I am not sure why this game needed a remastered edition at all. I own a 34" Ultrawide and Deck Nine can't seem to figure this out. Why in 2022 is that even a problem. The game is choppy you can tell when it switches to video to gameplay before you couldn't and some of the lighting is really funky against what was originally cell shaded art. Deeply emotive, well written, respectful of player choice, and with a great look and atmosphere, Life is Strange and Life is Strange: Before the Storm are must-haves for anyone interested in narrative-driven adventures that focus more on the characters than the plot itself - even when taking their flaws into consideration. When it comes to the remastered collection, though… better wait for a generous bargain if already in possession of the original instalments, as the upgrades are not that strong, and the package isn't devoid of a few technical issues. If a total newcomer, however, be sure to check it out - although you can expect a bug or two if unlucky.

Life is Strange: Remastered Collection allows fans of the franchise to come home to Arcadia Bay and experience the stories of Max and Chloe all over again with a beautiful update to the visuals. It’s wonderfully nostalgic to hear the chilled out indie music playing over long, sprawling cutscenes. It’s just as easy to be drawn into the complex plot themes of love, betrayal, loneliness and revenge… all against the darker backdrop of murder, drugs and kidnap. This is the perfect time for those who never quite got around to it the first time to jump in. It is such a wonderful experience with all the visual updates that come with the Life is Strange: Remastered Collection.

Though it's a good entry point for series newcomers, Life is Strange Remastered Collection seems entirely unnecessary for anyone else.
