If the money is right or a guy ‘deserves’ it. And any guy deserves it in their book. Are they the enemy? The bad guys in the story? Nope, Vito Scaletta, that is you and Joe is your best buddy. Is there any redemption? Any excuse? Any reason that explains their behavior? The    Vito Scaletta and Joe Barbaro are psychopaths.

    The game starts out with forcing Vito to the raise two thousand dollars quickly to pay off the massive depth your deceased dad has with a loanshark, and he turns to his favorite trick of the trade: violence.
    And why not? Vito has been fighting them nazis and fascists over in old Urupe, so instead of the president pointing his finger at whom to kill, now the hand that pays him does. That is how Vito explains it.
    And Vito does not hold back. Vito will beat up a dockworker resisting an extortion racket, so all the other dockworkers will pay up their haircut money: ten dollars. That is a whole day working for them.
    And when Vito’s sister Francesa gets beaten by his unfaithful husband(because being unfaithful and beating your wife go together like a hand and a glove) he simply resorts to beating up said husband and threatening him with another round of being boxing bag if he doesn’t play nice with Francesca.

    Does Vito feel bad?

    It is hard to tell because Vito’s facial expression never changes. Nor do we hear any inner monologue commenting on his own actions. He either hides his feelings very well or he has none. And thus he comes over as a psychopath.
    The game has you follow Vito along a linear path, that mostly consists of you driving Vito from one end of the map to the other end of the map, often just to watch a cutscene, through 15 short chapters in which you make no choice whatsoever. To underscore: this is a ZERO choices story.

    You might think you are let loose in an open world where you can make your own way, working yourself up the family ladder of with larger rewards, status as the game says in the sales pitch.
    Indeed the world of Mafia II looks gorgeous and has all the feel and promise of an open world game like Saint Row. But it has none of the side missions, mini games, leveling, car tweaking or area conquering that those open world games have.
    It is an empty world in which besides the main storyline, there is nothing much to do but to drive around for a bit, look at the retroworld of empire bay and, at best, collect some magazines with retro nudity(which is more hilarious than stimulating. Made using a busty lady who has a sixties style haircut -Mafia II abounds with historical errors).

    If Mafia II was meant to portray the life of a mobster than it would have needed some better grounding. I read American Mafia: A History of Its Rise to Power by Thomas Reppetto recently and it is obvious that the game makers did not.
    By the 50’s the mafia had changed. The prohibition had ended a decade before, which forced the mafia to find different methods of generating income. Gambling was one, which was mirrored by the rise of Las Vegas as gambling paradise. Also the open violence of gangsters such as Al Capone had shown that it caused public outrage and consequently brought in the retaliation from the authorities, even though some where corrupted through and through. Nobody wanted an open gang war on the streets, it was bad for everyone.
    Mafia II tells a story that is totally add odds with this. The game abounds with open violence fought out on the streets. It doesn’t show the move from smuggling boos to gambling and drugs dealing. And most of all, it doesn’t show the change in government policies that ultimately caused the demise of the mob: an increasingly effective (federal) police force. In this game the police, let alone the feds, have virtually no role to play. Of course the police will be a hindrance when stealing a car or speeding. But if you manage to lose the pursuing cops for about a minute they totally forget about you. And if they happen to have an arrest out for you or your car, you just ditch the car in the latter case and change your clothes in the first.

    Mafia II is a gorgeous looking game, but with a linear unimaginative story that forces you to drive a lot, dislikable characters and nothing to do, it is mostly an empty vessel. Consider buying it when it is in the bargain bin.    … Expand

    great game, with great expansion into the way Nvidia physX works. of course, you need a nvidia card to get most out of it. story is pretty solid, but overall not many memorable moments i can think of. controls are solid, but i wish it has some QTE in there. imagine, if they make this like 'Yakuza the game' or shenmue...

    Muy buen Juego!! Si te gustan los juegos tipo sandbox, de disparar y demás te gustará MAFIA II.
    Los gráficos, para ser de hace unos años, son bastante buenos, además de que puedes usar SweetFX para mejorarlos.

Each character has depth to them, and the rather brutal and downright melancholic nature of the story and the twists it takes is so meaty and gripping that it becomes impossible to touch the game again, for fear of ruining the good memories I had with the game. Also the lack of touching the game came as a result of there being no incentive to return the game because of the emptiness of its world. Barring the name of an open world game is kind of a shame since the city of Empire Bay is so beautifully crafted that it becomes frustrating that there is nothing other to do than rob stores and collect posters and playboy magazines. Other than that, Mafia 2 respects the time period for which it is set in, and the shooting, driving, and stealth mechanics work well enough in conjunction with the story elements. Calling it a GTA clone would be misleading, but there is no denying that the cruel life of Vito Scaletta is one for the books.… Expand

    The game's cool, I mean, I like the graphics and the ability to eat at diners and buy new clothing and all that, but there were some things that disappointed me. First all of, the game is short, it only took 8 hours for me to beat, and second of all when the game ends, you have nothing to do. Because there's no free ride. Doing weird stuff while doing your missions. i have been roaming the city after i ended the game just to upgrade cars and look at the beautiful cities. while this game might not be for everyone. i would recommend it to everyone whom wants to play a good mafia like game.     One of my favorite games ever!
    This setting is really amazing and original. The storyline is great and feels really life-like.
    The characters could have been from some real story, and the level of depth in the environment is very nice.

    One of my all-time favourite games. Great story and immersion, love the setting. Graphics are four years old now, but still look great (except from some facial animations, maybe). Game-play is very good, although i would like to blind-fire and move from cover to cover. All in all, a great action game and a wonderful gangster drama.

    This is not really an open world game but it's a great game in terms of story-driven FPS action adventure, the plot and characters are fascinating (tho I like the first game more) and the graphic is nice enough even in 2014, there's even a mission near the end that takes you way back into the first game's story which is a real surprise to me, well done 2K games.

    I like the driving very much for the clumsy acceleration and bumpy suspension, you even get scores for drifting or sliding in the air, the combat is straight FPS with a some melee and stealth, it's not difficult yet not repetitive, all in all a well-balanced adventure that sucks you into a gangster's life.
    (I finish this game in a weekend...can't get myself out of this game XD)    … Expand

    This is a really good game, I play it all the time. It has amazing graphics, wonderful story line which makes you really attached to the characters! You can really feel like your Vito in the game. The reason I gave this game a 9 rating is because of the reason that you can't shoot while you are driving a car, and the playboy pictures that you collect are rather useless and don't make muchThis is a really good game, I play it all the time.     Mafia II game does an excellent job of immersing you into the 40s-50s era and the great story coupled with some amazing voice acting behind very likeable characters really makes you feel you're inside a good gangster movie.

    Driving through the beautiful scenery and shooting up the people who stand in your way is really enjoyable. What I felt was lacking is some freedom and time to take    Mafia II game does an excellent job of immersing you into the 40s-50s era and the great story coupled with some amazing voice acting behind very likeable characters really makes you feel you're inside a good gangster movie.

    Driving through the beautiful scenery and shooting up the people who stand in your way is really enjoyable. What I felt was lacking is some freedom and time to take in the world around you. You don't get any chance to enjoy and spend all the money you earn because by the time you get them they get taken away as the story rushes you to the next chapter.

    Other than driving (between missions or chases) there is also shooting, fighting and stealth.

    Shooting is coverbased, a bit simplified like a shooting gallery. It does resemble a gangster shoot out, but it's not too fun or challenging.

    Stealth is not really free roam. There are just some segments with easy obvious implied stealth, so it doesn't feel to rewarding but it get's the job done. Most of the time you can't stealth, you just kill huge numbers of minion mobsters.

    Fighting is minimalistic with few mouse clicks, and also passable.

    Story has the usual mafia cliches. It may work if you haven't watched many such films, but I have so it's nothing special.

    All in all it's a pretty, detailed and atmospheric game even in 2015, but the gameplay and story aren't too exciting for me. Worth a run, mostly for the virtual world built.    … Expand

    After the disappointment that was Mafia III I decided to replay Mafia II 6 years on from the first time I played it and I had forgotten just how polished it was for the time, and even now it holds up incredibly well.

    The story is great and is pushed along nicely by some incredible voice work and a very capable script.     The story is great and is pushed along nicely by some incredible voice work and a very capable script. You become attached to the characters on screen and the main cast all have their own personalities and quirks which helps make them feel more real.

    Gameplay wise it's solid but simple, there's a basic cover system and a fighting mechanic which lets you punch the *bleep* out of your foes, sadly there are no melee weapons though which would have been great. The enemy AI for the most part are very smart and will often cover each other and try to flank you, sometimes they're even a little too quick off the draw as they come flying around a corner and instantly blow your head clean off, this is an area where Mafia II greatly surpasses the much newer Mafia III where enemies seem more than happy to stand around while you butcher their friends. You'll spend a lot of time driving your car and you have the option to play with simulation or arcade controls, personally I preferred arcade. Regardless as to which you pick cars handle well and the driving portion of the game feels more than fine.

    Another huge plus is the audio which is just fantastic, I've already commented on the voice work which is superb but the game also has a massive library of music from the era which really makes long car rides more enjoyable as you tap your foot along to the tunes.

    Visually it's still very nice 6 years later, it completely holds up and honestly looks better than some games that released much later, and you'll have no trouble hitting a solid 60fps on modern hardware as well so gameplay feels smooth and responsive at all times.

    There are a couple of niggles though, one being the lack of unique character models for lesser characters, when you get to a certain part of the game this becomes highly noticeable when everyone of the same race has the exact same model, it's very jarring, I wonder how long it would have taken to add some beards or something just to make them a little different. Another, more annoying issue is the extremely harsh checkpoint system, dying for any reason can mean some lengthy backtracking and it really did frustrate me at times, you can't manually save so you're at the mercy of the game and you're going to die even on medium difficulty so I'm sure most people will experience some frustrating due to this during their first playthrough.

    Overall I highly enjoyed Mafia II (again) and I recommend it to anyone, especially when it's on sale which it regularly is for £4.99. The DLC is not worth it, though.    … Expand

    A fantastic sequel to a fantastic franchise, Mafia II actually makes you feel like your in the days of when the Mafia were in the US of A, Mafia II is truly a fantastic open world game

    Mafia 2 : Hum.. comment dire ... L'un des meilleurs jeu de mafia ! L'ambiance new-yorkaise des années 40 50 est juste magique , jeu vraiment beau et l'histoire est vraiment super . Manque un mode multijoueur mais bon il est possible de jouer en multi avec des mods :)

    As the game goes on the story gets so much better. So do the shootouts. Play on pc so you can edit the three radio stations with your own music and customize your experience. It was nice adding music from Pulp Fiction and Goodfellas.

    Only downfall with this game there is no side missions at all, just campaign. Story and gameplay are awesome definately check this out.

    None the less the game doesn't set out to copy GTA or Saints Row's sprawling open worlds and instead feels more focused on it's recreation of gangster fiction with an intimate narrative with it's characters, although if this is all you are looking for - you will be disappointed.    … Expand

Mafia 2, like its predecessor is a story centered game, the developers deliberately excluded any side activity in order to keep the player focused on the story line.     Mafia II is probably one of the best open-world games that looks like a GTA clone, but once you play, you understand this is a completely different dimension. It isn't as action packed as GTA, but it has that great feel of 40's - the radio stations, Empire Bay, the characters and mafia. The story is very well written and although the game is quite short, I still enjoyed it very much. The soundtrack is absolutely magnificent - pure essence of early 50s.

    Great game, i started playing it without knowing what i was going to expect and the story, the characters, the setting was very well made. It hooked me in right at the first scene. If you like gangsters movies, GTA and shooters, you'll definitely like it.

    The story is great. A very Godfather story of mafia - power struggles, assassinations and betrayal. There are no side quests and I would actual consider this a good thing. This way the story is more focused and does not loose your interest in it. The Empire Bay which looks like New York set in the 1940-50s looks amazing and has great feel to it. The soundtrack additionally sets the mood as well.

    The game mechanics are on point. The driving feels good, shooting and action is both responsive and enjoyable. The array of weapons is good enough to enjoy. And there's nothing better than picking up tommy gun and shooting other mobsters.

    Overall really good experience, wonderful story - really worth picking up.    … Expand

    It's very good that some quests in the game can be played differently and some dialogі can change accordingly. Our character develops along with the story.
    The game has it's downsides and some of them can irritate gamers. For example Mafia 2 is technically an open-world game where you can go almost anywhere. But it do not push you to do anything outside of taking quests of the main story and just ride the city all around. What negative to mention is some really boring quests and missions. Money in the game is not much of use.
    But what disturbed me the most is probably a very bad checkpoint system. If I died I had to replay the whole section right from the beginning. In addition there is some random damage generation, so sometimes I could be fine after being shot multiple times, but sometimes instantly killed from the first shot. So there is some unbalance in the game and some missions are easily beaten, some can frustrate a lot.    … Expand

    really liked the Mafia 2 mainly from the challenges the police chase after you passed the red light. For me it was one of the best games in the Mafia trilogy

    Mafia II immerses you right away in the 40ies/50ies era. It is a beautiful game that is closer to an action game than a GTA like. Technically it was outstanding for when it came out. However, it is not the unforgettable experience that I was waiting for. The story line was not as fleshed out as what I hoped for (I played the first Mafia and loved it. I am also a huge fan of the GodfatherMafia II immerses you right away in the 40ies/50ies era. It is a beautiful game that is closer to an action game than a GTA like. Technically it was outstanding for when it came out. However, it is not the unforgettable experience that I was waiting for. The story line was not as fleshed out as what I hoped for (I played the first Mafia and loved it. I am also a huge fan of the Godfather anthology, Scarface, and other mafia classics...)

    My take away is that 2K Czech has done it's best developing the 40ies/50ies atmosphere and story line and I salute their work in doing so. However, this game is really inferior to the older/first Mafia. I hope they will learn from this experience and produce an outstanding Mafia III.

Para mi, desde el momento en el que ocurre esto deja de ser un juego sobre la mafia, y pasa a ser un simple shooter, con ambientación, sí, pero dejando a un lado lo que realmente debería ser el plato fuerte.

    No obstante, la primera parte me parece tan buena, que contrarresta lo malo de la segunda (que a pesar de no ser lo que debería es entretenida) y deja a mano un juego que, si te gusta la temática, recomiendo sin ninguna duda.    … Expand

    Amazing game. The Story is a masterpiece packing great characters and antagonists. The city of Empire Bay is extremely detailed and is really fun to explore. The Soundtrack is outstanding has some really good songs from the 40s and 50s. Driving around Empire Bay listening to great music in snowy winter is quite fun.

    one of the best games ive played best in the series compared to most games there is alot to do despite what some say you can put gas in your car eat in restaurants rob stores buy guns drive iconic cars of the 50s it does have a bit of a short story but alot of replay value over all 10 out of 10 in my books

Sí, efectivamente...una historia clásica de cualquier película noir de gangster a la cuál es imposible no rendirse debido a las estupendas cinemáticas perfectamente dobladas al castellano y la inmersión que nos ofrece tanto la ciudad, como las misiones principales que nos ofrecen. Es uno de los juegos con mejores físicas y detalles que he jugado hasta el día de hoy, detalles como que te llamen la atención por pasarte un semáforo en rojo, ver un matrimonio discutiendo por la calle totalmente a lo RANDOM XD o que te multen por ir deprisa son cosas que no se te van a olvidar en la vida. Y esto sólo son ejemplos :D Eso a la hora de vagar por la ciudad, luego están las misiones principales: tiroteos DE VERDAD, con buen sonido, con buen motor de destrucción y haciendo buen uso de las coberturas; sigilo; camuflajes; seguimiento en coche y persecuciones (por cierto, el sistema de conducción muy realista); salir por patas de una emboscada; peleas de puños con finishers e interacciones con el entorno BRUTALES...jugablemente tiene de sobra para que el juego se nos haga lo suficientemente divertido para poder avanzar en su interesantísima historia. Todavía no he cogido los coleccionables porque no le puse el suficiente interés, pero posiblemente lo vuelva a jugar en algún futuro en difícil y así aprovecharé para recoger más revistas Playboy… Expand

    Some missions were really boring and to add the cops I mentioned before....
    The gas stamps mission for an example... Not only there are no checkpoints, there is a time limit and every time I get chased by them I have to restart to do it right...
    The game`s story was not immersive enough and it ended rather quickly...
    At the end I was like : Is that it ???
    Not even free roaming ??? WTF Why was that even added ???
    A lot of people were trashing Mafia 3 but that game had a lot improved...
    If I compare a similar game, The Godfather 2, I would recommend that instead of Mafia 2...
    The atmosphere was captured well (culture, music, cars, society...)

    Naprostá pecka škoda jen že Američani donutily vydat osekanou hru proti naplánovanému obsahu. Hra zrála ve vývoji moc dlouho i kolik enginů vystřídala, hold menší tým potřebuje dost času, to zas Američani potřebují víc peníze jak skvělou hru.

    I was late to the party and only started playing this game this week.

    It took me 13 hours and 50 mins to complete. I would not replay this game either, because there is no incentive to, as it is a linear mission-based game. It IS a small open city concept game, but there is really nothing to do in the city other than the what the missions have you doing, which is mostly driving.     I went into this game after playing The Godfather game years back. I expected better graphics, which I got, and more similar type of gameplay that I saw from The Godfather. I thought the game was leading me to eventually running the city, controlling business, making money, buying cool stuff, customizing hot rides etc., but instead, the game just ended abruptly.

    I felt there was a story around the father character that was left incomplete, and even around the sister, which both don't receive enough attention.

    Other than driving around from point A to B, spending some time in jail to learn a new fighting technique, stealing a couple of cars to help drive you around quicker, there was little else the game had to offer. There were Playboy magazines that you could collect in the game, but I accidentally that found out 3/4 into the game and couldn't care less. I actually found all the images on YouTube.

    The game was entertaining up until it ended and I found out that I wasn't going to get what I wanted out of it, which was to be my own mob boss and run the town. Customize weapons, cars, clothing and manage businesses to grow my empire.

    I'll pass on Mafia III and hope to see what I've asked for in Mafia IV, if it ever gets created.    … Expand

    Mafia 2 is the best part of the trilogy. Charismatic main character and his partners, funny jokes, interesting atmosphere, interesting gameplay, realistic riding. Playing mafia 2, I felt it all. In this game you will be sad if one of the main characters dies. This game taught me the rules, concepts in society and much more. I learned what a real mafia is!     Excellent story, great characters, cool physics of cars. Well-conveyed atmosphere of 40-50s.amazing retro music. but the plot of the game is quite short and DLC are just disgusting 8/10 from me went through this game 2 times and got a lot of fun.

    I liked the sequel to original Mafia, maybe because when playing it I didn't know the original. But nevertheless it was a fun "GTA clone" in a interesting time period.

    Its a Crime that this piece of art has a 77 Rating, I Never Played a better Story in my whole life. Vitos Life is perfect for this game and there are so many different and extremely interesting parts of the story. This Game is WAY better then GTA 5 when you look at the story. I want to hit the dude who gave it a 70 Rating and plays Destiny or some other complete crapgames.

    1 puanı kırmanın Mafia 3'ün rezil çıkmasından, sonun belirsiz olmasından ve bazı yerlerde sanki nasıl desem ki oyun sanki tamamlanmadan apar topar çıkmış gibi. Çıkmış olan dlc'ler sanki oyunun bir parçasıymışta sonra bizden para kopartılmak için çıkmış. Bu kadar kötü neden saymama rağmen 9 puan alan bu oyuna bence bir bakın :)

    I finished the game for the forth time and I think it's still the best I've ever played. Story, on top of all is really great.
    Shortness of game is not a big deal if it keeps you interested after playing for several times. It never gets boring.
    i really wished to see more sequels to Vito Scaletta's story. Characters look so realistic and alive. And this is what a Mafia game needs.    I finished the game for the forth time and I think it's still the best I've ever played. Story, on top of all is really great.

    Очень нравится сюжетная линия и постановка диалогов.

That led to some internal disagreements and the departure of Daniel Vavra, the mastermind behind the original Mafia. And it shows. That led to some internal disagreements and the departure of Daniel Vavra, the mastermind behind the original Mafia. And it shows. The game was released somewhat hastily, with quite a lot of secondary content being cut. What remained is still very good, mind you. The story is interesting, the graphics is very nice for 2010 and it has aged well. Gameplay is very linear similar to the original Mafia. The story is set in a 1940s/50s West Coast city Empire Bay. Mafia II features about 30 well made historically accurate cars (with changed names) and about a hundred or so of songs, that will really take you back in time. That thick atmosphere, that is what Mafia games always excel at. The game also allows you to collect vintage Playboy magazines centerfolds (though mostly from 1960s), which will show you how beautiful and natural women used to be. My main problem with this game is its length, the game really skips from mission to mission without really giving you any excuse to go explore the city. This game was released pretty polished without major bugs, which cannot be said about its definite edition, but that does not belong here. There are some minor microtransactions present in the form of "cosmetic DLCs". No SJW in Mafia II.

    This game is very good, great in fact, but somehow I cannot get rid of the idea that it could have been even better if the studio was not sold to the highest bidder. Final Verdict: 92 %    … Expand

Первая половина игры просто волшебна, зимний Эмпаэр Бэй восхитителен, музыкальное сопровождение на высоте, физика машин отличная, да и стрелять довольно приятно. Кажется что игра будет 10/10. Но зима заканчивается, рождественская сказка уходит и ты понимаешь что мир хоть и открытый, но абсолютно голый. Все что тебе остается это течь по сюжету. Сейчас тоИгра вызывает противоричивые эмоции. Первая половина игры просто волшебна, зимний Эмпаэр Бэй восхитителен, музыкальное сопровождение на высоте, физика машин отличная, да и стрелять довольно приятно. Кажется что игра будет 10/10. Но зима заканчивается, рождественская сказка уходит и ты понимаешь что мир хоть и открытый, но абсолютно голый. Все что тебе остается это течь по сюжету. Сейчас то мы уже знаем что было вырезано много контента, и дополнения про джо и джимми, вероятно должны были быть в оригинале.
    Сюжет довольно интересный, хотя соглашусь что без главного твиста в конце он вероятно смотрелся бы сильно хуже.
    8/10, минус баллы за пустой открытый мир и довольно быстро проходимый сюжет.    … Expand

    The combination of the ancient control mechanics, odd pacing and lack of real world entertainment drag the game down and seriously decreased my enjoyment of Mafia II. Still, it's worth a playthrough if you just adore mafia games and have a solid PC build to take it on.

    I walked into my experience of Mafia II with no real expectations other than hearing my colleague's praise. What I walked away with after playing through the story was a sense of awe and amazement that I haven't had since Alan Wake.
