Toxic like ex. Sucks money as ex. Game is not good for mental health, but you are keep coming back to it due to good memories. But community in this game is terrible due to riot stupid decisions (its better to ban guy who can't handle 3 trolls in team, than those 3 trolls)

Arcane was the only good thing about this game series. Playing League has made me lose so much blood. I punched seven wholes in seven walls. This Game makes me want to jump through a ring of fire and eat eighty extra glazed donuts. I am so sad when i play. My heart spills out of my body every time I play. I wish I never played. I lost the love of my life because I played. But its fine.

On the Summoners Rift map, each player is put into a pool with four other players unless they are playing in a premade game with friends, which would lessen the number of random players in the lobby. The different roles in LoL are the Top, Jungle, Mid, Bot/ADC, and Support. Each roll has a specific job within each match, with many players tending to specialize in only one or two roles in their entire history with LoL. Once players have their roles, they pick a Champion to play as. LoL has over 140 Champions to choose from, each with unique abilities and playstyle. However, each Champion can usually only fit one or two class styles: Assassin, Fighter, Mage, Marksman, Support, and Tank. Each Champion also has the same default controls, with the player views them from a 3rd person perspective, looking down on them from above. The game is typically played with a mouse and keyboard.
The main objective of Summoners Rift is to destroy the opposing team’s Nexus. However, the base is guarded by powerful stationary, stone turrets protected by constant waves of minions. The main gameplay is to kill opponent minions and Champions to gain experience points (XP) which are used to level your Champion and gold to buy items. As a Champion gains levels, their base stats increase, and they can improve one of their abilities, with the max level attainable being 18. Gold is used to acquire items in the shop at a player’s base; items increase a Champions base stats and can give additional abilities. There are over 200 unique items in LoL, but the maximum amount of items a Champion can hold is 6. When a Champion is killed, they have a revive timer, depending on if the game is in its early, mid, or late game stages.
Communication can be the most enjoyable aspect of the game when playing LoL with friends, sitting in the same room with you, or chatting on a voice call. Warning your friend about an approaching enemy, playfully teasing them when they make an outrageous mistake that leads to their Champion’s death, or just bursting out in laughter at them landing a killing blow against the odds is what can make playing LoL a timeless experience. However, when playing with strangers online, that same teamplay aspect can make LoL a painful experience. Even though LoL doesn’t have a voice channel for casual play, there is still text chat. I have often made just one simple mistake, and suddenly my entire team is belittling me, calling me slurs, and demanding I uninstall the game. Opponents can also be quite toxic towards you and put you down and call you “trash” and the like.
LoL’s gameplay can be very entertaining, especially once you get the hang of at least one Champion and start showing off your skills. However, LoL’s steep learning curve does hinder most beginners. It took me around 2 years to get my head around the mechanics within LoL, and my primary motivation was playing it so I could bond with my older brother more. Without an underlying reason to master the game, many players trip over its mechanics and end up being kicked by some toxic player and call it quits there. LoL excels when played with friends as they can act as a cushion against the struggles presented by the game in its complexity and the potential heckling of the other team. However, without the safety net of friends, the LoL community is just not a welcoming place that has often made me quit a match in disgust, or even though we might end a game with a victory, I’ll end up feeling less than myself.
If one can get past the toxic community of League of Legends, the game itself is delightful to play. Each match doesn’t take excessive time, and proving to your opponents and teammates your successes within the game can be a thrilling experience. Learning a new role, class style, or Champion can be an exciting challenge. Experimenting with building different items on a Champion can be a journey of creativity and problem-solving. Working with strangers to complete the common goal of destroying the enemies’ Nexus can be a fulfilling endeavor that bleeds into working with others in your day-to-day life. I ultimately come back to LoL because I can bond over something familiar with my brother and friends. But even without them and facing the toxicity of my teammates and opponents, LoL is still a fun game to overcome complex challenges.

the soaring highs you get when you win, or better yet manage to carry your team to a victory are practically unmatched and makes LoL one of the most addicting games on any platform

The gameplay is well crafted, and with the large pool of Champions to choose from, you have many ways to play the game. Or at least you should.

The biggest flaw on this game within the bound's of Riot's control is the system for unlocking new Champions. gaining the materials needed to unlock a Champion come with each level, but it gets harder to level up over time, as it requires more experience. When choosing a Champion to unlock, you become flustered, knowing it will become harder and harder to get any of the Champions you don't decide to buy when you finally have enough "Blue Essence" to unlock one of your choosing. This makes the game stale after some time, and just plain not enjoyable when you mix this system with the repetitive gameplay. Without the slow moving character unlocking system, this could be a great online game, that players can have fresh experiences with each Champion they unlock.

LOL has left me with a dozen memories, as I've spent hundreds of hours there. Unfortunately, that was back when the game still contained a max level of 30. It wasn't until later that they added the ability to level up, and that was back when I wasn't playing, but that's beside the point. Back to LOL itself. The game caught my eye right off the bat. The simple graphics here just appealed to me, and the game is ultimately a lot clearer than Dota, which I only played for a few hours and was absolutely lost. But here, after a while, you pick up what and how and that makes the game more accessible to more people. It didn't take long for me to tell my friends about LOLku back in I think it was 2015, and they subsequently downloaded the game and we started playing together regularly. The rules of the game are pretty clear. Two teams of five players and both teams have an inhibitor they have to protect and they have to destroy the other team's inhibitor, only to get to it they have to go through towers that start giving you damage and so you die after a while. So the only way to get to the enemy inhibitor is to destroy these towers and this will make the game longer and in the end one game will take around 30-50 minutes. You can still kill the dragon, which will give your team advantages. To top it all off, you still earn goals during gameplay. For killing enemies, for destroying enemy towers and so on. You can then buy items with the coins, which give you upgrades in the form of damage, HP and so on. The player gets into it pretty quickly, and the biggest obstacle is perhaps just the lack of knowledge of the characters' abilities. Once you get into it, however, you're in for hundreds of hours of fun doing the same thing over and over again, but for each match you get a Blue Essence (still an IP then, but now it's Blue Essence) and you can then unlock more champions with that currency. On top of that, you also level up, so the game doesn't lack a sense of progression. There are also skins or the ability to unlock a champion right away for real money, but so some of those microtransactions are already expected in a F2P title and personally I think League of Legends is not a pay-to-win game. On top of that as I mentioned the game is free, which is fine. Overall for me it is a good game and if you don't know what to play with your friends, League of Legends is such an obvious choice. Just beware of the community, which is perhaps the most toxic I've ever experienced. I've never seen so much swearing and I slept with your mom type stuff. Expand

I've been playing this game since open beta, so I have a ton of experience of all the changes the game has went through.

First of, if you are ONLY looking at the visual side of things, holy crap, the game has improved a lot. It was pretty ugly and all the models were very low polygon count. Nowadays it's far greater graphically, map is super nice, spells look super flashy and well created.

But the gameplay has taken... ummm... a slight downturn. I never understood the necessity of bushes but I let that go since you were always able to put a ward down.

Nowadays every single lane has like 3 bushes, so there's never enough actual vision you can achieve to protect yourself from ganks. In old days when you got ahead or got ganked, you purchased 75g ward and were relatively safe. Now you buy pink ward and you're burning that ward out with saving maybe a second or two from an individual gank. Ward gets taken down and you can't do anything.

Now if you have AFK teammember, you no longer are able to go to soak lane or go to jungle, in case something went wrong in champion select. You're FORCED into a role and the system has been tweaked so hard to not allow any variety. I cleared red, blue and frog with Graves without smite and I was still level 1.

Also there's a lot of champions that got weaker over time for no good reason. Talon used to be amazing assassin who could delete opponent. Now he's much slower to gank and his burst does far more damage than a single Leblanc Q+W. Maybe he's gotten little safer to escape after ganks but I liked the old kit where he was able to 1v5 when fed.

Xerath used to have a cool unique technique that was fully counterable by strong initiate, that got taken away while he still retains the strong burst and range. I miss the old Galio who could play as support. Now you're pretty much forced mid because you can't survive 2v2 without very specific set of runes and having ultra aware ADC, enemy who over extends etc. There's just so many champions that can do better than him.

This game needs to go back to its roots (mechanically) and take some steps to make each champion to have an unique Strength rather than having every new champion overloaded with 10 different mechanics.

I mean it's cool to play them, but you're pretty much forced to one trick champion nowadays if you attempt to do any climbing, and playing one champion is ULTRA boring. I miss the time I could just pick something wacky like Sion support and just spam stun and shield explosion, use money to buy wards and roam. A place where we could experiment new things. Now you're pretty much forced to babysit ADC because all your money generation items require having a teammate next to you.

I think the community took huge dump downward in season 3 and forward and nowadays you cannot go a single game without someone getting blamed for trolling or intentionally feeding or just asking to report for no reason.

I still play it because I like the game, but I feel it has now far less skill expression due to how much less vision you're able to give to your team if you're not support, or if you're support, how little you're allowed to roam, how easy it's to die when behind.

Oh I almost forgot the extremely high snowball due to how much damage s10 and s11 have wrought with first the rune rework (everyone was complaining the damage was too high) and now s11 where the main core items get given in full strength, easily doing an additional 200 damage boost from abilities, or/and leaping character forward.

I guess the items could be good buy there already was summoners which were supposed to be these ultimate rescue items. Now you got Jhin with Heal who speeds up, flash, slow due to trap and 2nd leap with item, and you literally cannot catch this immobile champ anymore, and it's supposed to be its weakness.

Baron buff is way too strong now and dragons give permanent buffs that are impossible to be gained. Rift Herald was cool at first but should have been severely nerfed. Jeesus, if you have some champs with ability to kill towers fast on a solo lane, and you get killed by ganks, you might lose all towers and even the first tower in core. It's just too much.

There is sutch a poison in the air. The players are almost all toxic. Plus the champion they give you is very strong while in the first levels, but then you how crappy he is. I think if riot could take that away, the game would be just perfect.

When you first start playing it's not addictive at all, but you keep playing for your friends and you start to get into the game. It's ok if you play a little and then quit or when you use it to talk on discord, but only that. The community sucks and I don't see any captivating story in the game. What is interesting are the tournaments, little else. I wouldn't play anymore.

You take a few days (or months) to understand the basics of game. But, to be really good, you have to play in the ranked mode, because normally is harder than the casual game. All the matches last at least 15 minutes but it is possible to extent to 50 minutes or more. And it is very stressful when you face a better enemy than you are, or have a newbie teammate.
The launcher has a lot of technical problems like when the game crashes, or have a slow loanding screen. But with all this problems I still love the game. You have tons of content about the game on the internet, guides of how to play, vĂdeos to watch, cinematics and minigames. And this is for me the incredible part of this massive game.
You can play with your friends or random teamates, you have a lot options to choose your style of how you will play the game or the skin of your Champion. It has a huge comunity and a lot of regular players. 4.5 / 5

It was a very good game until like season 5-6. Ever since then, yea the devs are trying. New graphics, cinematic trailers, improvements, balance changes, bug fixes etc..., but the overall FEELING, of what league was is gone. This was a game, where if you were better, more knowledgeable, knew the what how and had a good rune and talent build (old system), and with the right items, and game play, you could dominate, also you had better teamwork with your team. Now days it feels dumbed down, the community is so salty and toxic, i find it hard to work with others most of the time, and that negative mentality spreads faster then the covid. Even got me a few times. Don't get me wrong, you can still hard carry games if your good, its just you have to sweat blood for it sometimes.
Its hard to point what went wrong for me with this game over the years, but from being an active almost daily player with an eager to climb beyond diamond in the seasons, i'm barely doing the qualifiers to gold to get the free victorious skin for the year, and that's that. Rarely I check back in for some events or to play with friends, but like only once every other week or month.
The continuous changes, that I feel most of the time were unnecessary and came faster and faster overtime are to blame I think. Rember: the old galio? Old nidale? Old Zyra (passive multikills)? AP blender Yi? Soraka jungle? Old items: Leviatan? Sword of the Occult? Will of the ancients (spellwamp)? Old supp items (Hearth of gold, philosopher stone, kage's prick)? RIP, RIP and RIP! The list goes on FOREVER...
Who plays ryze now? Who likes playing Yuumi under gold league? Anyone seen a Nidale over the last 100 games he/she had in the rift?
They "balanced" out all the things, that made League overall FUN. Now its dumbed down so much it basicly left (mostly and in low level, but not everywhere) basicly to yasuo and zed mains with a 50-50-100% (good-bad-in the enemy team/my team).
Just to give another example: this season i feel like bot lane meta is kinda dying, especially on the lower level. Even I myself find it better to just bring an ap "support" to support (deal tons of damage for) my team, simply because as I said before, the quality is way beyond critical levels, and YOU CANNOT carry a game, with a support soraka/leona(maybe/janna), etc..., but can with others like veigar ,lux, orianna,etc... or of meta rengar/riven/sion, etc...
I've said it many times (Support main in case anyone wonders) 0*anything remains what? 0! I can heal, shield, cc, even tank (ie: Cait ult), give my hearth, blood and soul, if the adc, jungle, mid and even the top is ... what it is, there is JUST NOTHING YOU CAN DO!
Old times? You could; More plausible to do 4v5 and even 3v5-s then it is now.
I can say the same for TFT as well.
    S1: cool awsome, fun, cool
S2: wtf? ok still kinda cool, not so much fun or awsome...
    S3: changed again realy?
    mid season changes, etc...
Im so fed up tbh. Even this nexus blitz even now. MAIN EVENT? RNG bring it to 1 team so there is nothing you can do about it, or just do some ****
There is a difference between fun cheese, and forced **** up RNG RIOT! And sadly they took all the fun out, and brought all the **** RNG in.
Now to be fair, from a neutral view, League is still an outstanding MOBA, with better visuals and sounds, and with clearly a lot of effort put into it (they had the money from us to do it). If you are a new player and NEVER played the game before, you will most likely love it and can give you a solid 8/10 on it. But for me who knew what the game was like and played since S1. It slowly became from a 10/10, to a 8/10 by the end of S5-6, to a now 5 (and almost a 4).
And just to turn back a bit, why did we have to go beyond account level 30 "to infinity"? Aside to bring in loot boxes and more opportunity to make $$$? Yes Full f2p players can get skins now thanks to the crafting system, which I as a fellow f2p player was happy at first, but then again after some time you and many other veterans can ask the question, whats it worth now to have a cool skin on your favourite champion? Yea sure you bought the skin years ago and now its basically free you threw away a bit of money, Yes you see more people with the same skin as yours. But do you really get the same "joy"?
Normal rift is a **** avoid it if possible, its a toxic nest literally.
Aram is aram, its ok, Rest are the best.
Practice tool again: great addition, 0 fun potencial with the 60 minute time limit. Still its a good thing to have, and very much appreciated.
What this game really needs is to get all of its **** together finally, make it AT LEAST a year without any **** major changes/balance updates.
    New champ meta:
week 1: new champ comes in (higher price to buy, idk wtf was the point of that, previously was 6300 all time, feels CHEAP!)
    week 2: major nerf(s).
    week 3 - : get rekt.

    For new players: 8/10

    Score/Nota: 6.0/10

The massive multiplayer has never been my specialty, but with LOL I've been around 300+ hours since I discovered it a couple of years ago and I think "the time has come".

The greatest virtue of LOL is that it can give direct fun to both novice players and people looking for a real challenge, because although it is simple to understand their game concept, it is incredibly complex to master it. Graphically it is similar to several games of its kind, so it does not stand out, musically it goes unnoticed and in terms of content it is quite poor (even with its immensity of characters) since it only has practically one game mode and one map (except few exceptions).

In spite of everything, it ends up being a product that offers what the player asks for and is fun, beyond its poor overall content, it gets people to stay playing, which is a merit to be taken into account. 6.0/10

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    1. The company seems very greedy, there are nearly no improvements for the community as a whole
    2. The actual development method makes the game game feel more and more insubstantial
    3. Some changes and "updates" are not really reasonable, most balancing-attempts go wrong

    Positive:
    1. Free to play, people cannot buy true advantages via money
    2. A lot of variety thanks to a lot of content (at least in terms of champions)
    3. The laddering system works quite fine

I give 5 out of 10 points because it sometimes is quite funny to play, but while it might help smashing spare time, there are not really reasons why I would see more in this game than an average title with more content than soul.

Not the best MOBA ever, but has a few good characters. I do feel that it can be annoying playing the same map over and over again. Again like every other moba, this game has a toxic community. It just seems to come with the genre and maybe from the latest generation of gamers.

League of Legends is an okay-ish RTS game, especially for those new in the genre. It's just that there ain't too much of a difference between characters, play styles, effects, buffs, skills, and whatnot. I find it having a significant lack of "variety" between its game play elements.

This game was an amazing game to have introduced to you. You had so many characters to choose from to master and you at least had one connection with one of the champions from start. It is fairly easy to learn and get used to at the beginning (though the tutorial could use a bit of work). I've played this game for 4 years now, and this whole game is normally a problem as soon as you hit level 30

I will start with the ranked system. This game has the most horrible ranked system I have ever seen. The ranked system is basically you play a game and if you win, your score goes up about 20 points. You lose, you go down about 15 points. Before you hit an actual rank, you will have to do 10 matches to determine where you should end up. Pretty simple right? Not really. With the addition of how horrible this community is for this game (and I mean horrible), there is a very low chance that you will not have an issue in your ranked game. People fight over stealing kills, others making mistakes, others losing lane, having internet or FPS lag, ect... The stuff never stops and all it does is ruin everyone.

This leads to my next topic, hardware issues. If you have the heart for this game but have really bad internet or a really bad computer, I highly recommend NOT to get or play it anymore. If you can't afford a decent PC or internet that is good enough to hold this game not effecting your playing, than you cannot play this game. You will only be blamed for it and nobody will cut you some slack. Though that is technically your fault, sometimes people can't afford to get what the average league player needs. The enemies also don't care either so they will take any chance they have to kill you whether its fair or not.

And that leads me to my next issue, dignity. In higher elo's is when this game is actually how it should be. But only 10% of the players that play this game are actually that good (Platinum, Diamond, ect...) and over 60% of the players who play this game are in the lower elo's (Silver and Bronze). It is what they call "Elo Hell" that is what's in this part of ranking. Elo hell is people hurting each other trying to get up to the top and will do whatever it takes, whether its fair or not.

Though the champions are really stunning and have awesome costumes and backstories to look into, their playstyles sometimes makes you want to hate them till no end. There is never a time when a champion can't be unbalanced. It is always people using the strongest champion at the moment, just to win. No heart for the champion, just "play to win". In ranked you do have bans yes, but either its not enough bans to have or its the fact that a person got destroyed by a person using a skilled champion that is highly unused, and just didn't want to see it ever again. The game is never balanced enough for the lower levels and that is completely unfair to 60% of the people who play this game. In higher elo's, every character is fairly used, and that is because they know every champion inside and out (essentially saying that they played this game non-stop). If a champion is "broken" or "overpowered" at the moment, people pick it to win it. That's not dignity, it's just how the game works unfortunately.

The shop can be another problem. Every champion in the game requires a certain amount of in game money or actual money. Depending on how new the champion is, is how much he/she will be in the store. This makes you want to keep playing constantly so you learn one champion after another. Some champions are so low of cost though that it can take one game to have enough (unfortunately those are starting characters that are normally banned half the time because they are ridiculously strong and easy to use). Champions might be one thing, but skins are another. You need to buy the champion before the skin, but after playing for a while, you would want to buy a costume for your favorite character. In my opinion, they are overpriced. You can sit there, pay 10 to even 30 dollars just for a different color of that champion that did nothing but make you feel like your cool (You won't be unique and stand out because everyone that reaches level 30 at least has one skin.

This game has a lot of pros to it such as bringing you and your friends together, winning games a lot can reward you highly, there is a lot to explore, champions look awesome and have cool stories to look into, and even gameplay can be easy to get used to, but it's internet or PC requirements, horrible community, un-balancing, overpriced store, and even the loss of the one thing people rarely have in this game, dignity, makes this game an easy 5/10, 6/10 at the most.

I've played this game for 4 years, so you cannot say I am not experienced enough to write this. I was in my promos to Gold 3 last season so I know how tough this game can actually be. My account name is Mantis God, and I main Kha'Zix, Thresh, Vel'Koz, and Kassadin.

When you first start out, it becomes really addicting but this game involves a lot of grinding for IP (in-game currency). Took me a about month to get a certain amount of IP to get the champion I wanted. Grinding so much really took the fun out of playing it. But it is certainly a better experience with 4-5 friends. Also, too many OP Champions and a lot of balancing issues.

And then comes the match ups, there are always top tier characters (to be fair like any game, but as it's a battle arena this makes for boring games). This just makes for the same gameplay over and over again, when you'd think that with over 100+ characters the word 'variety' would manage to show up.

I tried to enjoy this and now I'm just left with a foul taste in my mouth, personally. However, to add some good points: I can enjoy this game at time when playing with a full party of friends. This however as my level increases, becomes rarer and rarer.

So overall? It's mediocore. Fun at times.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. DRuins here with hopefully an insightful review. League of Legends as we all know exploded onto the RTSMOBA scene in 2009 however I have to say I only played one game before I was completely turned off on the game once I realized there was no denying creeps. Having said that I decided to give the game another go and try to keep my own self prejudices aside. So here is what I have learned and have judged.

League of Legends is an RTSMOBA based off the massive breakout of DoTA Allstars a mod in Warcraft: ROC and TFT. Myself have been a fan of this game since it's original start in Starcraft as Aeon of Strife. I went into this MOBA expecting them to follow the same format but with Riot Games own sort of flare. However I was surprised to find that they deviated away from the original source material by a long ways. I found that there was no longer any traditional lane control by denying your own creeps to prevent xp/gold gain to your lane opponents and there was this "pokemon" style brush where you or your enemies would disappear in as soon as stepping into it.

Instead of following the original material they took an interesting spin on things. They added additional sheets of runes and etc to enhance your champion in game. You can place runes to increase your champions Ability Power, Defense, Magical Defense and Attack Power. Granted never having experienced this before with any other MOBA of it's kind I found this both to be an added aspect to the game both good and bad. Good being it immerses you deeper into the role you are trying to or have mastered and bad in the sense it gives a veteran player an upper edge to let's say one who has not had that many games in.

In addition to the runes they also as previously mentioned taken away denying of your own creeps. I have to say that I absolutely hated this part of the game given it left me feeling no sense of lane control. No matter what I did I could no stop my opponent from gaining experience. Unless I was to just go complete "Rambo" and push him out of lane expending both health and mana to do it. I have to say this aspect of the game to me took so much skill out of it that I almost felt as though this was a casual version of my beloved DoTA.

Other changes included would be the "secondary spells" as well as the free "tp" back to base. These additional spells could be 2 of several ones. To include health, mana, blink, slow and etc. I have to say I actually enjoyed playing around with the combinations to see which suited the champion I was playing. The free "TP" back to base put me off a bit. It eliminated the need for buying teleport scrolls which again makes it a bit casual.

A big change also came in the form of no gold loss upon death. This however nice it may be really left me feeling no punishment for messing up and dying. Really didn't push me to try harder given I lost nothing for it. Yet another casual feel to an already casually feeling game.

A light however at the end of the tunnel. With LoLs immense champion pool and seemingly endless combinations and variations you are constantly striving for the best team make up and strategy which I have to say is awesome. Combined with LoLs humongous active player base you are never left sitting in Que for an eternity and with no stat recordings one or two bad games don't leave a red mark on your ledger LoL can be a nice break from the normal hardcore gaming.

"THE VERDICT" LoL is true to be a much more casual game compared to it's rivals DOTA 2 and Heroes of Newerth but I believe that to be both a good and bad thing and not just bad. With it's more casual gameplay you find yourself not getting so upset by a death or defeat and can ultimately enjoy the game more. However I have to say that if you are looking for a more skill based game and you enjoy the raging DOTA 2 and HoN might cleanse your pallet more, but if you are one of the many who just enjoys playing a game or two simply because it is a game then LoL is definitely the choice for you.

So given it's casual style compared to it's predecessor DoTA Allstars and not holding true to the skill based performance. Including it's variety of champions, spells, runes and etc. I have to give LoL a well deserved 6/10.

I love this game but can't play it due to the community.

Riot seems to favor particular champions as well in the League. Leblanc for instance had her silence removed but her damage and dodging is out of this world. It took Riot FOREVER to do something that seemed so obvious to change. Another example, Darius used to be pretty outrageous. It took Riot a while to balance him because they were afraid of nerfing him into the ground. The problem here is that again they favor their champions and don't do this for someone like Skarner or Eve that were nerfed way too far into the ground and didn't see the light of day until recently.

Oh did I mention that the servers are out of this world as well. I remember a time where the lag wasn't so bad and it was manageable. For me it was around the time of Varus's release and I enjoyed playing him because I could land all of his skill shots. I think about half a year to a year passed by and then it began to just dump and lag was inevitable about anywhere you played. This is probably around the time I switched to mid as my main because I could still play a champ with aoe abilities and have great burst to kill an opponent within those 5 stable seconds of ping. Now, every time I watch my friends play I can't help but chuckle at their demise as they helplessly lag all over the screen. I enjoy a fresh cup of liquid refreshment, kick back and just laugh at how terrible Riot's servers are and at how wise my decision was to stop playing this disaster.

If you enjoy this game and can handle game I would recommend this game to you. If you are in the same boat as me, get easily frustrated at lag, despise a horrible community then I would highly suggest you don't play this game and avoid it.

    - law of jungle and bad community - and yes, flamers are not the worse part of it, at least some portion of it gets punished in some way, in worst scenario you can mute them. But there are also feeders, afkers, trolls who ruin your game experience on purpose and you can't do anything about it. You can report them but there is obviously no punishment for it, and Riot absolutely doesn't care about it. To be honest, it's one of the worst customer care in gaming history. All they focus is e-sport side of this game, and don't care about providing a friendly environment in any way in regular games.

So summing up, a lot of games feels like a waste of time. If you loose because of being outplayed - it's natural, but if you loose and waste 30+minutes just because someone feeds or trolls on purpose - it's just demotivating.

So in perfect scenario (no flame, no feed, no trolling) this game is 9/10, but since perfect scenarios tend to happen extremely rarely, 6/10 is max I can give, it's just more often frustrating than fun.

Personally I can't stand the solo queue (AKA ranked matches playing with other people that you don't know), sometimes I find nice people to play with, they teach me and tell me what I'm doing wrong and what should I do, because they want to help me and want help to win. Other times, I find people that doesn't care at all of what are you doing, if they are playing bad then they are going to flame you because you didn't do this or that so it is your fault that they are dying.

For the game itself, It is still 6. The character rooster is great and each champion is truly unique, so each time you play it can be different. Most of them are balanced and if they aren't the game is patched pretty quickly introducing nerfs and buffs, but then, there are some champions that are so powerful that you can see them in the enemy team in every match (ex. in these months I've seen Yasuo in nearly ANY match I've played, and in draft picks he's always banned), and this can unbalance the game, but if you have a good team, you can still win.

This game is totally not Pay 2 Win, in fact, you can only pay with real money for skins and boosts, the rest can be purchased with in-game currency.

If you are looking for a game to play with your friends or you like competition, then download it, you will not be disappointed, but if you are playing alone and are easly annoyed by flamers, then avoid this game at all costs, it's just not worth it

lots of these reviews are really old and the game doesnt seem to work well on older computers(every other game it will freeze but i can always "reconnect" to it) and it is free to play, you get new champs to try every week and you also win "IP" points every match to buy new champs with, i have been playing under 2 weeks and have unlocked 3 of the cheaper-ish champs and can use themlots of these reviews are really old and the game doesnt seem to work well on older computers(every other game it will freeze but i can always "reconnect" to it) and it is free to play, you get new champs to try every week and you also win "IP" points every match to buy new champs with, i have been playing under 2 weeks and have unlocked 3 of the cheaper-ish champs and can use them permanently and that was without spending any actual cash. this is also a really difficult game, the main point is to not die, i got my skill up by playing against bots and now i dont "feed"(die alot) to the enemy faction. really hard learning curve but i have played EVE and not gone insane so i can learn this game as well.

Main point of all of this is, the game is fun with friends, it is difficult even with friends, it is free to play. even though you will want to spend money maybe to get a certain champion faster or to buy new "skins" to make your champ look different. otherwise if you like strategy games, because it takes "strategy" and knowing the proper way to use the abilities of a certain champion. you wouldnt go using a sniper rifle for up close combat in call of duty just like you wouldnt snipe someone with a shotgun. there are certain ways to use certin characters, play it for free, rage and quit, or get better and enjoy yourself, like me currently for free.

I find that with League of Legends, Riot has cultivated one of the most unique spaces in gaming history—mostly for good reasons but also for some awful ones, and in the gaming museum of the future, League is sure to have its own wing.

League of Legends handles well the worst problem DOTA has: its autistic n00b-hating elite players. Thanks to match making, now we weaklings dare to play. [Nov 2011]

Improvements are constantly being updated and although team mates make or break many matches, there is genuine fun to be found.
