    Very interesting indie game, with a pretty nice gameplay and story to it. It was probably one of the first indie games that I liked so much.

    Um jogo simpista que te joga na pele de um garoto sem demais explicações. A atmosfeta surpreende, os controles são responsivos e os puzzles são divertidos de se fazer.

    A great story to be interpreted. The dark and silent ambiance is just terrific. Puzzles requires some reflection. Music is gorgeous. The environment is highly stylish, and there are numerous moments where you can feel how small and sickly the character is. Boss fights are epic. Lighting is terrific.
    If the game definitely is quite short, the eggs to collect and the achievements to get    A great story to be interpreted. The dark and silent ambiance is just terrific. Puzzles requires some reflection. Music is gorgeous. The environment is highly stylish, and there are numerous moments where you can feel how small and sickly the character is. Boss fights are epic. Lighting is terrific.
    If the game definitely is quite short, the eggs to collect and the achievements to get manage to make it last a bit longer.
    You certainly should be okay to die a lot to understand all the traps of this game. In a sense it may seems like a die & retry kind of game.
    I am very aware that 'Limbo' has something of really empty and hollow. Nevertheless I can't deny that I have been stuck in its universe and atmosphere all throughout. Must test.    … Expand

    Really unique and awesome puzzle platformer game, I prefer INSIDE but LIMBO is amazing as well.

    Incredible atmosphere and sound effects. Some puzzles are cool, some are somewhat cheaty-ish. I would give it a better rating if it were a bit longer and had some more variety.

    Very simple, black and white. Yet it delivers a very good atmosphere! The puzzles are sometimes challenging.
    Theories about its ending is even more exciting than game itself.
    I really enjoyed playing this game!

    I found the atmosphere to be **** wild as **** and same goes to the traps that you have to deal with, and as the 2-3 hour game continues, the puzzles get more creative which made it never boring. I guess the only downsides I had was how little spider **** was in the game, and that the stoty wasn't really there as much as I personally wanted.     Когда увидел игру впервые, даже не понял. "Кто в это будет играть?" - подумал я. Установил её на свой комп. Поиграл минут 20, не зашло. Удалил.
    Позже у меня появился XBox 360, ну взял Limbo за какие то копейки, подумал, что на геймпаде в неё будет удобней играть (не    Limbo. Странная игра. Я не знал, на какой платформе про неё оставить отзыв. Решил, на которой впервые попробовал, это PC.
    Когда увидел игру впервые, даже не понял. "Кто в это будет играть?" - подумал я. Установил её на свой комп. Поиграл минут 20, не зашло. Удалил.
    Позже у меня появился XBox 360, ну взял Limbo за какие то копейки, подумал, что на геймпаде в неё будет удобней играть (не могут же люди, плохой игре, такие высокие оценки ставить?), поиграл минут 20 и.....забросил. Не пошла окончательно.
    Я забыл про игру.
    Но, как то узнал, что её портировали на андроид. Сидя на работе, во время перерыва, от нечего делать, установил, запустил, и очнулся, только когда меня мастер по всему цеху искать начал! Перерыв закончился, час назад!
    Это мистика какая то! Как игра, которая вызывала отторжение на "большом" экране, оказалась на столько великолепной на экране в 6" и, как говорят, "корявым" экранным управлением? Чудо!
    И вдруг я понял. В этом то всё и дело. Игра, я так думаю, изначально планировалась для портативной платформы (может для PSP, так как смартфоны, времени выхода игры, её вряд ли потянули, хотя iPhone или iPad......????? кто знает), а её, зачем то, выпустили на "полном метре"!
    Схожее ощущение было у меня относительно LittleBigPlanet, вторую часть которой, я прошел на PSP, и она мне очень понравилась. Когда же купил LittleBigPlanet 3 на PS3, то не смог в неё играть, до того она мне показалась кривой, не красивой и неинтересной! К сожалению, у меня нет PSVita, что бы там её попробовать.
    Всё дело в платформе!
    Некоторые игры просто созданы для определённой платформы. И на мой взгляд, Limbo одна из них!    … Expand

    The silence and darkness of LIMBO are perfect for making its story haunting and ambiguous. Unfortunately, the silence means there's little to tell you how the mechanics work and the darkness means there's little to tell you what the pieces are, making the puzzles' solutions ambiguous too.

Puzzles are quite easy but since mistakes often means death and restart, that's a good thing, to avoid them into become annoying. Checkpoints are well and often placed. It somehow reminded me of "Out Of This World" wich is a game I loved. Game sound is also amazing, focused on details andSimple and brilliant. The result of game + art.     Очень крутая Dark Fantasy игра головоломка. Я вообще не очень люблю жанр таких игр, да и инди игры это не про меня вообще, но когда находится что то такое, это прям круто, от музыкального сопровождения до самой истории. Есть мультик "Поту сторону изгороди" вот эта игра мне дает вайбы с этого мультика.     Minimalistic Graphics combined with minimalistic controls, but the end-product is fascinating. Dark and melancholic atmosphere combined with a 2-D-Boy as main-character who solves puzzles and doesnt try to die a cruelsome death. The game is absolutely worth (literally) every cent and it should cost way more then it does. Grab it now! Shoutout Dave for gifting this to me!

    I don't think I've ever played a game that was so incredibly overrated.
    The visuals are great. The art design really resonated with me and the idea of a non-verbal game is also something I can get behind.

    Maybe I'm just not in the right headspace right now, but I'm not sure if a single minute was actually fun. Sure, the visuals and atmosphere are appealing. But that's about it.

    Puzzles were either boring or frustrating and none were particularly hard (maybe 3 that I actually enjoyed). The controls also really held it back. I played with a gamepad and they actually managed to f up two-button-controls*. I also really despise timing-based puzzles, of which this game has A LOT.
    The biggest problem about the puzzles was that I could often clearly see the solution but was unable to solve it despite that (usually because of the timing-based nature), which is the most frustrating thing ever. They also kinda went the "Dark Souls-route", where you "have" to die multiple times to figure something out. Generally a fun idea, but here it just didn't fit at all. The movement is way too slow for that and the puzzles weren't challenging enough to bring satisfaction upon completion.

    Also, this game has little to no story. People might tell you that it's just very subtle (which is true) and that there is a lot of depth to it (I don't think so). Sure, some intriguing things happened here and there but nothing was ever really "explained" (not even visually) and it felt very unfulfilling overall. I'll try to read up on it and find out more but this is about the game itself and not its supporting literature

    Lo disfruté mucho. No tendrá unos gráficos espectaculares, como le achaca mucha gente, pero tampoco es la intención del desarrollador. En Limbo, TODO, los gráficos, la música, los sonidos... Todo está pensado para transmitir sensaciones y contar una historia, sin usar una sola letra, ni una palabra. Y lo hace muy bien.

    Interesting platform-puzzled gameplay. Nice game. I did have a problem with the "storytelling portion." The game gave no background of what was going on except for the game details in the Steam store. There was no cutscene/integrated method of telling a very simple story.

    Rispetto ad Inside però qui non c'è una trama (per quanto anche in Inside questa sia criptica) e inoltre in Limbo ho trovato alcune parti quasi frustranti a causa della necessità di più tentativi per essere comprese, mentre in Inside magari si muore ma si sa cosa fare.

    Consigliato per la brevità ma se volete provare solo un gioco di questo genere andate su Inside (migliore anche stilisticamente a mio avviso).

    Played it in 2020, and had a lot of fun yet. The tense moments and the atmosphere gives you a great feeling of the character. Not so hard puzzles and entertaining gameplay. Would advise everyone who loves the platform genre.

    Without being presumptuous it tells you a very interesting story so quietly you may not even notice, but it's there. I think judging the platforms or puzzles is not the point of this game, but even though they're pretty good.

    I played this game with my mother and my sister-in-law, of whom neither had played a PC game before, and both really enjoyed it. It's simplicity really goes hand in hand with all of it's other qualities.

    It truly shines because of it's art style and intriguing atmosphere that are both complimented by it's mysterious plot. The puzzles are fantastic and fun, the controls are simple, the    I played this game with my mother and my sister-in-law, of whom neither had played a PC game before, and both really enjoyed it. It's simplicity really goes hand in hand with all of it's other qualities.

Normally, abstract storytelling is my kinda thing but it just doesn't work when it's this vague. Some puzzles are also annoying to deal with. Some puzzles mess with your movement and a lot of them require precise jumps which, as I mentioned before, isn't the easiest thing to figure out in this game. In it's core, I think this is a good experience but it definitely has a lot of flaws.… Expand

    Limbo is a brilliant game for me. Great graphics and very atmospheric music and sounds in the game. Sometimes the game can scare you when you play on headphones and in a dark room. I went through the game twice. And I must say that I will definitely come back to this game. I love this game with all my heart.

    The level design is based on puzzles that can be solved with platform elements. The game has only 24 levels and the game time is only 2 or 3 hours. Yes, this is a short game. But the levels are well thought out. Some levels can force you even on the second play.

    _у каждого была недосказанность того или иного действия, предложения, произведения и открытым концом это не назовёшь. Пройдённая игра LIMBO именно так со мной и обошлась, вроде есть начало, постепенное прохождение, равномерная сложность и привязанные к выполнению загадки, но выглядит всё это и ощущается как пролог, вступление к бедующей большой игре

    _и LIMBO не назовёшь демкой, то что    _у каждого была недосказанность того или иного действия, предложения, произведения и открытым концом это не назовёшь. Пройдённая игра LIMBO именно так со мной и обошлась, вроде есть начало, постепенное прохождение, равномерная сложность и привязанные к выполнению загадки, но выглядит всё это и ощущается как пролог, вступление к бедующей большой игре

    Simple but great. The game really suprised me. The graphics are minimalistic and there is no speech but the atmosphere is awesome.

    Um dos melhores jogos atmosférios/puzzle já feitos! Acredito que só fica atrás de Portal, pois os puzzles não são tão bem elaborados assim, mas vale a pena pela mensagem que passa!

    This game was a present for my birthday, I didn't expect that I'll become addicted to this fabulous indy game. Sure 6 y.o. I wasn't too good at puzzle games but the atmosphere and the environment confused my mind. Even though, till this day I'm still playing and reminding myself that I had the best gaming experience ever.

    I really enjoyed playing Limbo. It has good atmosphere and puzzles are challenging to solve but not frustrating. However there is no music at all, just some ambient playing sometimes.

Without any other information you find yourself dropped into the middle of a dark and intriguing place, everything around you is dark except for a light that comes from the background, and your glowing eyes. From there you follow a linear story solving numerous puzzles of various types to progress and reach your final destination.

    Limbo is a game that doesn't fit everyone's taste, it has no combat or action, just a young boy in a senseless world where everything tries to kill you. The game's proposal is interesting and well executed, it follows a pattern from the beginning to the end without getting lost, as said before, you will move on solving puzzles until you get somewhere, without knowing why.

    Definitely the strongest point of Limbo are its graphics, the game is simple but very beautiful, its environment is amazing, everything is dark, macabre, brings an atmosphere that the place is not good. All the objects in the game are black, including the character, except his eyes, which perhaps indicate that he is still alive inside, or that he still has hope that something good will happen.

    Its soundtrack is different from the usual soundtrack of platform games, the game does not have any music during its entire length, only the sounds of the environment, the machines, the animals, the character's steps, and his deaths, which are extremely brutal. However, this is not a bad thing at all, the sounds in the game are striking and bring up several feelings in an extraordinary way. From the thunderous sounds of the bear trap closing, the frightening sound of a giant spider following you, to the calm sound of the rain. The lack of music as a main soundtrack causes some moments of silence, which following the proposal does not cause strangeness to the player, but moments of reflection, you begin to wonder what you are doing there, who are you, what is your goal anyway? Is your sister really there?

    The gameplay is very simple, you use only 4 buttons on the keyboard, the arrows to the left, right, up, and ctrl. The commands work very well, have a good response but I found that they end up limiting the game a little, the puzzles are limited to simple actions, such as pushing / pulling boxes and activating some button using the ctrl, which is the action button. However, this limitation is offset by the variety of puzzles, although the action has a certain limit you will use it in various situations, the issue of only using boxes will be combined with water, with altered gravity, etc. In my opinion, the weak point of the gameplay is that there comes a time when to progress you simply have to die, over and over again. You don't think anymore to move forward, you just have to try again until you get it right.

    Limbo is the kind of game that doesn't tell you anything about the story, this may cause many to dislike it. *Spoiler Alert* The game doesn't have a conclusion, in the end you get to your sister and the game just ends, without you knowing anything about what happened. But this creates a huge space theories, and you can create your own and stick with it.

    Conclusion - It is a reasonable one, it makes you think and try to understand what just happened on your screen when you finish it. I find games that leave an ending open for theories interesting, but because Limbo gives you absolutely no context about the game I didn't enjoy it that much. At a certain point it changes the way you solve challenges and is no longer about puzzles that you have to think about to solve, but rather timing it to activate a button or not. It was not a game that held me very much, perhaps because of the lack of a story, or the variety of things to do. But it is a game that I recommend. It is a different experience that is worthwhile, especially because it is a short game, you will not get bored of the puzzles even if they are repeated a bit. I think it's a good one time experience, wouldn't play again.    … Expand

    This is a really fun and beautifully designed game. The puzzle solving is pretty clever. There's no music throughout, only ambient sounds here and there. This can be called a short and different experience.

    Secondly, controls are so annoying and it makes you crazy. The character doesn't jump as I wanted or he doesn't hold as I wish. It feels like I'm not controlling him, the character does whatever he wants.

    Despite all this you can get entertained by Limbo's brilliantly designed puzzles. They can be really creative and difficult to solve. But one bad thing about the puzzles is they can be really cryptic and that's not good for me. Sometimes it becomes extremely challenging and i believe that %95 of the people can't finish this game without looking to a guide or walk-through video. Especially the secret level was that close to make me rage-quit.

    The soundtracks are also very bad chosen and there are music only in the 10 second "storytelling" cutscenes.

    Limbo is a puzzle game with its unique look. This game is really unforgiving so you have to be really patient and enjoy similar games to have fun. While the game is beautiful and entertaining it feels like there is no real idea behind it.
