  1. While some may find it extremely difficult due to the emphasis on realism, Korea provides a healthy challenge best conquered by learning the game’s well-designed controls and interface.
  2. 75
It's challenging, the graphics are beautiful, and the gameplay is easy and accessible.
  3. For all that there really isn’t anything uniquely special about Forgotten Conflict, there are enough pieces of the gameplay, presentation, and creative license to keep the average player at least interested, if not downright entertained.
  4. Simple tasks like checking the dead for equipment isn't as easy as it should be and neither is working with the characters inventory. Again. the game's A.I. isn't very even as the game progresses and the sound is atrocious.
  5. An admirable effort of it with a beautiful 3D graphics engine, but, unfortunately, the end result is hampered by some frustrating gameplay, poor AI, and bugs.
  6. A worthy topic that may appeal to Korean War buffs, but this title will likely just frustrate the average gamer.
  7. 60
There are flashes of genius to be found in Korea: Hidden Conflict, but a lack of polish results in a strategy game that leaves much to be desired.

If you're the patient type, you may be able to tolerate the poor interface, ignore the sound, and find workarounds for the bugs, but most gamers will just become frustrated. It's a shame, there's obviously a very engaging and interesting game lurking under the mound of minor issues.
  9. At many times I found myself very frusterated by the extremely fast motion of the scrolling feature. Sometimes it seems as if it's impossible to find your men.
  10. 50
The controls, presentation and technology all let the game down. It is buggy, inconsistent and cantankerous.
  11. The dialogue in Korea can be offensive in its use of racial stereotypes in a failed attempt to be funny. The real joke's on the game itself. [Jan 2004, p.157]
  12. Cheat Code Central

I wish we could award some points for originality but although the concept may be unique, the gameplay is anything but.
  13. If you are willing to go around the many gamepleay weaknesses, however, and after several patches, you just might have a passable RTS experience on your hands. But chances are most of you won't tolerate the frequent technical issues, AI glitches, etc. Even though the game uses a unique setting, its lack of originality and gameplay depth might easily dissuade many gamers from playing.
  14. Computer Gaming World

All enemies are deaf and have the attention span of a spider monkey on crack. [Apr 2004, p.82]
  15. Computer Games Magazine

The incomplete A.I. and numerous bugs indicate that somebody was more concerned with getting the game on shelves before Christmas than providing a finished product. [Apr 2004, p.68]
