Light is a short and simple 2D stealth game.

In each of the 12 levels, you are tasked with completing 1-4 objectives before exiting the level. The only fail condition is that you get killed by one of the guards. The whole game, and all Steam achievements, can be completed in about an hour.

The graphics are sleek and simple, and if you don't like the effects, you can turn them off in the options menu. The music is good too, which is great, because the developers include the soundtrack for free.

The game itself is okay, very simplistic, has it's moment, and a little fun, the problem is that the game is incredibly short, (finished it in less then a hour.) and very over priced, for such a game; 5$ tops not 13$.

Light is a decent demonstration of stealth done on a smaller scale. The minimalist approach is novel, and the bare-bones stealth mechanic can be refreshing to those entering the genre for the first time.

There is certainly light in this tunnel, but it doesn't shine brightly enough to reach the end. [Oct 2014, p.81]

Light ends up feeling like a proof of concept, an unfinished prototype with some decent ideas that either lack depth or don't quite hit the mark. Ultimately, strong aesthetics can't compensate for that. [Sept 2014, p.126]
