It’s shorter, shows less creativity in mission design than its predecessor and still has all the problems that showed up with the first Lego game in 2005. It’s still fun in co-op mode, though, but the next Lego game should be done from scratch.
-
It’s a well-done sequel – an evolution without revolutions.
-
Whatever its flaws, this game does a decent enough job of walking the line between sticking to the formula and mixing things up.
-
PC GamerThe series desperately needs a bigger leap forward, but this sequel fills the obvious Indy gap with no small style. [Mar 2010, p.82]
-
Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues was always going to feel a bit desperate, making the most out of a small amount of new content, but Traveller's Tales has done a decent job.
-
PC Zone UKIf you own the first, then there's little reason to upgrade. [Apr 2010, p.90]
-
Lego Indiana Jones: The Adventure Continues is a fun game the play, with the great option to make your own levels, but it is a big shame that you can't share those levels with your friends!
-
With lack of inspiration and some important mistakes, Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues is a nice game, but far less brilliant than its previous effort.
-
PC FormatThis is the fifth incarnation of a Lego license game and it hasn't moved on. [Feb 2010, p.94]
-
The lack of secrets in the main levels is a mistake, the new hub worlds are confusing and the level editor is just short of being pointless. If you haven't already played it, the original LEGO Indiana Jones is a much better purchase.
-
LEVEL (Czech Republic)New adventures of the most famous archaeologist consist of two completely different parts. First half is fun with great puzzles; the second one is a bit too chaotic. Pity the editor is offline only. [Issue#186]
-
Total PC GamingIt's fun but too fiddly, and lacks the charm of the superior original. [Issue#29, p.53]
-
BoomtownSurvives on the good will generated by its predecessors. But compared to those previous games, this new game lacks the same charm, the same childish appeal and its unique humor. Maybe the console versions look much better than this PC version, but Travelers Tales' otherwise very quirky series has not survived the jump from Playstation 2 to PC very well.
