    Same game as the past 10 years. Better nfl games on the ps2. Try NFL2k8 or an older madden before madden 2013. The game is way better then.

    Again EA haven’t ported the new features to PC which is absolutely disgraceful. Game is just a re hash. Shame on EA. Save your money and don’t support this trash.

    It's a $60 roster update. For no reason at all, PC does NOT get the next gen update, once again. The animations are still bad. Franchise mode is still terrible. "A step in the right direction" means nothing when you are at the bottom. It is a shame what EA has done to the name of the great John Madden. Same trash as last year.     Madden 23 is an improvement from Madden 22, as a green Apple is an improvement from a red one. If your a franchise person like I am you will still loose your franchise to corrupted files due to a poorly designed game. It has improved, instead of a F it now has a D grade. you still have tons of bugs, lack of options that mind you are in other EA games, like compensatory picks (NHL) andMadden 23 is an improvement from Madden 22, as a green Apple is an improvement from a red one.     Nothing positive to say at all.
    Madden was allways terrible at launch but this one is the worst.
    gamebreaking bugs and all you hear is silence from ea.
    I bought this game just for FOTF and cant even sign a contract after one year...
    Waste of money imo.

    It's a shame EA has thrown away all of the goodwill it received from porting Madden 19 for PC by essentially rehashing the same game for 20, 21, and now 22. I guess it's still better than nothing, but there isn't much reason to upgrade (besides roster update) if you have a previous game.

This excuse of a sports game is so shameless in its copy + paste nature, it still has the Super Bowl XLII promo in MetLife Stadium in the game. Super Bowl XLII happened in 2017, so this goof has been in every single Madden game since then.     I normally get this game at the end of the season since I really not trying to pay $60 for it and I'm glad I didn't. Game looks like they took the art style from NFL Blitz, none of the upgrades as usual for PC players even though they said their will be this year....aka never hold your breath with EA and Madden.     Pathetic that this continues to be allowed year after year by EA Sports. This game franchise has completely crashed. How do we not have next-gen features on PC? How does this game look identical to Madden 19? @NFL PLEASE TAKE AWAY THE EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS TO AN NFL SIMULATION VIDEO GAME FROM EA SPORTS.

    No real noticeable improvement over last year. MUT is a mess with missing rewards and nerfing modes for solo/single players. Being forced to play online against humans is not what many signed up for. I'm still missing rewards for passes and daily challenges. EA makes it tougher for F2P each year and its frustrating.

The one and ONLY good thing it has going for it is graphics, the game looks very nice. However, franchise still freezes and corrupts your saved files which makes you loose all of your franchise after 5-6 seasons and while in game crashes frequently. If you want NO DEPTH what soThis game is truly a BORING and LAZY made game from a company that is only concerned with one thing, MONEY!!! The one and ONLY good thing it has going for it is graphics, the game looks very nice. If you want NO DEPTH what so ever you can play exhibition mode where the only thing you have to worry about it constant bugs such as the ball bouncing out of hands and animations glitching the ball back into the hands. The gameplay is still horrible, I will admit I've had a little more fun on it then I have over the last 5 or so years, but still not good. Servers still kick you off all the time for no reason.     Madden will never get close to what it was in the 2000's under current day EA. Animations and random chance influence the game most when actual physics provide realistic gameplay, QB's cannot handle the ball unless you want to fumble 99% of the time, the defense you play against will always be cracked and make unrealistic interceptions, and playing defense is not fun at all because the AIMadden will never get close to what it was in the 2000's under current day EA.     Madden '23 for PC is a carbon copy of every Madden PC game since it was offered to PC gamers. If you have a copy of Madden '22, my advice would be to do a Google search (or search engine of choice) for SabosMods and patch them in to your Madden '22 game. The instructions are very straight forward and easy to understand.     It's weird how all communication from and with EA ends with a promise to "investigate and update as information becomes available", followed by eternal silence.

    Compiling a list of complaints would be exhausting, but my favorites so far are:

    1. The game not allowing you to accept a penalty, if the penalty would result in an interception you threw being negated. 2. Defenders phasing through my receivers to obtain an interception. 3.     6. And last but not least, character creation/coach creation. It's awesome how pretty much every face option makes you look like a date rapist. Couldn't give people full customization? Really?

    I'll save my money next year, unless EA gets their head out of their rectum. This was my first time playing Madden in 18 years, and I cannot get over the fact that the game is somehow worse.    … Expand

    There is no reason for this game to exist as a title update. This package is merely a content update. I suggest EA decouple franchise modes from Ultimate Team and support the products as different entities. This way EA could keep their cash cow MUT for the degenerate gamblers and simultaneously satisfy "Sim" football players.

    That said, for people playing in the Franchise mode predominantly, there is nothing in this game that constitutes a title update, particularly on PC.

    EA refusing to port over the "Next Gen" features to machines empirically more powerful defies logic.

    I've boycotted this game for several years and that will continue until EA shows they are committed to using their license to make a quality product.

    At this point the game requires a total overhaul. Going back to retooling the engine and getting the game off Frostbite.

    The reliance on animation vs physics based outcomes make this game not even a sim.    … Expand

    well another year another **** game. too buggy and then seasons getting ejected like passing a basketball and throwing it out of bounds on purpose because ea goes out of bounds every year.
    the new interface is the only green card I can give the red is just a lot.

    i played the trial and got bored in other words the game is boring.
    the game connecting superstar and franchise mode was the biggest mistake
    ea fails to listen to its consumers every year because franchise mode keeps freezing
    pro bowl is unplayable unless you finagle your way through it unlike past maddens where the probowl is part of the game and your career you get involved in the game. it's clear ea should stick to NHL than madden and I hope the NFL drop ea because they've failed.
    no minicamp or training camp at all you're dropped into the NFL without any form of preparation.

    I believe Madden 23 is a very good step forward but there's more room for improvement. While I like the new features for Franchise and Gameplay, but I feel bitter that X-Factors returned.

    Very fun. Would buy 12 times if I really wanted to. Only downside would probably be the removal of the high school through retirement or all EA games being pay to win. Overall, pretty good. Btw **** them ‘boys

    This is absolutely unacceptable. Using a 12 gen Intel cpu and a AMD rx6600 and it stutters and is unplayable even in the menus. I can't just play franchise and sim all the games because of the menu stutter. It is literally unplayable either way. This game getting a 68 from the critics is insane. How do you get a score that high by re-releasing a broken piece of bloatware every year?

    Madden NFL 22 is like a roller coaster”. That’s what I wrote last year in my review. 365 days after, I must repeat myself, going from NFL 22 to 23. Madden NFL 23 is a game that can be compared to a roller coaster. You go up with FieldSENSE, you go down with a problematic AI. You go up with new features in almost all game modes, you go down after experiencing bugs and glitches. There are steps forward made since the last videogame, and the direction taken by the developers is the right one, but there is still work to do to reach levels of excellence.

    Madden NFL 23 is as usual greedy in number of game modes, faithful to the level of modeling and the show offered, but is still slowed down on certain points. The American football simulation is still not translated, decided this year to offer a career mode without a scenario, and is unfortunately not spared from certain visual bugs. EA Tiburon will still be able to rely on the small changes made to its gameplay with Fieldsense technology for the next games, full of potential.
