May 7, 2025KIBORG is an ode to old beat-em-ups but in a roguelike setting. Even though the arenas are a bit bland, especially at the start of the game, the implant mechanic is fun enough to keep you invested just to see what you can build next. If you can forgive the overall blandness and the horrid voice acting, there is fun to be had with KIBORG. And it runs surprisingly well on a Steam Deck.

Jun 18, 2025Overall, I had a great time with KIBORG. It has good melee combat, along with parries, dodges and intense shooting. It’s also not very expensive, which makes it even easier for me to recommend it. And yes, it has a lot of replay value, thanks to its roguelite approach. I think it does a lot of things right, and while it won’t win any awards, it’s definitely one of those titles that you come back to over and over for one more run.

May 5, 2025At times, fighting for your life on a dystopian reality show pushes the 3D brawler into a curious direction. But at present, Kiborg stumbles with ranged combat and balance, surviving thanks to an overly generous lock-on system and roguelike power-ups.

Apr 30, 2025This is a game that has a pile of problems, thankfully, the core combat loop is so satisfying that those problems take a backseat to all the brutal fun you are having.
