And of course since this game has the "free to play" tag it has a community of kids and nerds that they are enjoying to be rude and leaving or going afk in almost every single game.
However this game is fun if you are playing with friends in any other situation this is a stupid game that has one map (actually it has 3 but there is no interest in the other 2) that people playing it repeatably all the time.

This game is too easy and by far the worst DOTA remake of all time. I mean yeah early game and mid game is fun, but late game is just a massive waste of time. It just depends on whether you can kill the whole team in one fell swoop, not items, not carries, not skill, just luck. It is a massive waste of time.

It's full of children who are not socially mature so they will tell you off no matter if you are right or they are wrong. SUPER ROTTEN, Riot, DO SOMETHING. I'm writing in capital because, it is their main problem and they really need to do something about it. If you try it, get ready for a time consuming game, you need to reach lvl 30 which is quiete a bit of work and you need to read guides and stuff about masteries and runes which amplifies your role in the game. This is a game where you need to be skilled to have some fun. Otherwise the community will eat you and spit you out without a single emotion. 4 out of 10, because the game is destroyed and nearly unplayable with that community. I have a lot of questions around this game. Why people loves as much as they love this game? What´s new in this game? Why people who lost a match gets so angry in this game?
Well, I don´t have any answer. Is a very simple game, with a few maps, with few rules. The graphics are very bad, and the goals you have to reach are all the time the same. It´s a good game to work

It´s a good game to work in groups and to use your brain too, but is not interesting. The matches sometimes get too long, sometimes more than 1 hour... At this time (beginning of 2013) League of Legends is one of the most popular online games. It has millions of players all over the world, and it just seems to be more and more popular. However, in entirety, this game is not that awesome as everyone thinks, and I guess many of the players know this, but dont admit it.

It's actually quite funny because this game consists of 50% "one kind of person", because in each match I play, there's always someone who thinks he's best or is rude because someone else aint as good as he think he is and so on. Childstalk: each time he dies, its not his fault. Either it was a teammate who did wrong or it was because of lag. Silly.

The game itself is great, but you might get tierd because of the players playing it, being so rude. It's not like any other DOTA-based game. (atleast not what I've experienced)

However, enough of this, now to the actual game.
League of Legends is considered as a DoTA-clone, but it not as much of a clone, as most other DoTA cones. You get what I mean? Both HoN, DoTA 2 and RoI are more DoTA-clones while LoL being a bit less.
Why? Well the feeling is far from what DoTA was. Not in a bad way though. You have the same map, you do the same thing, but it's still not an exact DoTA-clone.

What are the differences? Well here they are!

    Pros:
    - It's easier because it's not as fast phased as it's concurents.
    - Easier to learn and play.
    - Bigger difference between spellcasters and non-spellcasters.
    -

    Cons:
    - Too many people are being rude (not the game's fault I guess)
    - Easier (Being easy can be a consequence for some.
    - Bad balanced champions. Some champions can be way more overpowered than others.

    Notes:
What LoL have that differs from what any other DoTA Clone have, but is positive or negative deppending on your own opinion.
    LoL...
    - ...have smaller map
    - ...summonerspells, runes and masteries (like talents and gems in WoW)
    - ...much more fancy graphics

I actually dont have the time to count everything up but if you are intressted in the game anyway, look it up and make sure you like it. Else you should not waste your time on it.

At the launch of the game, I found it very enjoyable (I would have given it a 7/10), but now it's far from the same thing. If you're intrested and want to get into a DoTA based game. I recommend you to check this game out, (it's free!), but I would recommend you to try out the others first.

4/10, because it's far from what I expected in the beginning.

The game HASN'T GOTTEN ANY BETTER throughout the years. The only thing that changed is the amount of skins and champions. Instead of adding variety to the game, they removed it. They also removed solo-queue recently and replaced it with that new game mode called "carry, or get carried by the eloboosters", where you can queue up with your friends and increase your personal elo rating (notice how queuing with friends = personal rating o.0).

Furthermore, the community in this game has the mental capacity of a 5 year old. If somebody bullies us, we tell the teacher. Obviously Riot has taken advantage of that situation and permabans accounts at the drop of a hat. This benefits both the 5 year olds (who are happy the bully got banned) and obviously Riot (who is basically scamming their customers, taking away what they paid for). But the community is so overwhelmed by the hatred for their fellow co-players that they don't realize they're acting like sheep. Overall, a great atmosphere.

I give this game a 4, but honestly as a veteran player and gamer I'm really disappointed by Riot Games, as I am by most North American publishers lately. Too greedy. My suggestion would be to actually play the game but NEVER spend any money. Also, do not take it very seriously, especially while playing ranked.

To say honestly, Lol is really easy game, with worst MOBA community. Graphic is old, and don't fit me. People are vulgar, and unfriendly. Pay to Win system ruins everything. 25% of champions are overpowered (and expensive), and 75% are weak. Altough, game is playable, and when you spend there a lot of money, it will give you fun.

Let's be honest, this game has the worst multiplayer community of this current generation. It is terrible that you have to pay for the heros that are actually worth playing, how hardcore everyone is, and how difficult it is to understand what's going on.

The game has plenty of action in the pro scene, but it's not exciting and gets tired after awhile.

In conclusion, a pretty bad game.

This game kept me wondering for a while if I liked it or not. My first impression was good, in my opinion it has a big potential, the F2P model applied here is simply one of the best I've seen in a game. The game itself is fun, even in it's repetitiveness. There's so much content in here to keep you around for days.

I played it for quite a long time but finally I ended up hating it. Now it makes me sad to say that I really hate this game. I do not think it is the game itself that is not good, I do not believe it. It's the community and the way it is managed that is horrendous. Players are just bad people. When I quit playing I decided this game just takes out the worst of everyone who plays it. And that is sad, 'cause the game was sometimes funny.

The game itself, nontheless, has some really big defects that I just cannot explain to me:
    - why keep playing in just two or three maps? Why can't we have some more choice about the battlefield? We have so many heroes to choose between, why do we have just a single map to play a certain game mode? Do not tell me this is the MOBA style, because it seems to me it's just an excuse to develop less game content...
    - why developing the ingame chat? What's the use of it, apart from insulting team mates and distracting from game action?
    - what's the meaning of the really overabused surrender option? Why is there?

I just cannot understand these aspects of the game and I think they just make the game bad.

My final response: if you're a kid that cannot stand a defeat in a win/lose game and you enjoy insulting everyone who plays with you, this game is just for you. Enjoy.

I have been playing this game for nearly 3 years now, and I have to say that I don't like the state that the game is currently in and the way it is going. LoL had its best times in season 2, but since then continually got worse. I was deep into the pro scene and ranked at high platinum, so I do have some insight into the game.
First off, this game is rather easy to get into if you compare it with other MOBA's. The reason why most MOBA players consider LoL rather "easy" is because the gameplay is very straightforward. It removed things like denying (killing your own creeps), destructible environment (trees), different shops etc. compared to its spiritual ancestor "DotA". Which is not a bad thing at first. The problem however is, that the developers removed every other demanding tactical element of the game one after one:
-New champions and reworked older champions become one trick ponys; almost no champion allows different playstyles anymore because there is one way of building/playing him that makes all alternatives pointless. Players call this "meta" and Riot (the developers) more and more enforce said meta, which I consider a bad thing, since it strongly limits your playstyle, forcing you into roles, itembuilds, etc.
-The itempool is extremely limited at the moment. Compared to DotA, the items in LoL lack some form of uniqueness. Over the past seasons, the developers continually removed items that were out of line or too weak. Newer items were useless in most cases. There are items that simply do nearly the same thing, with one item being superior however. There are items that just fit certain roles and types of champions too perfectly. All this leads to a poor diversity in itembuilds: You will see ADC's build the same items in 9/10 cases, you will see midlaners build one of two itemcombos 10/10, you will see toplaners get the same 2 items in 9/10 cases. Junglers and supports get enforced on specific "support" and "jungle" items, as even the developers call them. And at least 30% of the items you will almost never see built by any semi-experienced player.
This combined leads to overall very thin item diversity between all players that played enough games to understand at least a bit of the meta, and increasingly thin champion diversity the higher the level of play is. As an example, within a typical week of LCS, the eSports league of the game, you will see (from a pool of 120 champions) around 60-70 of them being not picked at all, 30-40 of them being picked 1 or 2 times, and around 20 being picked or banned almost every game. This differs between roles aswell, midlane and jungle have the most "viable" champs, while there are at the moment only 3-4 viable toplaners and marksmen. This is because of serious issues in balancing. The game designers fail at balancing at a reasonable level, which is why you will see certain champions being catapulted up and down in strength on every patch, which happens way too often. Why spend money on a skin for a certain champion when he can become completely unviable or reworked within the next month?
Also, the developers flattened out the champion power overall compared to "DotA". You wont see any gamebreaking abilites, extreme manacosts or 1vs5 hypercarrys when extremely fed. This is at first not a bad thing, as it leads to a higher need for teamwork, but it also has disadvantages: The game is sometimes too forgiving, and a vast portion of tactic in laning phase is removed, often reducing it to pure mechanical skill. Especially the current meta in pro play is extremely boring, super safe lanes that do nothing but farming gold from minion kills until the 20 min mark, and then the game breaking down in 2 or 3 importan teamfights. (for example the developers made it unworth to get objectives (epic monsters and towers) in early game, even when most of the community and pro players told them it was a bad idea)
All this champion and item problems lead to the developers only being able to balance the game by numbers, which often results in said meta enforcing and poor diversity.
    Other aspects of the game:

+ paying model is fair and functional
+ runes add to strategy and diversity
+ the eSports scene is big and accesible
+ the game is especially fun with friends and has some different gamemodes for casual players
+/- graphics look more and more stale, being mostly unupdated since 3 years, but the game runs very smooth as a result
    - the community is at least 50% immature flamers that all want you to get cancer on doing a mistake, report you if you play bad and all did your mom
    - the developers dont really care about the community, especially on the EUW shard. The forum has almost no developer communication at all.
    - the servers have frequent problems
    - more and more players consider the game to be on a downhill trend, also some retired pro players
    - event content is more and more often effortless
    - the banning system is poorly functional
    - the air client is outdated and unstable

Second, the balancing is horrible, I really can't believe they have a PBE server to test things, almost every new champ or item brought to live server

You do get currency fairly quickly to buy new heroes if you are at least half decent, and there is plenty to choose from. However they all have a fairly generic feel with few exceptions. Also, after a little over 50 matches I don't think I've gone more than 2 consecutive matches without trolls going off on some offensive rant on me or team mates. Seriously sometimes you feel like you're playing with the Taliban or ISIS or something. It's best just to ignore your team all together unless they're being friendly or you know them already.... unless you're the type of person who feeds on being trolled on and insulted for minor things. Graphics are pretty much a notch above farmville quality. Sound is okay but not memorable. Control response is fairly abysmal.

Overall, I give this game a 4 out of 10. It's got a good concept, but its slowness, community, and lack of responsive controls is a turn off for me. I respect those who enjoy this MOBA, however it's just not for me and I guess I just don't "get it" as to why it's so popular.

I have played the game for about 3 years now (climbed my way to the rank of Gold 2), and I finally uninstalled it a few months ago with no intentions of returning. It is an excellent time sink if you have literally no other game to play. I've played for hundreds of hours solo and with friends, and wasted plenty of money on useless cosmetic skins (protip: do not do this ever, it is a slippery slope.) I have a few friends who justify spending upwards of 20 dollars just to change the clothes their champions are wearing. Many of these microtransactions are completely ridiculous and overpriced, yet Riot seems to get away with it since their playerbase doesn't seem to care in the slightest.

Furthermore, in recent additions to the game, not only did they increase the base IP(points that you gain through playing the game that can be spent on unlocking champions) that new champions cost, they made the past five or six champions incredibly overpowered. I speculate that this chain of events took place in order to drive up their sales by forcing people to either use almost 10 hours worth of IP to unlock the champion, or shell out about 10 bucks to unlock the champion. Whether or not this was their intention, this practice seems exploitative of the consumers, as by the time these champions drop in price they have been through several nerfs and revisions that make them far less powerful.

Overall, as a consumer I can not recommend this game to anyone. It's guise of free-to-play comes with caveats, the community as a whole is incredibly rude and unwelcoming, and the gameplay is a bit shallow, with it's strict, repetitive metagame that Riot encourages players to follow to a T.

Credit where it is due, though, I have not really experienced too many game breaking glitches, and matchmaking is OK at best. However, due to the lack of perceivable fun in the game, I have decided to score it thusly.

Resources are simplified to gold while champion's are able to spend that gold for different items, I'm sure that sounds familiar to most of gamers.
Now let's review pros and cons of this particular game -
    Pros :
    1) Good quality of art
    2) Simple control ( 4 major skills are correlate to QWER buttons )
    3) Simple & attractive concept
    4) Broad range of different champions to choose from
    Cons :
    1) Game client is unstable, especially for Mac, game often freezes, crashes
    2) Network protocol is chatty , lags due bandwidth limitations are happens
    3) Free to play concept has a tricky part e.g. powerful champions would cost you real money
    4) Champions are unbalanced, some champion's skills dubious e.g. allows exploits/abuses
    5) Some players exhibits hostile behaviour however game engine does not utilize any means of protection against that. For example players could deprive each other of resources since game does not reward according to efforts e.g. the person who made last blow to monster, enemy champion, tower etc receives rewards instead of sharing proportional to total damage.
    6) Many skills are created specially to give advantage to AI bots e.g. 1 second shield which restores mana upon being broken by enemy spell etc.
In general, game is really shallow, which is unfortunately provides a huge boost to it's popularity - if you are searching for a long term game this game is probably a bad choice. If you want to enjoy this game, do not hesitate to spent at least 100 dollars for Riot points and do not start from champions with difficulty higher than six :)

League of Legends is a game about communication, skill and teamwork. Here are a few questions that you should ask yourself before even considering playing it:

Do you have at least 3 friends you know you will be playing with regularly?
Are you willing to invest hundreds of hours into a game that takes around 30 minutes to finish?
Can you accept that in the best case (if you have experience in competitive games, can work well in a team and respond quickly to the actions of all other 9 players) you will win 55-60% of the games that you play?
Are you able to cope with toxic behavior on a regular basis without engaging in pointless arguments?

If the answer to any of the above questions is "No", then please don't even start playing this game.

As I mentioned above, if you are good at the game (and statistically half of the players are not good at the game) you will only win a little more than half of your games. The only way you can enjoy this game is by acknowledging the fact that in at least 30% of the games there will be nothing you could have done by the end of the game to help win it. This of course works both ways: In 30% of the games the scale will tip significantly in favor of one of the two teams. As a result 60% of the games will either be an easy win or almost certain loss, leaving only 40% where there is some challenge. This is when you can truly enjoy the game and for some players the adrenaline from those 40% make up for the other 60% of lackluster experience.

It definitely does not help that because of the competitive nature of the game and the fact that every single person in the team must perform well in order to win the game, the game often ends up in a big argument between the players of the losing team (or sometimes even the winning team) which ultimately hinders their ability to work as a team and makes matters even worse. Even if you don't take part in those arguments you will be a witness to such behavior constantly, making those 60% even less enjoyable.

Retrospectively, League of Legends is a game that needs to be played for hundreds of hours to be appreciated but is fun only 40% of the time. Whether you are willing to sacrifice so much of your time for the enjoyment of those 40% is something that you need to decide for yourself. I think a score should represent the enjoyment that one gets from a certain game. LoL is not enjoyable every 6/10 games and enjoyable every 4/10 games, and as such I give it a 4/10.

This game was fun when it launched but not now. Heroes are mostly rip-off from DotA, making it looks like an alternative version of it which made for kids. It's hard to find an adult who treats you like a real human and talks with you without using any insulting word, community is pretty bad. Nevertheless, it's sad to see that a game like League of Legends wasted its potential.

Not many people actually enjoy this game and this game does nothing to relieve stress, rather, most people get more agitated and mad after playing.

    Cons:
    - Very negative and rude community. Will make fun of you for being new, bad, or simply for them playing bad themselves.
    - Horrible glitches and hit-boxes make the game extremely irritating and annoying to play.
    - Unforgiving team-based game where most of your team doesn't care and play selfishly, making you waste time and lose winnable games.
    - Unfair point system where the enemy team can gain points and you will lose points because someone on your team left or purposely loses the game for the team.
    - Matches are about 25-30 mins in average, a bit too long.
    - You can get punished and lose points for having connection issues.

    Pros:
    - Art is well done.
    - Not pay-to-win.
    - Easy to find matches.

Overall on paper you can list anything you want but in the end it's still a game and what matters most is the overall experience. The overall experience is quite bad and do not recommend this game to anyone. I had a 12 year old cousin that play this is the community told her "her mom should aborted her" and "suck my d*ck" a bunch of times because she was new to the game.

Downsides is the player community, the unfair ranked system (literally a coin flip, and you can only get higher if you are much better than your MMR, otherwise you will suffer), and also feeling slightly pay to win (I'm mostly winning if I buy riot points). Finished the game at platinum I after failing diamond promo for 5 times, mostly because of AFK / inting people. Balance team is terrible, most of them are not even playing the game, or if they do, they are low ranked. Every patch makes some champions broken, and some of them absolutely useless. I believe this game is doomed on a long run, maybe that's why Riot starting to invest into other genres.

    - Playing casually with friends is the most fun I can have in this game, anything else makes it a mental drain and a chore.
    - The Durability rework in Season 12 was one of the best decisions Riot have made. Unfortunately the game now feels like a low TTK mess where in the games are more or less over in the first 12 minutes.

    Cons:

    - New champions are NEVER fun to play against. They are poorly balanced and take away 1-2 bans from ranked games when there are continuously more champions being added.
    - New champions are being added when the other new champions are still lacking balance.
    - The matchmaking is horrendous. There is never a situation in which the game isn't a complete one sided stomp.
    - The roles aren't balanced. Jungle clearly has the most impact in the game and your chances of losing or winning highly depend on this.
    - Soft inting is clearly acceptable by Riot's standards as they make no effort to punish this

It crashes regularly in many and various ways. Sometimes you can queue for a game then have it crash right before the map loads. There is a "reconnect" button when you reload but it rarely works. The performance of the game is a joke. It consumes so much memory I had to turn the settings down to low to stop it from crashing my computer (which can normally run graphics intensive games at 1900X1200 on high settings - for example team fortress 2) Secondly, the game lacks even the most basic of features that are required. They only recently introduced a draft system which is a basic requirement for this genre of game. There is no built in voice chat so you have to use ventrillo, There are only two maps.

Thirdly, the pricing structure of this game is absurd. Sure you can technically play for free but you only have access to a random small selection of champions. If you decide to spend some money you can unlock a few more but even having spent 60-70 dollars you still do not own all the available champions. Add to this the fact that new champions are released every two weeks and you end up with a buggy, unfinished, imbalanced borderline scam of a game. Riot's business model seems doomed to failure as I can only imagine it revolves around housebound man children with too much disposable income who are notoriously fickle and will soon be moving on to the next shiny thing to waste their money on and children who beg their parents for mom's credit card to keep feeding their addiction to new champions and new skins.

In short the game looks fun and feels fun after a couple of games but it has no depth and even in it's shallow waters there is nothing but technical issues, balance issues, and a development team so incompetent they managed to make a game that is less reliable than any other pc release of the last 10 years.

Overall, this game is a waste of time and has left me regretting the small amount of money I spent on it for such little reward.

Almost every game matched against way stronger opponents. Most of the time they have played tons of more games than myself (100 wins against people with 1000's of wins). Also a solo player does not stand a chance because you will be matched against full premade teams (4-5 players) most of the time. Without friends to play with this is a game that should be skipped.

Well, if you intend on playing with players you're in for a rude awakening. League of Legends is plagued by quite possibly the most repulsive creatures of human society. In a strictly team-oriented game the possibility of one of your members being either a troll or an obnoxious 12 yearold who has caps-lock perpetually on is staggeringly high. Any merits this game may have is offset completely by the quality of it's community and there seems to have been little to no effort to fixing it. This game was amazing in beta and shortly after, since then it's spiraled down the drain. Top this off with developers that lie(They pride themselves on being transluscent but I've witnessed first hand them deleting an entire slew of red posts(red=riot staff, the developers) to cover up things that would ignite their playerbase. I would, under any other circumstance give this game a 9 or 10, but you will not believe how badly the community actually influences this game and I don't think I can properly express it in words as to why this game earned a 3 instead of a solid 10. You'd have to pick it up and play for a few weeks to understand just how impossible it is to play a team-centric game like LoL with the players it has. Expand

The matchmaking system is based on a so called 'ELO-rating' which should be an indicator of 'how good you are'. However, this system is only based on games won and games lost. I can safely say that 15 out of 20 games are one-sided slaughterfests, where one team completely dominates the other team (ie. the one team has at least 4 times more kills then the other, leaving that team overfed and the losing team has almost 0% chance to come back from it). Furthermore, if you do get a 'fair' matchup based on the average ELO of your team and the opposing team, you will still be pitted against teams who have way more wins on average than you have. This means that, if the matchmaking system finally puts you against people with around the same ELO, you can still lose pretty badly because the other team simply has more games played and thus way more experience with the game.

I have been playing this game for 2 years now and it seems like the broken matchmaking system only gets worse. Currently Riot has never acknowledged this problem even with countless treads about this subject on their forums, so it does not look like this problem will be solved anytime soon.

I could recommend playing this game for the first 10-20 levels of experience, but I will strongly advise everyone to not invest any money in this at all (or at least until this major problem is being dealt with). If you want to keep having fun during the first 10-20 levels you can make new accounts.

It is the same for hero builds, if you not play with exactly the same builds shown in popular guides people will blame you for everything.

Early game and mid game is fun, but when you get to level 30 the fun stops.

The LoL community is one of the worst I've ever seen. Don't matter if you are good or bad, if you win or you lose, there are people who won't stop complaining even before the match starts.

In a nutshell: Creatively bankrupt and a shameless cash-in.

LoL was the introduction to the LOMA/MOBA/ARTS genre for a huge amount of gamers, and for that it deserves at least a modicum of respect. It's a serviceable adaptation of DOTA with some quality of life improvements that were sorely needed back when DOTA was still a WC3 mod and Heroes of Newerth was still in development.

It's a serviceable adaptation of DOTA with some quality of life improvements that were sorely needed back when DOTA was still a WC3 mod and Heroes of Newerth was still in development.

However, in the current age of Dota 2 and HOTS, there is literally no reason to play this game. Dota offers a significantly deeper and more balanced experience, with a totally unlocked hero roster, in exchange for a barely steeper learning curve, while HOTS gives players that want a more casual alternative a faster, more exciting distillation.

There are also seriously shady things about Riot's development of League -- for example, the fact that one of Riot's early employees had control of a major community forum for DOTA, including a subforum for hero ideas, that was shut down shortly after the development of League started. Surprise surprise, many of the hero ideas that were in that thread found themselves incarnated as League heroes a couple years later. It's very clear that Riot has no original ideas of their own, and instead is devoted to just wringing as much money out of the concepts of DOTA as possible.

For me, the single fact that the hero roster is not available equally to all players kills the game (as it does HOTS). For proper balance in a Dota clone, you need the ability to pick from all the characters. But even if that weren't the case, there is literally no reason to play League instead of Dota. The only reason more people haven't made the switch is the sunk costs fallacy: once you've invested money into League, or any game, it becomes a lot harder to justify abandoning it.

Core gameplay elements were cut out, either for lack of effort or to dumb down the game such as attributes, creep denying or multiple unit control, while only a couple were added in that I don't even like, such as bushes or spell vampirism. Many early champions are cut+paste chimeras of old DotA heroes, such as Ashe or Amumu while newer heroes follow a rather straightforward formula of gap closers, auto attack buffs and defensive skill.

The worst feature of the game is the carrot and stick MMO incentive system, where you must play to earn persistent stat bonuses, new champions and other such bonuses. The reward treadmill these offer help to mask the shortcomings of the game for more casual players who can feel a sense of progression not by becoming a better player, but by having stronger bonuses or champions.

Ultimately, core weaknesses in the gameplay and grind system can make the game feel dull after a while, when playing I only play with friends and they've turned to only playing ARAM in order to spice up the stale gameplay. I'd say the game might be worth playing just to try out various champions, but with the hero rotation and unavailability of heroes to the average player it might be too difficult to. League isn't as weak an entry into the genre as say Rise of Immortals, but is overshadowed by more complete or compelling MOBAs such as Smite or DotA.

Alternatively you can use real money to unlock them as well which is borderline retarded since the game severely cripples new players' champion selection.

Secondly, you need to unlock runes as well which make your character stronger and those need to be unlocked again by playing a lot of games.
So not only do you have VERY limited champion selection, you also have weaker champions than everyone else.

How exactly am I supposed to enjoy a game that deliberately makes me weaker and only allows me access to a few champions ?

Yes the game may be fun once you've spend months learning the game and unlocking all the champions and runes but I wouldn't know because I don't have months to spend before the 'Start Game' button appears...

It is not us silly player simply reinstall your game which rarely if ever fixes anything. They released an ARAM map which most new computers have FPS fluxes and massive lag that is only fixed by toning down the graphics. In all honesty Riot simply does not know how to optimize a game.

There are countless bugs on champ release dates and old bugs resurface which in all honest makes me believe that the PBE server is just for making sure the new champ is powerful enough to drain the wallets of players.

Riot is a bunch of greedy Champions used to be 6300 which if you played solidly each month you could have the new champ by release if you wanted. Now they are 7800 and drop back down after a week. This was simply a ploy by Riot to get more money which I am sure they are doing.

    Riot works in 3 steps.

    1)Relase OP Champ
    2) Profit
    3)Nerf champ into ground

Morello is a joke. He is the head designer and main balance king and he is not even out of Silver. He is just an average joe. Why is he in charge of anything?

To address the kids who say this game is Pay 2 Win. You are right. Kids who say it is not. Get Riots sack out of your mouth. I will break it down simply for you to show you how it is Pay 2 Win.

There are 2 friends Mike and Joe. Mike has disposable income/Parents Credit Car and Joe barely makes rent/is Kenny McCormick

They both are still able to play the same amount of games.

Mike is able to buy EXP boosts and IP boosts as well as new champs on release, while Joe can only use IP to get champs.

Very quickly Mikes champ pool is huge as he has been able to use all IP on runes for his Rune pages while Joe doesn'thave a single page full of runes and only a few champs that he loves that have been nerfed and are no longer viable that he spent IP on.

Mike is already at a huge advantage to every other person like Joe who plays the game. It is very close to how professional sports are. More the best things. Which is why pro sports are somewhat stale.

THis game used to be fun but in short the game is too big for Riots britches and it is going to hell very quickly. Client is garbage and Riot is just exploiting their Players.

What is this? Riot is bringing back the rare X-MAS and Halloween Skins? I WONDER WHY!? TO MAKE MORE MONEY

Riot go yourselves. People of the Meta stay away from this game. Play anything else. FPS, DOTA2, Women, anything is worth your time more so than LoL.

The recipe is simple attracting naive people with an addictive character-unlocking system and bring them to play the exact same games over and over until they think they are having fun. This lobotomized community is the biggest pain in the ass I've seen in an online game, and I saw a lot of online game communities.
If you are a kid or a desperate virgin though, you may be able like all the half-naked characters this greedy development team release and the expensive skins they sell to make them even more naked.

League of Legends is the actual plague of online games, and more generally, of the whole gaming. A lot of online communities are now invaded by people who barely know how to play video games and who always choose the easy way to win the games they play. This "the easier the better" way of "gaming" is spreading and killing the real, good gaming.

Firstly ive been playing this game since its creation and I can say without any doubt the current state is the most unbalanced the game has ever been in its history. The current state of balance is laughable at best.

This leads nicely into the second point, there are 128 champs as of writing but only about 20 are actually viable for competitive play. This can easily be seen in game. With every game featuring mostly the same champs from the pool of 20 viable ones. The last 10 games I had for example I saw a Yasuo in all but 3 and in those 3 he was banned, a Mundo banned in 6 played in 3, Illaio banned in all but 1, Fiora banned in 5 played in 3. Oh and dont even think about picking one of the non viable champs unless you want to get flamed so much you set on fire.

Leads me into my 3rd point, the game has never had a good community, its always been ban. It comes with the territory but as of writing the player base is appalling. Its simply now at the point where I mute everyone at the games start if im playing solo que. But I wouldn't recommend playing solo que anyway, Full team pre made only if you want to get the most out of this game.

To sum it up I used to play 3-4 games a day and during the early period I actually put money into the game, Now I play 2 maybe 3 games a week with a full team. I have not spent a single dime on the game since those early days and I will not be spending any more on the game, until its fixed both technically and balancing.

Originally you could test this and that which made the game much more fun seeing how it turned out not anymore, due to these brainless kiddoes. Every game is more or less the same ,the game is boring and dull.

If it introduced a minimum ping barrier to prevent people with terrible pings it would benefit hugely.

The champions aren't nearly complex enough to spend a week playing, you tend to get pretty good after just a few games.

Now the game has a large competitive worldwide stage with large sums of money going into the game through sponsors and normal people trying to get to the top tier of the game they have no interest in making the game playable for anybody below the top two tiers.

If any sponsors decided to actually look at the game below the stage and streaming games they will see how rotten the game has become and the sheet the developer has put over it in an attempt to hide it.

The game play and graphics are good for a free game but if you are there to make friends then look elsewhere.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I have played this game for 3 years and now i can say:
The community is the most toxic community you can found in on-line competitive game.
90% of champions are heavily unbalanced,
The matchmaking is something of horrible,
Has many bug (also really easy to see),
If players use cheat, insult heavily and more, Riot 70% of time does not do anything (30% positive action is just vs the troll),
Next the runes update the game was literally more unplayable, all champion can one shot, it has become like a death match,
    Just the graphics as saved.

    Right:

    Worst community in mobas ever.

    Dead penalty system.

    Absolute absence of ballance.

Yasuo and set of buffed OP meta champs in every game, you cant pick any champ because all of the exept like 15-20 meta champs are complete **** and 90% lost game.
    5. The game stoped being enjoyable, it became irritating. Riot Games are working hard on destroying everything you loved, everything you've enjoyed. Remember your items flexibility when you could go for Athma, Leviathan, Heart of gold, Force of nature, Death FIre and so on and you loved it? Remember many different old assassins like Fizz, LB, AP Master Yi, Shaco and many more that you loved? When tanks were actually tanks? Remember the flexibility when you had many fun with possibility of going full ap or ad on the same character (like old Master Yi and Ezreal) because we had many hybrid champs.
Do you remember? Yes? Now **** you because Riot Games doesnt allow any fun in games - we remowed everything fun and good you had. Now we will be telling all of our players how they should play every champ, what items you should buy (because basicaly there is no real options of what you can buy, each game you buy all the same items on the same character). Tanks cant go old good 700 armor and become mobile tower. All old champions (espeshially assassins) are nerfed so that they wont do any damage. Tons of CC, every second character have skills with stun or grab effect. Why you need skill when you can have eternal stun until you die because you cant do **** at all.
Just suffer through worst moba experience ever with the same set of OP meta champs and no choise in enything - Riot chose everything for you.
Farm until death for new champions and free skins and hope that League become better (but it never will).

League was a great Game 6 Years ago, but today the Game gets only worse from patch to patch.

    The Balancing is awful

The engine feels extremely laggy, they should code the whole game new.

    The community is extremely toxic.

The Game is extremely addictiv and that's not good, u will spend money on the Game and u will be frustrated afterwards so pls dont try it out, it's not worth it.

So i played this game for a good while. As of the current state of the game:

Pros: - The game was worth a 10 star rating some seasons ago. - Kinda great when ahead. Cons: - Too much damage. - Balance and meta forced by Riot. (Buffs to champs often happen right before a new skin release!) - CertainlyT made champs - Toxic community (intentional feeding, flame for no reason) -

    - Objectives can be soloed to easily, and elder dragon execute is broken.
    - Matchmaking. Most games are just a stomp.
    - Ranked system is beyond bad and requires so much grind despite 80% of the games being decided by teammates.
    - not fun unless you play one of Riots favourite champs.
    - Smurfs ruining ranked.
    - Dragon Soul makes comebacks way too hard.

Tbh i guess i just played my last game of league... it just lost the quality it had. And today everything seems to oneshot you despite missing half their abilities. Getting oneshot in a second makes no sense considering the human reaction time and the duration of CC in the game.

Then we have the client which they said will be maintained and be better than the older... well its utter garbage it crashes almost every time, there are some bugs which an junior dev could fix but nooo the only thing they are constantly fixing is the shop if something isnt right so that the whales, krakens can spend the money on those PrEsTiGe skins and lame passes. I find that with League of Legends, Riot has cultivated one of the most unique spaces in gaming history—mostly for good reasons but also for some awful ones, and in the gaming museum of the future, League is sure to have its own wing.

League of Legends handles well the worst problem DOTA has: its autistic n00b-hating elite players. Thanks to match making, now we weaklings dare to play. [Nov 2011]

Improvements are constantly being updated and although team mates make or break many matches, there is genuine fun to be found.
