    Totally worth the €12 I paid for it on Steam. It kinda reminds me of playing Arkham Horror board game, mixed with Magic.

    Immaculate design, tight balance and gorgeous art, sound, and music make Loop Hero a no-brainer for the price. Rogue-lite gameplay cycles between building your town and auto-battling on a closed loop road that you play cards onto, to add buildings and such, which increases the complexity and brings more enemies into the fold at your own pace and to your own taste. I won't say anythingImmaculate design, tight balance and gorgeous art, sound, and music make Loop Hero a no-brainer for the price. Rogue-lite gameplay cycles between building your town and auto-battling on a closed loop road that you play cards onto, to add buildings and such, which increases the complexity and brings more enemies into the fold at your own pace and to your own taste. I won't say anything about the story since it's fun to discover, but it's solid and plays out at a pleasant pace, with an ethereal fantasy theme.     I now am 15 hours into the game and I‘m loving every single moment of it. For 15$ you get an addictive game that keeps evolving and surprising with its hidden mechanics. The artstyle is reminiscent of the past and the music is good at keeping you engaged. While difficult at times it’s also an unexpectedly relaxing experience with lots and lots of content. I would rate the game a 9.5/10,I now am 15 hours into the game and I‘m loving every single moment of it. For 15$ you get an addictive game that keeps evolving and surprising with its hidden mechanics. The artstyle is reminiscent of the past and the music is good at keeping you engaged.     A great example of brilliant realization of an idea.
    If you don't try it, you will surely miss numerous hours of gaming.
    You need to build the world from the ashes, and you either fail, succeed or need to grab your self out of it before night ends.
    The worst positive aspect of the game is it's too addictive because of the gameplay. Nice art and music too. Everything is fine with this game.

    Loop Hero is easily a masterpiece, and not only one of the best RPGs out there, it's also one of the best games. It's very fun and has a lot of great gameplay mechanics like building twons. Easily a must recommend game.

    The problem, however, is that its length was artificially prolonged by locking progression behind grind. For the first several hours, that didn’t really bother me as I was enjoying my time with the grind. But Loop Hero is actually a much more simplistic game than it first appears to be. There are not many synergies among the tiles and it doesn’t take long to figure out the optimal way to play. A few hours after Act 3, I’ve just got really bored with the grind and decided to grind through the rest of the game was not worth my time.

    I still applaud Loop Hero for the visuals and innovative gameplay. I have the feeling that a sequel would be great, if it preserves what is good about Loop Hero but improves upon things that don’t work well (meaningless grind, lack of clever synergies…).    … Expand

    The game is very simple at first glance - we walk in a loop, collect equipment, fight automatic battles. However, each opportunity to develop a settlement / camp allows you to discover new mechanics, including cards with which we "rebuild" the destroyed world.     The game is very simple at first glance - we walk in a loop, collect equipment, fight automatic battles. However, each opportunity to develop a settlement / camp allows you to discover new mechanics, including cards with which we "rebuild" the destroyed world. And here are some nice surprises as the game offers many hidden synergies between them. Putting many rocks and mountains next to each other creates a Great Mountain, the Vampire Manor turns Villages into ghouls' spawns, which can become Towns after a while, if we survive some loops, etc.
    It could be cheaper, but it seems to offer enough entertainment (and that is before I unlocked the second character class) to pay off in getting it during the promotion. A big surprise at the beginning of March, definitely positive.    … Expand

    Very original, nice atmosphere. Gives you plenty of choice. Challenging and balanced, has depth and replayability. I think it has a high potential and really happy to have discovered Loop Hero.

    Un juego que realmente sabe explotar sus mecanicas, con una narrativa que se puede ir desenterrando junto al progreso del juego, lamentablemente no se salva de volverse repetitivo tras unas 30 horas, en las cuales aun no logre vencer al 3er jefe. El diseño de los personajes y las cartas en general es muy bueno.     Шикарная игра , очень затягивает . Игра конечно не на 10 баллов , но я хочу поддержать разрабов. У игры есть проблемы , например сюжет . Но геймплей спасает ситуацию.

    Amazing. Entirely unique, utterly addicting, deceptively simple. This game is a near masterpiece. If it weren't for the garbage dialogue/storytelling, I would say that it's a perfect game. But don't let that deter you. The story is hardly the focal point here. Which is why it still gets a solid 10 from me.

    Addicting rogue-like RPG with town building / skill leveling. Keeps you coming back for more. I'm only docking 1 point because unlike what others say, i'm not a fan of the art direction. I do enjoy a good pixel art (looking at you stardew) this one has something missing for me, maybe i am too young to appreciate the ultra-retro art style, but overall its still a solid game! PLEASE BRINGAddicting rogue-like RPG with town building / skill leveling. Keeps you coming back for more. I'm only docking 1 point because unlike what others say, i'm not a fan of the art direction.     First of all, the game wants to be unique and addictive, and yeah it's very good at it. The game always give you something like cards,equipments and some upgrades.Above all, cards is very important thing in the game. Every card is increase your winning chance the loop. Its very important where you place them, as well. If you placed stone cards adjacent, then you earn more 5 health. As you play the game, you learn which cards placed where. If i explain the feautures of the cards, this video wont end and you cant enjoy from the game. In this game learning and discovering new things basis of enjoying. There is lot of cards. You can decrease enemy's health,renew your health, increase your strengeth and so on so on...

    Golden cards are most important cards in the game. The first thing you should open is smelter and intel center. Smelter giving you golden card with name arsenal, and intel center giving you feature that let you to use golden cards. Arsenal card open addition place in your envanter. In necromanger you can wear shield, in the warrior you can wear helment. And wearing these things, increasing your chance to win.

    Good equipments are dependent on luck. If you find hight equipment than your loop level, you can feel lucky; but if you find opposite, you can curse to your luck.Because there is items with features, you can make your item combosition in the game. If you have luck, you can try interesting combosition.

    There is three class in the game. Warrior,Rogue and Necromanger; of which the most i enjoyed was Necromanger. Because it can be really powerful with skeletons in its side. Its important to item building in every class. As i play Necromanger, i considered blance with summon quality and skeleton level. If you balance them with your luck very well, your chance to win the loop can be really high. Whichever character you take, doesnt matter; just do flawless balance.

    The building is very important as much as balancing. You can multiply your card deck, by building structure. You can make furniture to locals and thanks to this you can earn new features.

    Tiles are can be very powerful in the loop. The most powerful and handy tiles are villages. Because everytime you past the village, both you renew your health and take quest. In these quest you just killing enemies with upgraded health. If you kill quest's enemy, then you rewarded with high items.

    Loop Hero's story is very loosely pinned to game, being that you are the hero trying to defeat the Time Licht before he is able completely destroy all of reality.     Loop Hero's story is very loosely pinned to game, being that you are the hero trying to defeat the Time Licht before he is able completely destroy all of reality. Not anything special or unique but thematically prefect for based around time and loops.

    Game play is where Loop Hero really shines! Being a rogue lite, it uses procedurally generated map layouts which vary per run and allows you to build a dungeon based on tiles you earn from defeating enemies. Having a variety of tiles on the board yields more rewards but also incurs danger for the hero as more dangerous enemies spawn in higher quantities you are required to swap out your hero gear (Also earned by killing enemies) to create specific stat blocks and keeping you hero alive for as long as possible. If you die you lose resource, but if you choose to end the run before you die you walk away with all of them and can bring them back to your camp and use them for upgrades. These include new hero classes, passive resource generation etc.

    Overall Loop Hero is a very interesting experience and probably a game that not for everyone. For those who are interested though it is a highly rewarding experience with fun and engaging gameplay which can be played passively or actively depending on what your doing at the moment.

    Overall a decent game, but it could use some variety. The game can get quite repetitive after playing it for 5-8 hours. But if you don`t care about repetitiveness and enjoy these types of games, then go for it.

    Una jugabilidad soberbia embutida en una estética retro que agradará sobremanera a los boomers. El ejemplo perfecto de que un juego no necesita los gráficos más novedosos para ser grande. Ideal para equipos portátiles o con configuraciones humildes.

    Loop Hero es increíble. No entiendo como ha llegado a engancharme tanto, aun frustrándome a veces. Es un rogue-lite muy distinto a lo habitual, por lo que da para hablar mucho y muy bien del juego. Tras 23 horas de juego, creo que ya puedo formar una opinión del juego extensa. Empecemos.     Loop Hero es increíble. No entiendo como ha llegado a engancharme tanto, aun frustrándome a veces. Es un rogue-lite muy distinto a lo habitual, por lo que da para hablar mucho y muy bien del juego. Tras 23 horas de juego, creo que ya puedo formar una opinión del juego extensa. Empecemos.

    Loop Hero nos propone runs en las que el personaje se mueve y combate solo mientras va por un mapa dando vueltas, ¿qué haces tú? te estarás preguntando. Nosotros nos encargaremos de ir llenando el mapa con cartas que nos dan los enemigos. Estas van desde lugares donde salen enemigos (que se ponen en el propio mapa) hasta cartas que se ponen en las afueras que generan efectos en el propio mapa. La variedad del juego es descomunal. Cada run es completamente distinta a la anterior y las posibilidades son infinitas. Pero con lo que te he dicho, sería tan fácil como no poner cartas. Pues NO. Porque el juego te obliga a ponerlas. En cada run (hay 4 tipos de expedición) hay un boss, y para llegar a él, tienes que poner cartas. Los bosses se pueden hacer un poco difíciles, pero vencerlos da una satisfacción que pocos bosses me han dado.

    El campamento me parece muy interesante. Básicamente, es el hub principal que lo camuflan con lore y en el que consigues todo lo que necesitas para las runs. Los edificios que hay son muchísimos y algunos requieren de un grindeo muy loco, pero alcanzable sin sacrificar tu vida. Además, los NPCs que hay por ahí son bastante carismáticos y los diálogos se sienten muy únicos. Con algunos edificios se desbloquean las distintas clases que son 3: guerrero (la primera de todas), pícaro y nigromante. Esto añade un componente de estrategia, porque (sumado a las cartas doradas, que dan distintos efectos a la run), puedes crear tus propias tácticas para cada tipo de expedición en concreto, porque hay veces en las que te viene mejor una clase que otra o una carta dorada que otra.

    Audiovisualmente, está bastante bien. El juego, aun siendo pixel art, es bastante bonito sobre todo en el diseño de personajes y enemigos y cuenta con una paleta de colores oscura en la mayoría. Sí que la OST no me ha terminado de llegar, pero está lejos de ser mala.

    Narrativamente, es bueno, sobre todo en cómo consigues información. Puedes conseguir información construyendo edificios o (la mejor) derrotando jefes, que te darán información sobre el bucle al que está sometido el mundo.

    Resumiendo, Loop Hero ha sido una gran sorpresa y me ha encantado. A poco que te guste el género de los rogue-lites, deberías jugarlo y ver la premisa tan curiosa y buena que ofrece. Recomendadísimo    … Expand

Es más complejo de lo que parece, ya que no es solo la suerte lo que te da la victoria, sino también tu estrategia a la hora de armar tu mazo, el timing al momento de poner las estructuras y las combinaciones y sinergias entre ellas. Su estilo artístico es retro y bonito y la banda sonora, aunque podría considerarse "simple" HITSLoop hero es un juego tremendamente divertido y adictivo. Es más complejo de lo que parece, ya que no es solo la suerte lo que te da la victoria, sino también tu estrategia a la hora de armar tu mazo, el timing al momento de poner las estructuras y las combinaciones y sinergias entre ellas. Su estilo artístico es retro y bonito y la banda sonora, aunque podría considerarse "simple" HITS F***ING HARD.
    Entre los puntos negativos podría decir que estaría interesante que hubieran más clases, ya que creo que había más juego con el equipo, habiendo algunos huecos de equipo que no se utilizan en absoluto (y que esperaba poder encontrar en otras clases, eso me decepcionó un poco). También es verdad que quizá el grindeo podría ser menos, sobre todo al inicio porque en late game es muy fácil farmear recursos. Además, si bien la banda sonora puede llegar a ser muy buena en algunos temas (La aparición del Liche es increíble), algunos se pueden sentir un poco repetitivos o parecidos entre ellos.
    El juego es muy recomendable si quieres un juego tranqui que te recompense por experimentar y estudiar sus mecánicas y tienes una tolerancia media a la frustración. Tómenlo con calma.
    Ahora que lo completé al 100% voy a extrañar mucho el juego, ya que era muy bueno para relajarme y dar unas vueltas en mis tiempos de descanso, pero hay otros juegos que me requieren.    … Expand

    It looks like a simple little game, but give it some time, acquire more cards and it will surprise you with its unfolding complexity and addictiveness. Admittedly, initial loops are boring, but ultimately I spent hours on end with Loop Hero and had tons of fun. [05/2021, p.38]
