    10/10. One of the best story in the game world. Combat is ideally made in, which makes you not gonna get bored even if you playing this game 10th time. Finished this game probably 20-30 times in my childhood.

    Mafia 2 is an absolutely masterful sequel to Mafia 1. Again an absolutely great story, characters and scenario. Graphics, city and location are divine. Mafia 2 is also one of my favorite games of all time 10/10.

    Из минусов: - бег трясунчика, от которого вестибулярный аппарат может пойти нах*й, какой космонавт придумал решение добавить тряску всего экрана во время бега? ГудДжоп. - шансы нарваться на кривой скрипт, который не сработает из за чего придется переигрывать миссию с последнего чекпоинта, который мог быть 20, а то и 30    Мафиозное приключение Витали длинною в 12 часов на 'Высоком'.

    Из минусов:

    - боты достаточно тупые и тормозят геймплей, то прыгают под колеса, то бесстрашно идут перед игроком не на что не реагируя или реагируя когда ничего не происходит.

    Из плюсов:
    - великолепная атмосфера города, особенно зимний период геймплея.
    - колоритная музыка которую в кайф послушать разъезжая по городу + атмосфера.
    - даже в 2022 году графика достойно сохранилась, а местами можно получить кайф глазами.
    - прикольная система ближнего боя.
    - на высоком уровне сложности миссии могут задать челендж.
    - отличный криминально-драматичный сюжет полный событий и не без 'ВОТ ЭТО ПОВОРОТов'.

    8мь "сделок" из 10ти.

    DLC: Betrayal of Jimmy - расисткие разборки пожилого "Хитмана" на 5 - 6 часов при 'Высоком' уровне сложности.

    Достаточно посредственное и лениво сделанное DLC. Геймплейно полный оммаж на ГТА, гоняй по значкам на карте и выполняй миссии за бабки.
    Вроде играется и норм, но на каждый плюс найдется свой минус: 'Выполнять задания вроде и фаного, но всё однообразно', 'Миссии вроде и задают челендж, но достаточно душные', 'При задачах на угон вроде и в кайф погонять, но поездки достаточно тягучие еще и на время', 'Сносный выбор вооружения, но на всю карту один единственный годный оружейник до которого за*бешься ехать'.
    Само же DLC не несет никакой ценности для основной игры и сюжетно с ним не связано.

    6ть 'подстав' из 10ти.

    DLC: Jimmy’s Vendetta - мщение лысого на 4 часа при 'Высоком' уровне сложности.

    Разрабы слегка подзапарились и сделали `лучше, чем было`, шаблон тот же, но прохождение миссий стало интереснее и менее душным; добавлены новые тачки, а на некоторых из них даже в кайф погонять; а также была вписана новая локация для финального замеса.

    7мь 'мстей' из 10ти.

    DLC: Joe's Adventures - сюжетное дополнение к основной игре про `шестерку Джо` на 5 - 6 часов при 'Высоком' уровне сложности.

    Игра отлично стартует, а дальше шаблон из предыдущих ДЛС, более того будто бы сделано максимально за*бать игрока с последующим дропом: душные мисси; постоянная давка копами; баги, кривые скрипты; переигровки с километровыми заездами из раза в раз. Единственный достойный контент это сюжетные миссии проработанные на действительно годном уровне, но всё остальное это просто 4 часа духоты из 5ти.

Но зима заканчивается, рождественская сказка уходит и ты понимаешь что мир хоть и открытый, но абсолютно голый. Все что тебе остается это течь по сюжету. Сейчас тоИгра вызывает противоричивые эмоции.     Amazing game. The Story is a masterpiece packing great characters and antagonists. The city of Empire Bay is extremely detailed and is really fun to explore. The Soundtrack is outstanding has some really good songs from the 40s and 50s. Driving around Empire Bay listening to great music in snowy winter is quite fun.

    Mafia two is another matter of the heart for me. I love the characters, I love the story, I love the world, I love the music, the atmosphere. I understand the problems players have with it, eg gameplay, etc. I could criticize the game and write what's wrong with it, but I won't. Because I love it and it's the first game I've ever finished, so I can't do this to her. 10/10

    Крайне рекомендую данную игру для ознакомления. Сюжет на высшем уровне, играть стоит только из-за него и атмосферы. Геймплей обычен, но не надоедает.

    This games story is really incredible, it also has really good driving and voice acting. The only issue is the combat which is a bit arcadey and doesn't suit this type of story. The combat is also kind of clunky and not that satisfying, however the environmental destruction is great.

Геймплей игры нельзя назвать революционным или прорывным, но стоить отметить что он идеально вписывается в атмосферу и картину игры, стрельба слабое место, она не очень реалистичная и не всегда хочется лишний раз стреляться с полицией или мафией, но сказать что она плохая нельзя, вождение оставило только положительные эмоции чувствуется различие между видами транспортных средств, масса машины, её управление и мощность. После прохождения игры она оставляет много эмоций, её хочется перепроходить и вспоминать, можно сказать что проект мафия стал почитаемым и общепризнанным достоянием игровой индустрии, её цитируют и любят не только фанаты, но и обычные обыватели.… Expand

    Unsurpassed game! Since childhood, I love the theme of the mafia. This is one of the most atmospheric games I've played. Good gameplay and a very strong plot. And, of course, a very cool ending.

    The interface is wonderful. You have so much information immediately available to you. Google Maps always has a minimap in the lower left corner, which gives you a good overview of the area. Getting information about people gives you a clear, clear window. Hacking offers a menu with easily recognizable icons, so you always know what your button presses will do.

Plus, this is an interesting and very similar walkthrough to the movie, and the minus is that there is veryMafia II. I wanted money, cars, girls. An excellent continuation of the game series about serious guys in suits in every sense. In the second part, almost everything is fine - the music, the environment and the gameplay itself. Unfortunately, the plot has both pluses and minuses. Plus, this is an interesting and very similar walkthrough to the movie, and the minus is that there is very little of it. 3 Supplements are great too. The Jimmy add-ons are pure GTA in the Mafia world, while Joe's Adventures is a more interesting storyline.… Expand

    The second mafia is not one of many games that I would go through again, and maybe several times over again. This is such a detailed, interesting, exciting, tragic story about friendship, betrayal over the course of 10 years. Everything is perfect here: characters, city, weapons, cars, shooting, physics. In this game, I was hooked most of all because it was the city of Empire Bay in the early 1950s ... The atmosphere of rock and roll, roaring cars and the post-war period. While driving or walking around the city, you can meet various situations: as one random NPC sells hot dogs, and the second asks you to clean your shoes. In the first and second chapters, you can even talk and interact with various pedestrians on the streets. Many people complain about the open ending. Like - "What happened to Joe?" For this, the developers made it so that the players build their theories about this. For some reason I liked Mafia 2 more than Mafia 1. Yes, in the first mafia the plot is stronger, but here all the same, the atmosphere wins in my opinion. In technical terms, everything is clear here anyway, these games cannot be compared since they were released at different times.

    The only thing I didn't like and spoiled the aftertaste of the game a little was the DLC. Namely Joe`s Adventures. I decided to go through it in order to find out what Joe was doing all this time while Vito was behind bars. Yes, the first mission is exciting, there is both stealth and chases on ice, but then it just starts with water ... Endless tasks without cut-scenes, so also for a while. Hijack it, kill them, take that one and take it there and everything like that. Only missions with a super-market, a train with weapons and an end mission at a construction site dilute this water a little... I think it would be better to make a couple of chapters for Joe at least with some kind of plot, and not arcade missions for a while. DLC about Jimmy, I did not go through because I realized that the same thing awaited me. In general, I advise DLC only to those who simply have not played enough of the game for all the chapters and want to "continue", but for those who need more time, I advise you to go side by side.

    When Mafia 2 released I had a blast playing it. Although it suffers from cut content and caused Dan Vávra to left the company before finishing it, I still love to come back every few years and experience it again.

    The game's plot like is basically a mixture of the Godfather, and Goodfellas, you're a war hero, come back from the war and fall into a life of crime with your friend. The open world nature of this game is not the same as GTA, which to me is a good thing, there aren't a million half-assed mini-games to play.

    Visuals - 8/10 - (Very Good)
    Visually Mafia 2 sometimes can be stunning for a 10-year-old game, Vito's face model is great to this day and everything is really good looking from far away. As with many of the PS3/Xbox 360 era games the real issue lies in the more detailed textures, face textures, and some models often look ugly, but it can easily be overlooked. Mafia 2 holds up very well to this very day.

    Gameplay - 9/10 - (Great)
    The game is a soft sandbox, the city is open but there's not much you can do besides driving around, the city carries a lovely ambiance and is very well constructed, it always feels lively. Gunplay is amazing, you have to get used to some of the high recoils, but overall, really fun and engaging. My main criticism would be the driving, even though it makes the cars feel like antiques, in missions where driving is essential, it is a little annoying since most cars feel really heavy and slow.

    Story - 6/10 - (Fine)
    Many people say that Mafia 2's story is amazing, don't get me wrong, it is pretty good, but a little on the underdeveloped side, especially the ending. The real stars of the game are the characters, everyone you meet is important and interesting, there are hardly any forgettable characters, and interacting with each one of them is great.    … Expand

The game's own cast really is very engaging and fun, as Vito and Joe they friends and other enemies are very interested in the game even more. The level of the game itself is really great and different, in the game we experienced a lot of action and shooting and difficult moments that hurt. The level design itself is very well laid out on all the good sides the more it makes the game better and more interesting. The graphics and atmosphere are very engaging in my opinion I think they reproduced the whole city very well and the details make it look so great and interesting. All those machines, clothes, civilization, logic. The game itself looks so detailed for example: If you exceed the speed limit you get a fine to pay for bribing the cops. Everything in the game is so well laid out and the layout is very good.

    In my opinion, the game is definitely worth playing for anyone who has had no experience with such a game about the Mafia. What struck me most was the whole history of the game and the atmosphere is all as well laid out as from zero to the highest number. I would dedicate 10/10 to this game.    … Expand

    I liked the sequel to original Mafia, maybe because when playing it I didn't know the original. But nevertheless it was a fun "GTA clone" in a interesting time period.

    It has a few cons:
    - just the main missions - a lot of driving and shooting - no open world unless you download free ride dlc Also has pros: (duh..) - i loved the city and cars design - i loved the characters - cool story i thihk if they made this game with a little bigger map (mounmtains, countryside...) and    i wont say much, if you like open world games you should play that.

    With an amazing story and gameplay, this is one of the best games i've ever played. Also i think that mafia II is better than mafia I. Although it's been 11 years since the game was released, i totally recommend you to play. Graphics is allright, and anything else is completely fantastic.

    One of the best games I've ever played. An insane winter atmosphere, over 100 of great songs from 1920 to 1960, one of the most beautiful fictional cities ever, attention to details - it is a great sequel that transmits the legacy of Mafia: The City Of Lost Heaven.

    «Мафия» - это нереально стильный, потрясающе атмосферный, аномально затягивающий и фантастически проработанный гангстерский боевик. Играя в нее, ты не проходишь игру - ты идешь по сюжету, тебе показывают интересный и довольно долгий фильм, в котором ты сам принимаешь участие. От начала и до самых титров ты вживаешься в шкуру итальянского мафиози, полностью отождествляя себя с ним, а не«Мафия» - это нереально стильный, потрясающе атмосферный, аномально затягивающий и фантастически проработанный гангстерский боевик. Играя в нее, ты не проходишь игру - ты идешь по сюжету, тебе показывают интересный и довольно долгий фильм, в котором ты сам принимаешь участие. От начала и до самых титров ты вживаешься в шкуру итальянского мафиози, полностью отождествляя себя с ним, а не руля электронным болванчиком. И это приготовлено, сварено и подано реально круто, красиво и стильно.

    Плюсы:
    - режиссура диалогов и шуток. Юмор в игре, как правило, не пошлый, он... жизненный. Собственно, нечасто в играх и фильмах юмор способен существовать без шуток, самостоятельно, просто как часть общего уклада бытия. В «Мафии» это есть, и этим она покоряет.
    - список доступного оружия. Помимо ожидаемых «магнумов» и 1911 «кольтов» на пару с «томпсонами» добавилась еще и армейская экзотика, причем как союзническая, так и немецкая.
    - во второй части игры появился простенький, но приятный внешний и внутренний тюнинг. При взломе замков сия операция проходит уже не автоматически, а с подбором и расшатыванием пинов, такой себе «Сплинтер Селл» в миниатюре. Впрочем, ничто не мешает просто выбить стекло и угнать машину быстрее.
    - атмосфера. Здесь в действие включается абсолютно всё - кирпичные здания сороковых-пятидесятых годов, машины тех времен, джаз, степ и фокстрот на местных радиостанциях, люди... Графика в игре простовата, но при этом возникает интересный парадокс: она впечатляет. Много сильнее, чем буйство полигонов, блуров и прочего бампмаппинга во всяких там «Кризисах» и прочих «Фар Краях». Свет фар в тумане, размытая вечерней дымкой линия горизонта, припорошенный снегом тротуар и стоящие у дороги машины - всё это вписывается в атмосферу игры гораздо удачнее, чем все те навороты, на которые молятся создатели видеокарт.

    Минусы:
    - подавляющее большинство барышень похожи друг на друга, как патроны в магазине, да и всякие второстепенные мордовороты тоже не блещут разнообразием. Более того, одни лица очень хорошо проработаны - текстуры на уровне, полигонов много, детализация хорошая; а вот другие - просто пасынки природы - пластмассовые, угловатые и вообще похожие на опереточных кукол.
    - дальность прорисовки объектов. У этого замечательного и важного параметра здесь два недостатка - он по умолчанию очень мал (люди, машины, деревья появляются в полутораста метрах от игрока), и его нельзя менять.
    - спорно обстоит дело с оптимизацией. Игра классно оптимизирована... Ровно до 1951 года. Стоит нам дожить до второй половины XX века, как во время езды по улицам игра начинает с завидной периодичностью весьма конкретно подтормаживать.
    В общем, вторая часть хитовейшей игры прошлых лет однозначно удалась.    … Expand

    What really great from this game is the story, you follow Vito, a war veteran, who wants to be part of mafia himself, the game had good character development and if you like mafia series, you probaly like the stories. However, the story is somewhat short.
    The game is set in empire bay, but not a true open world because the game follows a linear path and if you want to explore the city, you gonna have to use the "free roam" mode, but the game doesn't really use the world full potential as all you do in free roam just finding some playboy magazines so the game had almost no replay value.
    But if you really like mafia story, this game is this give a really good story.    … Expand

    Pretty good game but it's kinda short, when you compere it to original game from 2002. There is now a defenitive edition, but if you played this game before I don't recomend buying it again to get some minor dlc that came with Mafia Definitive Trilogy.

The game was released somewhat hastily, with quite a lot of secondary content being cut. What remained is still very good, mind you. The story is interesting, the graphics is very nice for 2010 and it has aged well. Gameplay is very linear similar to the original Mafia. The story is set in a 1940s/50s West Coast city Empire Bay. Mafia II features about 30 well made historically accurate cars (with changed names) and about a hundred or so of songs, that will really take you back in time. That thick atmosphere, that is what Mafia games always excel at. The game also allows you to collect vintage Playboy magazines centerfolds (though mostly from 1960s), which will show you how beautiful and natural women used to be. My main problem with this game is its length, the game really skips from mission to mission without really giving you any excuse to go explore the city. This game was released pretty polished without major bugs, which cannot be said about its definite edition, but that does not belong here. There are some minor microtransactions present in the form of "cosmetic DLCs". No SJW in Mafia II.

    This game is very good, great in fact, but somehow I cannot get rid of the idea that it could have been even better if the studio was not sold to the highest bidder. Final Verdict: 92 %    … Expand

    1 puanı kırmanın Mafia 3'ün rezil çıkmasından, sonun belirsiz olmasından ve bazı yerlerde sanki nasıl desem ki oyun sanki tamamlanmadan apar topar çıkmış gibi. Çıkmış olan dlc'ler sanki oyunun bir parçasıymışta sonra bizden para kopartılmak için çıkmış. Bu kadar kötü neden saymama rağmen 9 puan alan bu oyuna bence bir bakın :)

The lack of free roam is an issue at the forefront, but with a story as well thought out and executed as this, it’s forgivable. The narrative was brilliant except some minor issues during certain sections. Mafia 1 did had a slightly better story but Mafia 2 has far more detailed environments. If you liked Mafia 1, mostMany are complaining about how linear the game was. For me, i felt glad that they took the linear route.     The game has an excellent story, in addition to the cars and great classic blues music of the 50s. Although there are no side missions, graphics are outdated and the direction of the vehicles is a little difficult, it is worth the purchase. It's like an interactive movie and a mix of GTA and LA Noire.

    The combination of the ancient control mechanics, odd pacing and lack of real world entertainment drag the game down and seriously decreased my enjoyment of Mafia II. Still, it's worth a playthrough if you just adore mafia games and have a solid PC build to take it on.
