The story and plot were well written. In fact the story remains one of my favorites in the series after a little more than a decade. The only issue is that much of the story was obviously cut out before release. This gives the game a disjointed feel. The music is also excellent and always fits the setting well.

However these high points only cause the lows to stand out more. The controls are frustrating and takes far too long to get used to. Although tolerable after a short while, they still have far too many hiccups when trying to do something as simple as walk across a room. The game play could have also been more consistent. It feels as though the developers began adding in RPG elements, but ultimately abandoned the idea.

Overall, the game was obviously rushed to release in an unfinished status. It had the potential to be an excellent addition (by the more interesting story if anything else). However, the crude controls and rampant bugs. Make it so that many users cannot even enjoy said story.

TR:AOD is a great game! It features really good graphics (depth of field, reflections, shadows, etc.) and a very good gameplay. (it is just like the classic ones but more modern, just improved, and it also features some new elements like the strength etc.) The problem is that Eidos released it too early so that it is kinda incomplete (it is longeval enough, but it isn't enough to get a 6) and many features were removed.
Still, it's an amazing game. 6/10, recommended!

Not much new from the old games, just tarted up graphics and annoying controls, pick up a key, open a door, collect a bullets, nothing original, just the usual, great graphics.........well thats it.

It's a pretty good game so far controls are kinda iffy but the graphics are great but there is only one problem that makes me give it a 7 is the load time, around 3 min. for each load screen. I got a real good up to date comp. (AGP 64 MB videocard, 128 of RAM) I don't see why it does it but it does :(

The general story and atmosphere in this game was relatively interesting, but the whole game I had a feeling that the creators of the game were very stingy with the implementation of these stories and atmosphere. As if I had read a third-rate book with an interesting idea.

Çocukken oynayıp pek anlayamadığım ve beceremediğim oyunlardan. Mezarlık bölümü dışında pek hatırlamıyorum.

  1. Would have made 70% if not for the atrocious control system.
  2. Unlike previous Tomb Raider games that presented you with a handful of secrets items, areas, or unlockable bonus content, there is nothing here beyond the core game (no pun intended). There are no branching paths, multiple endings or any reason to replay the game anytime soon after your first pass.
  3. The controls handle like utter crap and will remain a continuous nuisance throughout the entire game. Seriously, when it comes to character control I've never witnessed such a badly managed a port.
