A masterful coming-together of all plot threads explored in the series so far, Dark Room is an intense ride into the deepest, darkest secrets of Arcadia Bay.

It shows the still known mechanical faults, but the story is worth every minute, as it sets the tone for a hopefully tense finale.

Regardless, Episode 4 reassured me with a powerful episode that tugged at my heart. Max and Chloe truly feel like lifelong friends, and I want them to have happy closure.

The cliffhanger The Dark Room finishes on opens a whole new can of worms, so to speak, while the more surreal questions remain unaddressed (what’s with the whales on the beach? The crazy weather? The nefarious Prescott family?). Finales can make or break a series and Life is Strange is precariously balanced.

A great episode in which and Dontnod delivers some of the greatest moments of the series. Characters, stories, arts, gameplay : everything is still excellent in Dark Room and its conclusion can let us think that we're going to have a hell of a conclusion in the next and final chapter.

Dark Room starts with a bang, with one of the most intense, soul crushing moments ever lived in a videogame. After that, tedious dialogues take over, together with few trial & error moments and some plot holes. This is probably the worst episode of an otherwise great series. Cannot wait to play the season finale.

The episode starts with the narrative on hold. But when it reaches its middle point it gets on track and we can enjoy a long investigation all action and puzzles. Something happens, at last.

Come October shall we look back and wonder where this potential went? Perhaps we shall ask ourselves what could have been done differently. Or, perhaps, Life is Strange will navigate these concerns, becoming the game we hoped it would be.

Dark Room finally sets off the mystery but it’s the least consistent episode of Life Is Strange so far.

That's been a really interesting and unique emotional experience

Yes, it is the most glitched episode (time mechanic, sound sync), but what a story!!! I've never been so shocked (even though what Dontnod did in the Ep 4 with story is what I suspected after previous episodes) as with this game. "Dark Room" certainly doesn't deserve 10/10, but for the first time I have to give such a mark. Unbelievably high bar is set for Dontnod and their final episode of Life is Strange. Full Review »
