I received the game as a Gift and didn't expect much. I have never even seen a JP movie before.. But I like Sim/Management Games and Dinosaurs... To my surprise, the game is quite fun. (58hrs) It's a Good Game.. Not Great but Good. If you like Sim/Management, I think you will like it.. I own it on two different platforms...

First of al I wanted to say that I was a big fan of Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis, although it was not developed by Frontier, I would say it is fair to compair those two games with each other, because the premise is basically the same: Build a park, put dinosaurs in the Park, satisfy your customers and DO NOT let your customers get eaten by the attractions.

Let's start with with the things I liked about Jurassic World Evolution. Pretty much every aspect of the game that has to do with the big ol' thunder lizards feels great. They look magnificent when they roam through their habitats. You can practically feel the heavy weight of each different dinosaur with every step they make and that was one of my main expectations, because I love to watch the dinosaurs in their habitats drinking, eating and socialize with one another. Although the dinosaurs interact with each other (If they are of the same species) I would have loved it if this was more elaborate, e.g. I missed the territorial battle of herbivores like the Triceratops or Pachycephalosaurus which was a thing in JPOP, but also new stuff like Interactions of dinosaurs who aren't of the same species, like shouting at each other, right now you can get the feeling that they don't perceive the other dinosaurs even if they are in the same habitat. The exception is of course with carnivores, they fight (at least), if they are put together. Summarized the dinosaur look and feel great but there could be more fine tuning.

Let's move to the parts which I didn't I like in Jurassic World Evolution.
The complexity of the park management is pretty much not existent. Basically you can choose out of three options what your different shopping or food places should sell and the price. That's it. The park pretty much manages itself, which is a little odd for a park management game.
The next point which bugged me is, that you have to place the service buildings (restaurants, shopping buildings etc) near your observing plattforms at the dino habitats so your, obviously shortsighted, visitors can fulfill their needs. This leads to repititive layouts at every habitat and lack of space in the anyway small building space that you have. I would have found it more apealing if the builidngs have more range so you can have build "service islands" like in JPOG, and have more space to build more habitats, which is the exciting part anyway.

    Conclusion:
I am aware of that many people wanted a more strategically deeper gameplay like other Tycoon Games and honestly I would not complain about that either. But my main expections were, like I said, the Dinosaurs and that expection was fulfilled.
So I can say, for every little John Hammond of you, who wants to spare no expenses to build their own Jurassic Park just to look at the magnificent creatures who roamed the earth 85 billion years ago, I can say go for it. I had 40 hours of fun gaming time befor the first fatigue came and I paused the game for a bigger time.
But for players who wanted a stragically challenging game with a nice prehistoric flare to it, I must advise against this game and refer to other representatives of this genre.

Can't understand the 10/10 reviews, it's simply nowhere near perfect 10. This game is frustratingly disappointing.

Great visually, great choice of dinosaur. But come on, it's dinosaurs, was always going to be popular based on that alone. As a park creation and simulation, it's terrible - Not much choice of building, no decorative options to make parks unique, too much micro managing

As a park creation and simulation, it's terrible - Not much choice of building, no decorative options to make parks unique, too much micro managing of menial jobs (Seriously, if it was a real park and I had rangers sitting on their ass until I physically told them to go and feed the animals, every. single. time, I would fire their ass)

Speaking of food, the dinosaurs eat a lot and don't poop at all. Theres no interaction with customers at all, don't hear their views, opinions, what they like, what they don't blah blah blah

And the different divisions are nonsense, they contradict themselves and just seem thoughtlessly thrown in to give the game "Missions".

Sending expeditions and harvesting fossils is dull and too easy - also, where are the baby dinosaurs?

    Dinosaurs have no personalities whatsoever.

I don't feel like i'm running a Dinosaur zoo at all as the managerial side of things is so thin.

In my opinion, it feels lazy as the developers know it will sell for the fact it has dinosaurs

If you were to swap out the dinosaurs for normal animals and call this a zoo simulator, it would be laughable. The fact it's dinosaurs is covering for this games flatness - Absolutely gutted that Frontier were given this chance and absolutely crapped on it.

That's what i wanna see! As a dino lover, i habe to love this game. It has amazing graphics, nice music, and it offers a little challenge to handle all dinos with their specific requirements. Of course it could be better, it may get a little boring after a while, but that is compensated with a variety of gamemodes and diffuculties.

what is the game about? What will you do? Well you will be sending your teams on expeditions to get fossils, then you will be extracting these fossils in order to incubate new dinosaurs. You're going to provide basic care to these dinosaurs (curing them of diseases, feeding them). You are also going to be doing quests for science, entertainment and security departments in part to unlock new buildings, in part to unlock new story. You're going to try and keep these three sides sufficiently satisfied so that they don't sabotage you.

As this is going to be the first game that I'm going to rate this low in these series, let's start from the good:

Both flying and riding around to do things by yourself is very satisfactory. It's fun to take photos of your dinos, especially when you just unlocked a new dino species. The game world looks beautiful and it is voice acted by the original actors!

Now let's proceed to the bad. And boy does the bad feel bad for me.

Everything is time gated. And at the start it's not too bad, but the longer you play, the longer you have to wait. In order to research things you first have to unlock them, then pay money, then wait. First the timer starts at 3 minutes, but the higher the research the longer the wait. On the second island I'm waiting 5-6 minutes for my research to complete. You sent your science team on an expedition? 2 minutes. You want to extract DNA from a fossil? 39 seconds. It does not help that a lot of quests that I encountered require waiting as well. "Make sure that nothing bad occurs in the facility for 10 minutes". Well that is easy. All I have to do is set the game playing and tab out. Oh and there's no way to speed up time. So majority of this game you play like a mobile game - by waiting.

The game feels unnecessarily grindy. As most of your game is now spent waiting, it gates you further. For example on the second island you can not do the story for the island until you raise research, entertainment and security nearly 40% up. Do a mission for research, you'll drop the other two. So you'll be grinding missions that for the most time will either be brain-numbingly easy to complete (send out an expedition!), or just entail... You guessed it! More waiting.

Worst things out of the way, this game really provides no management elements. You don't have any control outside of placing very basic buildings.

Smaller elements - even your only aesthetic choice - dinos - is heavily gated. When you unlock skins for dinos, and these will be research/ mission based, you can't even apply them to all dinos.

    Overview:
honestly, worst thing? The endless amount of waiting. There's so much real life waiting in this game that it feels like a mobile game. And at first you do not feel it, but the further you go into the game the worse and worse it gets. Outside of that the rest of the game is quite shallow and definitely in need of updates. There's pretty much no park management aspects at all! It feels like this game should be in early access. At the moment I will rate this 3/10. I feel like the game could be improved by either giving us more things to do while we wait, or by getting rid of that waiting mechanic. Either way at a price point of 45£? Currently I can not recommend it.

I think I narrowed down why Jurassic World Evolution feels like a shallow tycoon game:

I tried to remember what I do in a zoo tycoon game:

    1. I try to get the enclosures absolutely perfect for each species. In old zoo tycoon games that meant that there's good 10 types of soil and for example a bear will want a very specific mixture of 5 for it to feel just perfect. I feel like getting the environment right for dinosaurs is incredibly easy.
    2. I would track my visitor happiness, their opinions on the park and their opinions on every enclosure. "That bear looked depressed". Well why did my bear look depressed? Does it need a mate? Did I remove its children too fast? Is the new bear not fitting in with the rest of the hierarchy well and in turn I will have to move them? Jurassic World Evolution has none of this. If anything people are some sort of sadists getting entertainment out of watching the dinos fight, or seeing a live goat get eaten.
    3. I would breed my animals. They had to feel happy to breed, they had to feel like they belong in a social group and take well to their partner. That was hard to achieve, but seeing the little cubs was worth it. I've been to see the new Jurassic World movie. One of the cutest things was seeing a Trike baby with a Trike mother in a cage. The sequences of baby Blu were made into a big deal. Ever since Jurassic World 2 we know that due to the bullfrog gene, some female dinosaurs transformed into male, therefore they can naturally reproduce. Yes there's not a single baby animal in Jurassic World Evolution.

Animation is so limited, that JPOG had more animations in comparison.

Big meat eaters, they do nothing but eat, and only eat.

Herbivores, also do nothing but eat, and move around without any purpose, just the most boring screensaver i ever seen, thats what it feels like.

Cant click on guess, limited buildings, no decorations, and the maps are way too small. I mean REALLY small.

This game would be amazing if it was 20 bucks in a bargain bin....

I am a major fan of JPOG and the franchise itself but man, Frontier did you fire everyone who made planet coaster so good? Clearly is not the same people working on this game.

Jurrasic World Evolution is a Tycoon styled game where youre tasked with running your own Jurassic Parks…
There are 6 total islands here to unlock all with their own challenges, such as dealing with an island that gets frequent storms, or turning a failed park into something profitable…
And to unlock these islands you first have to prove yourself in the islands prior…
to do so youll be juggling your science, entertainment and security…
as your doing your thing, building your park.. youll get constant tasks that reward you with cash that will be something along the lines of building a certain facility, hatching a certain dinosaur, or taking pictures…
this cash will go tawards building items in your park as well as excavating and unlocking upgrades..
excavation is another great opportunity to earn some cash..
you git a list of possible fosils, your team goes out collects the fossils, brings them back and you can then extract them and make progress towards a genome for that dinosaur species. Biut youll also get materials you can sell for high prices…
its not quote as simple as just build a park and keep your guests happy though..
you also have to keep your dinos happy..
make sure they have food to eat, give them plenty of room to roam around, make sure theyre comfortable so that they aren’t constantly breaking their fences which gets annoying as youre trying to chase ratings, keep everything calmed balanced and organized, they’ll get into fights, so youll have to find ways to separate, they’ll get sick, they’ll die.. so you have to heal them and transport dead dinosaurs out of the park..
it’s a little annoying though that there isn’t an option to sortve automate things like in a roller coaster tycoon where you hire workers, drop them into the world and they automatically fix things and clean
you have to go to problem areas yourself and then command your team to heal, fix, tranqulize a lose dinosaur before they eat too many guests and transport them back to their living area..
it is cool that you are able to just take control of the vehicles completely to get a 3rd person perspective of your park if youd like.. which does give you more incentive to actually create something cool..
though sometimes youll have to if for example a storm knocks out the power to their station..
they cant be commanded, but you can go out and fix things yourself..
as you do unluck new areas youre free to revisit your old islands and use its recourses to unlock new buildings for example or mutations to alter your dinosaurs before you hatch them…
your unlocks and fosils carry from island to island.. it isn’t constantly starting over which I appreciate..
the only thing that doesn’t carry over is your cash…
but again youre able to send out temas from other islands and save the fosils they find to sell on your new island if youre really hurting for cash..
but the park is running real time in the background so you might find yourself having to fix things up again before you return
Jurrassic World Evolution offers a decent challenge and tons of fun in creating and trrying to run a successful park..
This is a game that you don’t necessarily have to even be into the series to enjoy..
Theres something here for just flat out dinosaur fans or tycoon management fans..
this is a great game no matter which of those 3 reasons youre coming in for
    I give Jurassic Wordld Evolution
    an 8/10

Im a fan of Frontier and what they did with Planet Coaster. That was a very deep simulation behind the cartoony characters and had loads of depth to keep even the most discerning sim fan entertained. Is it fair to compare a studios previous work with their current offering? Probably not but its going to happen anyway.

With that in mind if you are expecting Planet coaster with Dinosaurs you will be disappointed. The game looks fantastic. From the way the dense foliage looks and moves to the very ‘planet coaster like’ tourists and park staff. The dinosaurs are superb looking creations and I started to identify with each and every one that I ‘incubated’. I understand you can change their names which I will likely do when I get more into the game but ultimately its lacking the depth of Frontiers previous work.

The constant pop ups from the departments and Mr Finch are a little annoying when you first start out as it’s a bit of an information overload but once you get into the swing of things and start to relax, they become less intrusive and most can be largely ignored (mostly the film actors which seem like they are there for a film tie in only and offer no information that affects your game play)

The missions/contracts (at least for the first few hours) seem repetitive and largely involve getting certain dino’s to 50%+ genome (the games way of quantifying the quality of the clone of dino) or involve upgrading type of building. I assume this is a way of teaching you the basics.

In terms of park management there’s isn’t actually a lot to do. There is no interaction with the tourists and there are no features/set dressing you can do other than painting down trees, water and terraforming. Looking at other reviews, this may be coming in a later DLC.

Buildings wise, these are split into categories such as operations, guests, enclosures etc with sub categories within those. The buildings are very Jurassic park/scientific looking which I think fits well and graphically look ok but very ‘static’ with no sense of life going on in them.

The real meat of the game seems to be the creation of the Dinos. Not all are unlocked at the start and its your main goal to start unlocking them by sending your helicopter off on dig team expeditions. That’s where the gameplay on the expeditions stops, as you simply wait for your team to arrive back (typically in around 5 mins time) carrying a number of fossils that you can extract various DNA from to create new DInos or improve the quality of the ones you already have.

Overall im enjoying the game. Its not a very deep simulation unless you want to really get into each Dino type, theres no interaction with park ‘life’ but yet I find the hours drifting away while playing. Its clear that there could be loads more content or features added at some point and that the release simply had to tie in with the film. Here’s hoping for more content to the great foundations that Jurassic world evolution currently is.

First off, how much money are Frontier in debt for those voice-overs and licenses? Because really, a $55 retail game with 0 campaign, no modding support and no island creator?

Jurassic World Evolution 'campaign' isn't in-depth at all and it lacks story telling, it's very repetitive which in general will force people to get bored of the game. And of course, just like in the movies you have idiotic people in-game saying, 'We should make these Dinosaurs fight each other for research.' Really? What is that going to accomplish?

Is it worth $55 or $60 dollars, no. Jurassic World Evolution looks like a Steam Early Access title that was released early to take advantage of sales of the newest Jurassic World movie.

    Pros:
    - Great engine
    - Art/detail
    - Music and sound effects
    - Weather
    - Drivable vehicles
    - Sandbox island (sadly it's small with boundaries)

    Cons:
    - In-game shops/stores can't sell all the items the store as to offer and than individual control each items price. Instead you have to choose 1 item, what?
    - Sandbox isn't even a gamemode, you have to create a new campaign save in order to get access to Sandbox.
    - Chris Pratt in-game character is not voice-over by Chris Pratt... Why include his icon, character and backstory in the first place?
    - Rangers don't have the ability to tranquilize a Dinosaurs.
    - Having to call in a helicopter to transport a small Dinosaur, really? Why not call in a transport truck?
    - Frontier made and published this game, but yet they didn't include nothing from Planet Coaster to this game. For one, first person viewing in rides and viewing the map as a visitor and not as a creator.

    Campaign
    - Campaign? You can't go passive and just have a park with random events. You have to go full psycho and make Dino's fight each other, etc. If I could, I would fire my whole team in-game.
-- Speaking of the "campaign." It's repetitive. Go hear to fix a power outage, go here to take a picture, make new Dinosaurs, make Dinosaurs fight each other and make Dinosaurs get outside of their comfort zone, etc.

    AI
    - You can't tell the AI helicopter to hover in place, come back in a minute and the helicopter is landing back at base.
    - Activate the Shelter, AI don't go inside the Shelter. Instead they running around in circles or walk.
    - AI randomly go through fences and Dinosaurs AI randomly go through fences as well.

    Dinosaurs
    - Dinosaurs? For one Velociraptors are too strong? They can literally break down a electrically fence?
-- Tranquilize a Dinosaur, they don't wake up until you get a helicopter to move them.
    -- No water Dinosaurs?
-- The aggressive Dinosaurs don't attack the vehicles inside the enclosure.

    Islands
    - Islands? Pretty limited, a lot of islands in the "campaign" have boundaries.
-- Sandbox island is small with boundaries.
-- Islands don't connect to each other to share profits, etc but somehow you can share the same research.
-- I shouldn't have to have a loading screen per island or a crap island animation video in general. Frontier you implemented Monorails in the game, why not put the person in the Monorail for the loading screen? 2 loading screens aren't needed.

    Monorail
    - Monorail? If you research for the monorail you can't make it connect to the main monorail that brings in visitors.
-- You can't put monorail tracks outside of the island boundaries... Even though you own the island.

    The Good:
    1. It's Jurassic Park.
    2. Gorgeous graphics
    3. A lot of busywork. Some people REALLY hate this, but for people like me, it's a plus.
    4. Time-filler. I had no idea I was playing it for six hours straight today.
    5. Straightforward UI and menus
    6. Immersive environments
    7. Progressive collection system
    8. Watching my dinos roam is very relaxing

    The Bad:
    1. The guests don't give an F. They're bland, they lack character, and they show no emotion unless running from dinos or storms. This makes the world at large seem blander as well.

    2. No story. I love JP so much, and I really wanted a tie-in story campaign. Sadly, it doesn't exist.

    3. No unique dinosaur behaviors. The raptors don't work together to solve problems like in the movies. They just walk around and chatter. The T-Rex doesn't try to break out and destroy a jeep. It just walks in circles. This makes every dinosaur seem... kind of boring. I thought they would at least chase my ACU chopper and ranger jeep when in the enclosures (like, you know, in the game's trailer). Nope. They just stand there. They don't even try to sneak out the gate.

    4. Sometimes the little frustrations can be fun, but other times, you really just want to pull your hair out. On Matanceros, I loved riding my jeep around to manually do tasks, but eventually it got repetitive and less fun. On Muerta I hated my raptors. I almost sold every one of them. Not a single storm went by without them breaking out. This was before I had tougher fences.

    5. I had no idea what the Management View menu was, or what it was for, until I reached Tacano. Which is a bit ironic, because I must not have needed it at all. Still, it would have been nice to understand what it was so I could fully grasp why I wasn't reaching five stars.

    6. There's no way to know a dino's comfort needs until you release them from the lab. This seems like a HUGE oversight, because you're truly unable to plan ahead for what it might need. For example, I released three Dracorexes into a pen filled with a bunch of other herbivores, and they freaked the F out because it was too crowded. They all broke out and injured several guests. I didn't know they would have a limit to their population requirement. I only knew that after I bred them. I guess it kind of makes sense as a manager... but not as someone who runs Jurassic Park. Wouldn't I know what every dino needs ahead of time?

Overall, despite my complaints, this really is a very fun, and very distracting game. I don't regret my purchase one bit... but I do wish that these flaws were changed. The immersion would be far denser if they were improved upon.

The game is great and really does the franchise justice. The reason I do not give it a 10 is because it has a few minor things missing. While it has everything you would want from a management game it lacks sometimes that tiny little extra that you would expect. I hope they can patch this. For example guest management.

The dinosaurs are really well made and could just be a bit more

When I play a game I do so as an achievement hunter. I am always looking for that Platinum Trophy and because of that I rate games not only on the game but on the enjoyment I get out of getting 100% completion in terms of achievements.

After reading several reviews on this game giving it a negative score I had my doubts. After playing this game I realize all those negative reviews are coming from those who either played the game for 5 minutes, don't like dinosaurs, or don't like park sims. I have unlocked a few of the islands now, still a few more to go and I have to say this game is a time sink of enjoyment. I started playing and next time I looked at a clock 5 hours had passed without me even realizing it. Current score 10/10.

The graphics in the game are great, animations of the dinosaurs are amazing. Some reviews are saying that the game animations are repetitive, well ya the developers cannot include 100 animations per one dinosaur, sorry all! I spent more time managing my park and creating dinosaurs then watching their animations. What I have had time to look at so far is eating, drinking, running walking, playing and talking with fellow herd members, hunting etc. There are plenty of animations to make it feel real to me. The landscape and buildings also look crisp and clean. Current score 10/10.

Building the park and park management will take up most of your time and fulfilling quests given to you by your peers (different divisions in the park) from digging up fossils to doing research, restocking food, doing repairs, medicating dinos, selling dinos, discarding dead dinos and placing buildings for your park and entertaining guests. When building your park the customization is limited, you cannot put benches, or light posts or all the itty bitty things. For me however I find that level of customization difficult and was why I could not get into a game like planet coaster. Yes Frontier made both games. The customization comes in the form of gene splicing your dinos and adding new genomes. The management aspect of this game was perfect for me. Current score 10/10.

Sound and speech was great, from cast members of the Jurassic Park films making a return to add their voice to the great T-Rex and that amazing roar. Dinos in herds also make noises to each other and people scream when being chased by escaped dinosaurs. Current score 10/10.

Some reviews I read especially from well known critics shocked me, especially one that said the dinos were constantly breaking fences and escaping and it was just a rinse and repeat cycle. I have never had a dinosaur escape except by a quest given by peers to catch it. When you select any dinosaur in it enclosure it is basically like a sim, make sure all its needs are met and it will be happy as a clam. Some dinos like forests, others like none, some like meat, others like plants. Some like huge herds, others want to be solitary, all want a source of water which is just obvious. To the ones who wrote the review of escaped dinosaurs you have to play the game longer then 5 minutes and select a dino to see they have needs that have to be met. In a normal park sim you focus on your customer needs, where here you focus on the dino needs. If a dino is happy your guests are happy and the money will come rolling in. There is a small aspect of guest happiness, just make sure they have places to eat, sleep, shop, and view the dinos. Current score 10/10.

I really have nothing bad to say about this game and in terms of an achievement hunter all can be achieved by simply playing the game and doing the tasks associated with it. Nothing difficult here or that will make you pull your hair out. No save scumming needed! I Highly endorse this park. Current score 10/10.

Pros: Everything, if you want to sit back relax and make some dinosaurs then this game is for you.

Cons: I have found no issues but remember this game is not a hardcore customization park sim, if that is what you want you will not find it here.

I'm also in love, that you are able to play as a ranger and drive the jeep (give you even more immersion),
you can yourself complete task such as refill foods supplies, so cool !

The game even have a photo mode for the dinosaurs fanatics !

Absolutely to recommend, finally a game who is worthy of the Jurassic World Evolution title ! just perfect 10 at of 10

Excuse me, for some time already Jurassic World. Everything began with the revolutionary picture of Steven Spielberg, shot back in 1993, - the special effects and the idea were also good. The whole world believed that a dinosaur can be cloned by getting its DNA from a mosquito stuck in an amber with a drop of blood inside. There was a wave of dinosauromania, which sort of seemed to disappear over time, but the release of the film "The World of the Jurassic Period" by Colin Trevorow showed that not until the end. The picture collected huge money, Universal Studios believed in the power of the ancient lizards - and therefore the next movie will be attached and the game. Not a traditional artisan craft, just to buy, but a high-budget economic strategy from the studio Frontier - the one that is responsible for the series Elite Dangerous and Rollercoaster Tycoon.
And this, you know, means something. Most of all, Jurassic World Evolution recalls (even externally) the previous creation of the studio: the game Planet Coaster. The very place where we are offered to build an amusement park, filling it with roller coaster of our own production and design. On the one hand, a sandbox with almost unlimited space for creativity. On the other hand, there is a good economic model behind all of this, and to make your park profitable, you need to think hard.
Here the basics are about the same. In stock - a very flexible editor of everything in the world, which allows you to dig at least the entire island you have allocated, filling it with vegetation, water, hills and hollows - or just smooth everything and create on a surface smooth as a table. It's obviously not the attractions with trolleys that need to be created, but the pens for dinosaurs. Creativity in this is much less - in fact, you only need to protect the territory, stick a gate somewhere, a feeder, a drinking bowl, perhaps something else special - say, thick bushes, without which this particular dinosaur will quickly fade, and that's all. Dino is grazing himself, the visitors are looking at him and are happy, sending money to your bottomless pocket. And at the same time they buy hot dogs in carefully placed stalls, live in hotels, ride in trolleys, visit museums and exhibitions ... But then the nuances begin. To begin with, dinosaurs must be taken from somewhere. And for this - to build a research center, in it to equip expeditions for the remains in search of the surviving elements of DNA. And it's unlikely that you'll immediately find enough material to clone a full-fledged dinosaur. At first, you will have to grow sickly and sickly, based on 50% of their genetic code. But the more data, the more healthy individuals will be born, and in time they can be modified: to plant the gene of some frog or snake for better survival. Such a copy will attract more visitors. A completely new kind of creation will not work out, but some number of hybrids, consistent with the movie, in the game still will be.
The more research - the more different dinosaurs, the better they are of quality. And the more, respectively, requires the territory for their resettlement and maintenance. And, what is most amusing, a lot of actions in the game developers offer to perform manually. It hatched into the light, say, tritseratops. He himself does not teleport to the cage. First you need to put the louse to sleep. You can make an order for a special group - it will fly out on a helicopter and for a while will chase the individual until it injects enough tranquilizers into it. Now the turn of another unit is transport. They need to give the order to pick up the triceratops on another helicopter and drag it to where it says. And all this can be done in general. To intercept the control of the first helicopter, fly to wherever you need, switch to a rifle, shoot yourself (and by the way, it's not so easy to hit - darts do not fly straight, but on a ballistic trajectory), move the carcass ... Very atmospheric in fact, but everything depends on that , in what you want to play - in the simulator of the transport service or still in the park's director. I hope, in the final version still there will be an opportunity to make elementary actions in two cliques.
Similarly, the service of feeding dinosaurs, and doctors. Do you want - give the order to bring a new goat to the slaughter of the ty-reks, you want - carry it yourself. But so that it happens at all without your participation ... Well, at least not in the version in which I played.

I admit, JWE has a lot of chance & spot to improve its gameplay deepthness on its sequel (if any). so far, im so satisfied with the current game form (consider there is no other game which offer similiar magnificence ancient creature tycoon like JWE! good work!

this 10/10 review is nothing but to raise a change of frontier to make a game sequel (well, if any),
i really appreciate & so glad that this game has been made. frontier has a lot of chance to improve & it can be applied on the JWE's sequel! but at least the current game foundation has been strong entertaining enough (current JWE).

several things that i think should be & can be improved was :
    1. there is no access & any additional features for all guest related building, what we can do is only build it (or demolish it to earn some money) & see it attract the visitors (visitors come & by), thats all. well at least i expect we can see the guest related building door opens when the visitors come by, but this is not (visitors come through a passive doors). very lack of depthness,

well you can clearly see 2 things
    a. frontier doesnt concern on those detail so deep (the whole game graphic is the higher target)
    b. frontier has lack of time on thinking about the building operational details

    2. We have no acces to see how viewing vents looks like. in JPOG, we can click the viewing vent & see how we can view the dinos as if we are the visitors, its beautiful & show how decent our viewing vent as a connector of the visitors to see the dinos.

Same with the transportation train, it would be so new & beautiful if we can see how it looks like from the inside of the train while its moving around the park,

well im so sad that this kind of basic things is lack on the game,
please, you build a viewing facility but know nothing how it looks like, i mean, how is my dinos looks like from that viewing vent, i dont know. but i build it & pretending that view has been satisfying enough for the visitors.

    3. i bet a lot of JPOG fans think about this. well on its high end jurassic world game version, we hope there will be an aerial & aquatic dinos (alongside with its related park facility). but yeah, it havent happened yet. seems like frontier cannot release a bigger effort for it (i dont know why). if there is, it would be fantastic (since it might be the 1st game that consider about the aerial & aquatic dinos).

well it just my big dream,
at least so far JWE has offer remarkable overhaul on the JP's tycoon simulator game.

while playing this game, i feel my dream on seeing a new model of a JPOG's game has been come true. but at the same time, JWE's still left some missing things which make me keep dreaming about it.

    Pros
    -Looks great
    -Sounds Great

    Cons
-The whole process of increasing dino genomes is tedious and slow.
-The timers remind me of a F2P mobile game.
-Camera sometimes has a mind of its own effecting ACU helicopter controls on the odd occasion. Edge scrolling doesn't always work when you exit building stats
-Lack of dinosaur animations, they sound and look different but do not act different.
-Dinosaur "needs/comfort" aspect is frustrating sometimes i.e needing the exact amount of trees/same type of dinosaur feels like a chore
and if this was not met to the exact degree dinos would go rampage.
    -Basic terrain managment
-The whole experience felt like a waiting game, waiting for research, waiting for dig teams to return... like a F2P mobile game
    -Maps are too small
-Lack of any form of deep managment or customisation.

The foundations are there and im confident that FD will deliver in time. Many of the negatives can be patched and i belive JWE will be a better game in the months
to come but cannot endorse £45 on the game in its current state.

When they walk, you can see the dust light up beneath their feet. And the most wonderful thing according to me, is the possibilty to drive between your own dinosaurus, it's like you are really there. Надеюсь в дальнейшем введут моды и всё исправится игроками. Пока что это словно демо игры. Она явно не стоит 60 баксов (2000р)

    - Excellent terraforming.
    - Awesome soundtrack and transitioning.

    Cons:
    - Ranger vehicle health level.

Played for about 15 hours now. The game is really fun and always something to do. Reminds me a lot of Dino Park Tycoon but updated for the modern era. A game like this could have easily been turned into a free-to-play game with tons of microtransactions, so i truly appreciate charging us for a full priced game without nickel and diming us.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. For this game I would rate 10/10 because it has great graphics, a wide variety of dinosaurs and plenty of real world scenarios. This game is a park management sim. It is not an action packed game. But it does keep you on your toes. You have to keep the dinosaurs happy, otherwise they will want to get out. You have to keep the guests happy, that is where you get your money. And most important, you have to keep the divisions of the park happy or they will start sabotaging your park. This game has enough content that after playing for almost a month with multiple hours a day, I still have not built a park on every island or unlocked every dinosaur. There can be many set backs like hurricanes and tornadoes that damage buildings or shut down the power. You have to stay on top of everything. My favorite mechanic is the expeditions. I like the surprise of fossils i have uncovered. I love to multitask so this game is perfect for me and others who like a game that they have to do multiple things at once. But this is not an action packed shooter, other than when you have to tranquilize an animal, so if you like action packed games, this may not be for you. Expand

While the game falls a little bit short in a few aspects as of now, mainly due to the release of the Jurassic World film that rushed the developers with making this project, nothing in this title is game breaking by any means.
It has no bugs, at all. My playthrough on all islands was a very calm and pleasant experience and I enjoyed every bit of it making my own dinosaur paradise.
Now I'm onto creating it in sandbox mode and having a great time.
Fallen Kingdom DLC with new dinosaurs is already being released today, for free. If the fanbase will want it, and it wants it, aquatic and flying creatures will be a thing added in the future among other features.

Anyone expecting a Zoo Tycoon will be disappointed. Dinosaur research and management is very well thought out. But that's where the fun ends. There is almost no theme park management whatsoever. Became pretty bored very quickly. Not to recommend for people who seek to regain the joy of video games from the olden days.

I'll have 4 shops right next to each other. 3 of them will be so busy that they stay at maximum customer capacity at all times, while the 4th one will never have any customers even if I have the store set to give away everything for free. Certain buildings cannot be constructed within a certain distance of certain other buildings because reasons. What are the reasons? who knows! Because of this and how small the islands are to begin with, the main difficulty in the campaign is just playing tetris with your stuff, trying to fit everything into the borders you are given. Well that and how long every thing takes because there is no fast forwarding in the game! Dinosaurs look pretty lame. You cannot move anything you build. Game does not teach you how to make money. Make one mistake and have to reset your island. The map makes it so you have to place buildings at horrible angles.

Took 7 attempts to get the first island to make money, then it makes stupid ammounts of money but you have no room to build anything else so you go to another island and then your money gets reset so you're back to trying to figure out how the hell to make money

Maybe I've been spoiled by playing animal crossing new horizons first but Jurassic World Evolution just seems so badly made. I have spent most of my time waiting for things to happen. This genuinely feels like a pay to progress mobile game with a Jurassic World brand slapped onto it

A fun, relaxing game, faithful to the movie franchise. Interesting concept and very good technical and graphical execution. Dinosaurs look great, you can drive the jeeps, pilot helicopters or ride a gyrosphere through your self designed dinosaur park. Great fun to hear the movie characters (especially Ian Malcolm) comment on your achievements.

But if you want this game series this is the best version and they look the same but jwe1 runs better haha 2018 review: Im a big fan of the franchise and sims like planetcoaster (mindblowing game). Ive seen every film, bought the merch and played the better games. I love dinosaurs and even colloct fossils lol The 10 reviews are as useful as the 2 score user reviews. Ill try to find some honest middle ground.

The game is good if you like mobile games where you wait long times with little to do. It's good if you like stats more than everything else. It's good if you love looking at dinos but not doing much with them. So for some it's good.

For others who maybe love jurassic park or world and expected a mixture of strategy gameplay types, variety and little repitition ...maybe not so much.

The game looks really good though it has some heavy popup and occasional glitches. It sounds great with epic music but a mix bad of film star voices and terrible impressions.

You can drive 2 (3) vehicle types but you don't do much with them and the beautiful gets very samey quickly. Both jp world films have bikes...game has de-evolved so no bikes.
There isnt much botany variety or options to study this important part of the film either. You can take photos but its gets boring quickly.

It has virtually no guest management which is odd for a park sim. No children either which is just surreal for a dino park and franchise based on children in peril. The game expects you to wait long periods of time for the dinos and in that time it would have been nice to look after guests or even build a toilet or a ride...none of that basic park sim stuff.

The maps can be quite restricting and very fiddly at times as can the dinos who aren't really like any actual real animal due to thier limited behaviour. Its a bit paper scissors rocks and when they fight the outcomes make no sense.

A lot doesn't make sense. Especially the very crude way the staff are managed. Id have hoped for real espionage and takeover bids and the Jurassic park stuff we love but its been watered down to prompts. Many of the missions were identical and lazy with different factions asking the same requests but equally criticising you and really basic dumb sabotage not on the scale of the films.

Microtranactions. I feel this game will be adding lits of paid dlc. Theres some free film tie in but that's actually marketing material so meh. The digital has preorder b.s. but physical copies when released in a month will have to pay for that day one removed content dlc. I found this a little shady.

Overall i feel its one of those games which deserves an instant sequel which im sure will be infinitely more varied and interesting and fun.

The current game seems very old fashioned and the ui is poorly presented at times. Maybe more time would have helped but they were clearly forced to releaae early due to the film tiein.

    Wait for a sale.

Ps id have given a 7 but the microtranactions annoyed me as do these gushing 9-10 reviews for a game which just isnt as good as its predecessors and dev high pedigree. I won't give a red review as that be a joke after all the hard work the devs clearly put into this and all their titles.

Dinosaur behavior is abysmal, practically non-existent. There's barely any variation or thought put into the buildings or terrains. Zoo Tycoon came out in 2001 and had these options available to you. As of 2019, many of these issues are unresolved as they continue to shovel DLC out to you (including one that allows you to breed animals with higher tolerances for population. The reason this is an issue is because in THE LOST WORLD JP film, there is a family of Tyrannosaurus.. but in the game, they have to be genetically bred to have a family... right).

The biggest sham of this game, is the deliberate baiting and switching of many of these features. Early trailers showed these better graphics, varied terrain options, expanded Dinosaur behaviors, etc, but were all removed (likely to do with a rushed release date coinciding with Jurassic World's sequel).

It's just not a finished game, lacking diversity and replayability. And they don't appear to have any major plans to fix it. Just take a pass on this game. Don't have hope like I did.

Graphics are good enough, it is enough to make you go back and watch the scenery. For once. Story is not so great though. It could be more engaging. The idea of changing islands and making them safe and stable for visitors is motivating. Jurassic World Evolution is not the best at anything but it is not the worst either. It is a fun and finished game with no bugs. But it needs more work to be played second time. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view.

good game mainly for the dinosaurs, animations of each muscle, noise, behavior all this is perfect! I downloaded save 100 just to enjoy the dinos because my interest is to see them live And not create an island like in the Sims

Fabulosa.
    Recomiendo el juego categoricamente.

On the surface its flashy and fun but there's very little depth. There's so little to do or actually manage in this game that it burns out quickly.

Jurassic World Evolution is a good game, but some of its elements are painfully unfinished. If you really want to build your dinosaur park, do not look any further, however, the game should definitely be a bit cheaper. [Issue#287]

Jurassic World Evolution has its downs (e.g. when it gives you a task you are simply unable to carry out at that moment) but its ups are undeniable. The game manages to reconcile tycoon’s natural depth with accessibility and makes a great, complex use of the license. And it has Jeff Goldblum. Oh, and raptors. Damn those *#&%@ raptors! How do they manage to escape every time? Well, I guess “life, uh... finds a way”. [08/2018, p.56]

You’d think that in a zoo, there would be a team that handles healing of animals on its own (at worst – after getting chewed out via intercom). But in Jurassic World Evolution, director has to personally oversee that process, as well as numerous other tasks. [Issue#232, p.62]
