Another fantastic LEGO game. LEGO Batman is simple enough for kids to mash their way through, but addicting and deep enough to hold the interest of their parents, and the rare game perfect for them to play together.
-
PC PowerPlayRegardless of whether you're a Batman fan or not, or whether you're angry that Batman's name has once again been taken in vain, the reality is that Lego Batman is just fun. And even angry people like fun, right? [January 2009, p.61]
-
PC GamerCombat, while simplistic, captures some of the campy charm of the '60s Batman TV show. [Holiday 2008, p.72]
-
PC Gamer UKThe best Lego game yet. Utter fun. [Dec 2008, p.90]
-
A thoroughly entertaining game that has a wide appeal for young and old. The low level of violence and simplicity of challenge makes it easy to play. A good solid family game that we highly recommend.
-
Just like Lego Indiana Jones this game was inspired by the movies, but concentrates on fighting three supervillains, one in each mission. You can play Batman or Robin, each with his own abilities, while the AI controls the other one. The linear missions are full of weird riddles and machines. The game looks great and offers a lot of variety, even if you don't like the slapstick comedy and the pribble-prabble of the characters.

Gamers.atLEGO Batman is the very opposite to “The Dark Knight” – less psychotic brutality, more kindergarten-flair. Consequent improvements compared to its predecessors are what make this game truly enjoyable – though I’d have liked to see some real innovations this time around. [Issue # 16]
-
And as a game adults can get something out of at the same time as younger gamers, it's perfect.
-
But one thing is certain: LEGO Batman reminded me of the good old times when I was a kid.
-
PC Zone UKHugely imaginative. [Dec 2008, p.64]
-
PC FormatA refinement. [Christmas 2008, p.98]
-
LEGO Batman is good fun, but it's really just the same thing we've seen before. I don't think the LEGO formula needs much of a change, but certainly the common issues with the series should no longer exist.
-
With Batman, the Lego saga achieves another new episode of pure fun. Perhaps the puzzles are easier this time, and the action of the combat isn´t satisfactory at all; but it continues being a remarkable entertainment, and a recommendable videogame to play with friends.
-
Total PC Gaming80 percent of it you've seen before, but Lego Batman is still as fun as you'd hope. [Issue#13, p.62]
-
LEVEL (Czech Republic)A cute and foolish platformer brings more fun then brick adventures of Indiana Jones. Excels in multiplayer, lacks in camera handling – no change since the very first "LEGO Star Wars." [Nov 2008]
