BoomtownA refreshing newcomer in the world of adventure gaming.
-
There are other minor niggles, but none should detract from the surprisingly entertaining experience that Keepsake offers.
-
For those of you who are fans of sitting down and getting wrapped up with a decent puzzler that will keep you entertained and guessing, this is one worth giving a run.
-
The puzzles are fun without being too daunting and there is an intriguing mystery to solve which is your ultimate goal. There is a gentle and poignant story and with a name like Keepsake you may be surprised to learn that one of the themes is about letting go.
-
Although nothing about Keepsake sparks the furnace of mind-blowing innovation, it is still a well designed and thoroughly compelling game that traditional adventure game enthusiasts of any skill level can dive into and love every second of.
-
With all of its mysticism, strange but curious creatures and dazzling surroundings, 'Keepsake' will be a sure-fire hit with the Harry Potter crowd if they don't mind exercising their wits as well as feasting their eyes.
-
I just hope you will enjoy it as much as I did and if you start playing it, please try to finish it, so you could experience the really emotionally touching ending, reminding you about one of the best human emotions. Love.
-
For puzzle adventure fans especially kids this game can't possibly miss. Definitely worth a look if you like mysteries as well.
-
What with gorgeous graphics, sumptuous music, compelling story, elegant interface, and a really well conceived hint system, it stands out from the pack.
-
Pelit (Finland)A fantasy-filled adventure with an extraordinarily magical atmosphere. The puzzles are great, the interface is simple but good, and the school of magic is terrific. Although there is too much running back-and-forth, Keepsake is an adventure worth playing. [May 2006]
-
It has a couple of problems here and there (like odd echoes to the dialogue), but it sports a couple dozen intriguing puzzles, it’s well made, and it’s well acted.
-
Keepsake is a very enjoyable game for the most part, although you may find yourself pulling your hair out at times. You should definitely give this game a try, if only for the beautiful graphics and design.
-
Strong, challenging puzzles, a perfect hint system, and an intriguing story makes Keepsake one of the better adventure games to come out in a while.
-
In all, Keepsake may not redefine the genre; the graphic adventure genre is definable by its tenets and only its mechanics seem to change from game to game. Still, this game is fun, very attractive, offers an excellent story and a ton of puzzles.
-
An enjoyable adventure experience, with few technical flaws and shortfalls.
