JIMF.Sep 7, 2003Good game, very much like Arcanum and Fallout, good game for fans of Icewind, neverwinters and Divine Divinity.

Sep 30, 2013Some of the reviewers here must be kidding: Terrible balance (melee classes are way OP, Spell casters are useless), no quick travel and some very strange quests. This game is many things: A bad Diablo, a bad Baldurs Gate and a bad Neverwinter Nights.

ChuckF.Aug 16, 2003Good hack and slash RPG. Modified Fallout rules make for interesting character development. Good story line. Interface is Ok. Graphics pretty good, with nice combat annimation. No crashes. Some odd World map quest problem. NPC suppose to mark map but it doesn't showup. Not sure if its a bug or not.

Jul 2, 2020Never understood why the Reviewers dumped on this one, typical "its different so we dont like it" attitude of reviewers of the time. Even though its on par with the Diablo games of the time ,but its not Baldurs gate. So glad Games Media dont have the power over sales they had back when this games came out, cause this game is a gem , many will miss out on.

Dec 11, 2017Sadly, second act of the Lionheart completely ruins whole experience: what was Fallout in medieval fantasy setting becomes bad version of Diablo with tons of mindless enemies that you have to kill.

Jun 27, 2023Best game I have ever played. End game can be repetitive but the characters and quests till the mid point are amazing. Especially the time setting and dialogues for each NPC is so good. Melee is op than other classes but you can finish the game with any class.

The problem of deciding what kind of game it really wants to be, RPG or Diablo clone, is probably the most serious problem its got.
-
Is it a deep role-playing game with a plot-twisting storyline ... or is it a Diablo hack-and-slash clone? Ultimately, it tries to be both, but doesn't succeed at being either.

An excellent game for about 20 hours, with open-ended gameplay, a good balance between combat and quests, and an opportunity for real role-playing. But then the next 20 hours feature a long linear march of boring, repetitive and slow combat, culminating in one of the worst endings I've ever seen.
