Apr 27, 2018Light Fall is a simple platformer designed great for speed runners but with enough lore for any casual player to enjoy.
-
May 2, 2018Light Fall is a clever and artistically crafted puzzle platformer with a curiously compelling narrative and well balanced, steady rate of increasing difficulty that encourages you to try a little harder with each subsequent stage.
-
May 2, 2018A good platformer game, inspired by hits like Super Meat Boy or Limbo. It's challenging and it has imaginative boss battles, but it also lacks replay value and it's short, maybe too short.
-
Aug 27, 2018Overall Light Fall is a nice addition to the platforming genre, with some unique environments, unfortunately it falls short when it comes to difficulty. Adding the ability to create platforms at will seems like a good idea on paper, however it falls short when it allows you to skip large sections of the map with ease.

CD-ActionAug 2, 2018Bishop Games decided to break the "don’t fix it, if it’s not broke" rule and took a swing at an eternal foundation of platforming games, achieving something between a devastating uppercut and a shy slap. The idea to replace predefined platforms with ones created by the player on the fly sometimes works great, but due to inadequate level design most of the time I felt the developers failed to properly take advantage of the concept. Still I enjoyed the atmosphere of a dark fable, surprisingly good writing and pleasant movement physics, until the terrible last act erased the good impression almost entirely. [07/2018, p.78]

May 7, 2018Though not without some minor issues, Light Fall manages to overcome its fairly typical visual design and platforming gameplay thanks to the unique Shadow Core mechanics and an engaging narrator.
-
May 18, 2018Light Fall’s main gameplay mechanic presents an interesting freeform gameplay, with a pleasant sense of momentum. Unfortunately, even though the concept is quite unique it nevertheless remains just a concept due to its short length, predictable level design and lack of variety.
-
Apr 27, 2018Light Fall has some fantastic ideas and a great mixture of satisfying platforming and level design, but the fun comes to an abrupt end in the final world. So much so, it sours the whole experience.
-
Jun 29, 2018The wonderfully artistic Light Fall offers an unusual twist on the classic platforming genre by giving you the ability to create your own platforms – an interesting mechanic that frustrates as often as it inspires.
-
Apr 30, 2018If you can ignore its feeble storytelling and abysmal final act, Light Fall provides some quick, engaging platforming on an eye-popping canvas.
