Itorah misses the mark in a couple of places, but was crafted so well in terms of its platforming and artwork. It may be a little too easy and straightforward for hardcore platforming fans. However, it’s perfect for anyone looking for a casual adventure in a beautiful world.

The potential was certainly there, with the unique Mesoamerican inspirations, beautiful art, and top-notch animations, so it’s unfortunate that I’m left feeling like this was somewhat of a missed opportunity.

Gorgeous visuals and a great soundtrack are strong weapons in this one, but everything else is below expectations.

Itorah may be a good-looking game, with hand-crafted visuals, but under the nice exterior there is only a dull combat system and a level design that’s extremely derivative.

The game feels about as linear as a metroidvania could possibly be. Despite this, Itorah is a short but sweet game, with satisfying combat and platforming, and a gorgeous art style to boot. It might not be the best in it's genre, but it's still worth checking out. Full Review »
