It's a very good thing the combat is so enjoyable, because that's pretty much all there is. [PC Zone]
-
In the end, I can only express my disappointment, since kill.switch could have been one the best titles this year, if a little more effort would have been put into its development.
-
PC GamerA lot of fun in the short term. It's just a shame Namco didn't put more work into the graphics and more creativity into the mission design to give it some legs. [July 2004, p.73]
-
The mechanics for ducking and getting behind cover are well done, and the premise is a good one. Unfortunately, that's all kill.switch really has going for it.
-
An overpriced PC conversion of a gimmicky console game. The gimmick is its offensive fire system, which allows the heavily armed protagonist in this third-person shooter to fire around corners and use cover as a tactical asset.
-
Oddly entertaining, but still short, stunted, and with zero replay value.
-
Sure, its cheap and cheerful, but considering the talent behind the port we cant help but feel let down.
-
Cheat Code CentralAlmost all the enemies present a similar challenge level. Consequently kill.switch becomes redundant which isn't helped by the lack of a fully realized storyline.
