Well-designed role-playing game with strategy elements in an exciting dark fantasy setting.

The foundations have all been laid, the walls erected, now Legion IX just needs a roof and a coat of paint. Despite this, I would recommend this title to anyone unfamiliar with the Tactical RPG scene. It’s simple to learn and rewarding to master, with various difficulties that cater to every audience possible. If anything, I recommend switching the starting difficulty to hard, rather than normal, as this mode won’t challenge you (apart from some weird difficulty spikes near the end). So if you’re interested in history and fantasy, or even just want something that’ll make you think, King Arthur Legion IX is a great place to start.

Great tactical turn-based game that stands out with its aesthetics, setting and stylization. Who wouldn't want to play as zombie Romans in the conquest of mythical Avalon? King Arthur demonstrates that when you have good and enjoyable combat, you don't really need much else and don't have to artificially extend the gameplay to higher tens of hours.

King Arthur: Legion IX uses a strong foundation of engaging turn-based combat and a fantastic Rome-inspired setting to craft a compelling journey. Crashes and rough edges mean this is a war-weary Centurion, but it comes through with the hearts of many a lion, likely the ones felled in glorious gladiatorial combat.

The undead Roman legion in Avalon knows how to fight well. Although there are not many heroes and the management between missions is more modest, the legionnaires will prove themselves in a several-hours long campaign.
