    This game feels empty. Originally released in 2010, 2 years after GTA 4 despite having less features. The trains do not work. I can imagine a much better version of this game.

    This could have been Malcolm X: The Early Years: The Video Game. But instead its like Sopranos in the 50s. You gotta buy clothes every time the cops chase you.

    I think graphics is not changed at all, faces changed little bit, I played Mafia 2(not remastered) there were many bugs, but in Definitive edition bugs has fixed.
    Score for Definitive Edition is 3-5, but I have scored 6 points because of nostalgia and old feelings.

    As a remaster of Mafia II, this sucks, I'm only giving this a 7 because the story itself is damn good, the best play to play this game to this day is on PC with graphic mods.

    Remaster of the great game with little improvements and tons of bags.
    Pros:
    - Amazing atmosphere of the Epoque through the nice-looking city and great music - Interesting plot with many twists - Cool characters with their own story - Nostalgia Cons: - Empty open world. You don't have anything to do and the game doesn't motivate you to do this - missions go back to back. Also, you    Remaster of the great game with little improvements and tons of bags.

    - Empty open world. You don't have anything to do and the game doesn't motivate you to do this - missions go back to back. Also, you don't have a lot of options to spend money: some car upgrades, limited weapon selection, and some clothes
    - Poor gameplay. There is no challenge in shooting - you just hide, peek, and kill. All opponents are always in the same position
    - The graphics still look straight out of 2010

    Mafia 2 is my all time favorite game and that's why I have 10/10 on the original, however this remaster is nothing but a next-gen console port. There are no noticeable differences between the original and the remaster. I wouldn't recommend buying this on PC if you haven't received it for free for owning original.

    It is empty compared to the original. I can imagine a much better version of this game. The story and graphics are very good! It is worth it. (Expect a promotion)

    Even in the updated version, the cut content and improvements were not added) Everything is just copied into the new name and nothing more) But this game is better than Mafia 1 remake Definitive Edition

    Let me start by saying that the game itself is pretty good. It has aged pretty well and is still fun. Great story, great characters, great music, really good setting and atmosphere. The game has a lot of nice touches and attention to detail that a lot of other city-based open world games do not have. The shooting mechanics are decent however some of the guns feel very weak and inaccurateLet me start by saying that the game itself is pretty good. It has aged pretty well and is still fun. The shooting mechanics are decent however some of the guns feel very weak and inaccurate especially from longer range. The AI of course can snipe you with a Tommy gun from 100 yards away even when you're in cover but you couldn't hit a wall from 10 yards, it can definitely get frustrating but again not a deal breaker as most of the time it does work. However, this being advertised as the "definitive" edition is where the game fails. It is riddled with bugs and audio sync issues. Constant stuttering in and out of cutscenes. Frame drops are constant, lots of pop in, and the game crashes quite a bit. I'm playing on the regular PS4 but these issues have been reported on all platforms including PC. The graphics themselves do look better, and the lighting is improved over the original but again the performance issues are absolutely noticeable and do interfere with game play especiallythe driving. I'm not going to lie I have still been having fun with this game as its not entirely unplayable but if you're sensitive to the performance issues you will hate it. There is no way to defend this game, this "remaster" is an absolute slap in the face to fans and the fact they're charging money for a game that performs worse than the original is unacceptable. Hopefully a patch will be released to fix these issues but as of yet I haven't heard a word from 2K of course, they're more concerned with selling their inferior product. Game itself is solid, the performance however, is terrible and I cannot recommend this game whole heartedly as I would like to because of performance. Either wait for a sale, or until the issues are fixed. ✌… Expand

    Mafia 2 is a great game with an awesome story, unfortunately Mafia 2 definitive edition doesn't do anything except make it a less enjoyable experience, with an absolutely absurd amount of bugs and glitches. This is not the definitive way to experience Mafia 2.

    Es difícil valorarlo debido a que simplemente es una adaptación del original en HD. Contando con una gran historia y unos personajes excelentes es un buen juego. Pero no hay que olvidar que las mecánicas y jugabilidad están desfasadas pero en este caso lo valoro como una adaptación y mi puntuación es de 6.

    Mafia II: Definitivní edice je velmi povedený remaster, i když neopravuje žádné chyby nepřináší ani nic navíc do příběhu, i tak krásně osvěžuje svou vylepšenou grafikou starou dobrou Mafii 2. Svět je nyní detailnější, působí větší a propracovanější + je parádně prosvícený. Rázem si všimnete mnohem více detailů okolí i charakterů což velmi obohatí váš zážitek ze hry, zvlášť pro lidi co užMafia II: Definitivní edice je velmi povedený remaster, i když neopravuje žádné chyby nepřináší ani nic navíc do příběhu, i tak krásně osvěžuje svou vylepšenou grafikou starou dobrou Mafii 2. Svět je nyní detailnější, působí větší a propracovanější + je parádně prosvícený. Rázem si všimnete mnohem více detailů okolí i charakterů což velmi obohatí váš zážitek ze hry, zvlášť pro lidi co už to projeli několikrát. Také navíc přibylo pár partiklů a například lepší textury sněhu. Story nebyl nijak upraven a v této edici navíc dostanete veškeré DLC, takže kdo hru nemá určitě doporučuji do sbírky. Mafia 2 je perfektní příběhová akce.
    Některé bugy a gliče ve hře stále zůstali, ale s tím se dalo počítat, hra se pouze graficky vylepšovala, neopravovala, stále je i tak na svou dobu dost inovativní a patří do toho lepšího soudku série. Furt zde ale pociťujete pocit že z předchozího dílu si jenom vzala ale nic nového nepřináší, tedy zlatá jednička, ale stále doporučuji i tento kousek.    … Expand

    the best part of the trilogy, interesting story, characters. I haven't played the classic version of the game, so I can't judge the quality of the remake, the graphics are certainly far from the best, but still it was more or less pleasant to play. The main thing is history!

    Overrated as hell. Very cliche (which is not a problem by itself) but the cliche was not done that good. The fact that everyone around me kept saying that would be one freaking good game didn't help it neither, and I ended up very disapointed. Probably will never play it again unless if I decide to make a video for YouTube or something like that.

    In general the main game is not bad, not as immersive as first game but it's also entertaining. Game just got a little old and remaster is not enough for it.

    Игра просто прекрасна. Физика - шедевр, мне очень понравилось в отличии от первой мафии. Очень интересная история, которая даже в один момент смогла с меня выбить капельку слезы.. В момент убийства Генри. Очень жестокая картина, на самом деле и реплики Джо после убийства практически полностью олицетворяли мои эмоции.. Порой персонажи какие-то безэмоциональные и скучные, но это сугубо моеИгра просто прекрасна. Физика - шедевр, мне очень понравилось в отличии от первой мафии.     Not very impressive graphics and rather janky animations both during cutscenes and during gameplay, you don’t feel as much a part of the story as in Mafia 1 but the game is still pretty good at telling a story

    This game does not look very good from the point of view of the remaster. In places, it breaks the picture, which is why it is impossible to pass it. But thank you that they did not change the plot and gameplay

    Oyunun hikaye ve gameplay kısmında hiçbir sıkıntısı yok taş gibi ancak madem bir modernleşme işine giriyorsunuz Mafia 1'e yaptığınız gibi bunda da boş araba kısımlarını geçme şansı sunmanız gerekirdi. Bunun üstüne tonlarca görüntü bugu, oyunun en etkileyici yanlarından biri olan atmosferin içinden geçiyor.

    Esta claro que no tiene una historia muy larga, pero la historia a mi me pareció buena, especialmente tiene un final muy fuerte. La jugabilidad igual que el 1 no me agradó, los gráficos también pudieron ser mejorables. No es tan buen juego como el anterior, sin embargo, tampoco lo consideraría malo.

    The new version of Mafia 2 is more polished, cleaner and more detailed than ever before, but the problems with the plot, mission development, character development, driving and gunplay are still present. Ultimately, players who still own the original (now dubbed "classic") version of the game on Steam, had better stick to it.

    There are other modern updates, I’m sure. It runs fine on my PC, and though I have seen reports of bugs and glitches, I didn’t encounter anything egregious. But there’s still a question of why. Why remake these games? Why put a fresh coat of paint on this weird little action shooter that is not so fondly remembered? I’m sure there are compelling business reasons, but nothing that makes sense to me as a gamer. Mafia II is an imperfect fix to a game that was already pretty flawed. Now it’s just as flawed, but in a way that can be appreciated by modern audiences.

    Mafia 2: Definitive Edition is a decent buy for anyone that hasn't played the original (on PC, anyway). It's a more complete package with superior graphics, but there are definitely aspects of the game that haven't aged well.
