PC Zone UKAn imperfect romp that manages to cover its flaws with charm and relentless action. [Oct 2010, p.84]
-
PC Gamer UKA joyous and addictive action puzzler. [Sept 2010, p.102]
-
The comedic cutscenes toying with canon, the hundreds of hidden things to find, and the general sense of a great LEGO game paired with a great series really makes this game a standout.
-
The concept of LEGO Games blends perfectly with the Harry Potter franchise. Possibly the best LEGO Game to date!
-
A great comeback for the Lego series with a great love for details and lots of comedy. But it's too easy for seasoned gamers and therefore targeted at a younger audience.
-
If you're a Harry Potter fan, a Lego fan, or just looking for a fun pick up and play game, do yourself a favor and check it out.
-
LEGO Harry Potter is a lighthearted, fun game that will keep you busy for quite some time.
-
The story material is handled wonderfully (though if you've never read the books or watched the movies, prepare to be lost), and the gameplay is a great mix of familiar devices and new elements. Although the inevitable follow-up to this title may take a darker turn, I look forward to experiencing it all the same.
-
Harry's adventure into Lego land is exactly what you'd want it to be: charming, fun, and chock-full of secrets.
-
LEGO Harry Potter is much deeper than it seems and presents a universe that feels tailored for the LEGO treatment. A few technical issues aside, LEGO Harry Potter is a game that is truly fun for all ages and above all, a game first and a license second.
-
Lego Harry Potter is the next big franchise to be set up with the cute and funny Lego-style, which developer Traveller's Tales had in their previous games. If you don't mind the problems with the fixed camera-angles and the low difficulty of the game, you get a comic, comprehensive game that is absolutely suitable for kids and which offers co-op gameplay.
-
LEVEL (Czech Republic)Another piece perfectly fitting to a growing construction set of LEGO games. As this usual great fun doubles when you play it with a friend in coop multiplayer. [Aug 2010]
-
Quotation forthcoming.
-
LEGO Star Wars was an inspired experiment of a talented team. LEGO Harry Potter is a mediocre product of seasoned craftsmen, complete with old mistakes but not a single spark.
-
PC FormatThe format of these games gets more and more tired with each new franchise, too. [Sept 2010, p.104]
