Fans of both the Star Wars movies and the Lego series of games will not be disappointed and those looking for a fun, easy to play title, should definitely consider this game.

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Has some issues and takes some shortcuts but I had tremendous fun playing the game (ever more than watching the actual movie). The game is really funny, demanding for younger gamers and offers tons of cool stuff to unlock. It's no revolution but the overall feeling is great.

It's a great game based on Episode 7 and captures the spirit of the movie, but doesn't offer anything more than what's typical for the series.

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens is another LEGO game with it's good and bad elements. It's the exact representation of Star Wars movie with LEGO style, and adds some new, but not good, mechanics to its classic gameplay.

The game’s most notable quality is the Star Wars license. Yet again it’s obvious that Traveller’s Tales should at least try to reinvent the LEGO series. [09/2016, p.64]

This is exactly what you were looking for. Easy and accessible gameplay to share with your younger brother/son/cousin, smart humorous cut-scenes and a plethora of lovely details to tickle the fanboy in you.

An average action game saved by a charming sense of humour and an intoxicating sense of fun.

But still, it’s a Lego game, and it is Star Wars. Mindless, cute, without any meaningful gameplay, crassly but effectively premised on the need to collect, that modern drive that makes merchandising a crucial part of a franchise. It’s counting on you to push forward for want of more, more, more, even if you don’t know who Ello Asty is. And now with paid DLC on the side!

  1. If you’ve a kid who just got into Star Wars via the new movie, goodness me this can’t be recommended highly enough. But at the same time, and I’ve been the one fighting off saying this for years longer than many others, it’s getting stale. It needs to be something new, to invent a new way to create something so adorable, because at this point it’s getting very hard not to recommend just picking up the older, cheaper titles. You’d barely notice the difference.

Terrible, **** PC port, uninspired levels, repetitive gameplay (let's not get me started on the **** shooter parts). One of the best Lego games I played so far. It does not do anything revolutionary but it fixes most of broken mechanics and for the first time it makes collectibles really fluent to gather. It still has many issues like: being just to easy, way too many characters (or lack of proper character choosing screen) and not-so-well PC port, but I had fun playing it with my wife which is what matters most to me in these games.
