The King's quest series (as a whole) was not my favorite of the Sierra adventure games, however a few of them stand out as works of art. Let me rate each game individually please note I will judge the VGA remake versions as I they are vastly superior to the original versions:

    King's Quest 1= 7; King's Quest 2= 7; King's Quest 3= 6; King's Quest 4= 8; King's Quest 5= 9; King's Quest

King's quest 4 6 were by far the best of the series having some beautiful visuals and interesting puzzles. KQ 1 & 2 were nice but felt a little to simple (especially the original versions.) KQ 3 was just a little odd and felt almost like it didn't belong. KQ 7, while it had some pretty visuals and animations, it just felt like a dumbed down version of the last few games. Trying to do something new, but failing at it.

    Overall:
A decent series that is fun and enjoyable, and I can not fault the writing, as it is top notch.
