Despite high hopes and low expectations, Infinity Nikki manages to far exceed and surpass my vision for a AAA venture into Miraland, giving just about anyone interested something to do.

The RPG does what it sets out to do and lets few things slip. Infinity Nikki is a more evolved version of what all fans of dress-up games from the 2000s loved. With thought-provoking gameplay, a detailed world to explore and plenty of content, the game is one of the best surprises of the year.

Infinity Nikki takes all the best bits of Genshin Impact to deliver the definitive dress-up game for girls. With a vast wardrobe of exquisite outfits to collect, its whimsical open world is a treasure trove of activities that distract from the gacha grind.

Infinity Nikki is the ultimate evolution of the incredibly successful series that came before it. It is the peak free-to-play dress-up game, and while it’s still full of a few too many currencies and all the gacha pulls you’d expect from its mobile roots, it's all in service of building a gorgeous, gigantic wardrobe worth getting excited about. It features some of the most intricate, detailed outfits in any game I've seen, and while unlocking them can require a lot of grinding (or some real-world money) depending on the outfit, that just means time spent joyfully exploring its packed open world. There's always something new and either cute or bizarrely dark to discover, and even after dozens of hours I'm still unraveling its secrets. Infinity Nikki is perfectly girly positivity rolled up in a pink and sparkling package, and regardless of if that is something you've wanted, it might just be what you need.

Infinity Nikki radiates a charm that warms your heart, engages your mind, and sweeps you off your feet. It’s a refreshing and heartfelt take on the gacha formula, truly promising a little something for everyone.

Infinity Nikki is a fantastic game, and you can play it while avoiding most of the gacha elements. It's a great gacha game that doesn't require you to pay any money to it to be able to succeed. It's a game full of whimsy, wonder, and most importantly dressing up and being able to customize Nikki to your liking, depending on the outfits you collect.

With a tedious grip that clashes horribly with the relaxing nature in which Infinity Nikki excels, I wonder whether the choice to turn it into a Genshin Impact-style “gacha game” was a wise one. Fortunately, the sheer number of menus and the difficulty of mastering them, in addition to the annoying style contests, are the only major negative points to highlight. For the rest, the latest addition to the Nikki saga is probably one of the best cosy games I've played in recent years. Graphically very pleasing, with rich gameplay and a more than honest lifespan for a free game, I can't wait to discover what the next updates have in store.

Infinity Nikki is the ultimate evolution of the (incredibly) successful series that preceded it. It stands as the quintessential free-to-play dress-up game. While it is packed with currencies and gacha pulls typical of its mobile gaming roots, everything works toward building a massive, stunning wardrobe that’s truly worth exploring. The game features some of the most detailed outfits I’ve ever seen in a video game. Though unlocking them may require considerable time—and sometimes, at your discretion, real money—it simply means spending more time joyfully exploring its rich open world. There’s always something new to discover, and even after dozens of hours, secrets still await. Overall, it’s a wonderfully relaxing and welcoming game that keeps you engaged in a serene and enjoyable way.

Infinity Nikki hits the nail on the head. It may be a little harsh in a few points, but that didn't stop me from falling in love with this game. The possibility of squandering real money doesn't change that - I didn't have to use it.

For me, the key word of Infinite Nikki is "surprise". I didn't expect that dressing up and the open world would have much chemistry together, but the result is that even if it doesn't seem possible, if both sides are done well enough, then it can be done! Whether it is the unforgettable story performance in the game or enjoying the jump level while exploring the world, these contents are interesting enough to make me willing to dress up my "daughter" first, and then finish everything elegantly.

Infinity Nikki is like that perfect outfit you didn't know you needed in your gaming closet. It's refreshing, beautiful, and surprisingly deep. In a gaming world dominated by action and conflict, this title reminds us that sometimes, what we really need is a space to be creative, help others, and yes, look fabulous while doing it.

Infinity Nikki is an ambitious title that combines dress-up elements with open world gameplay. While it succeeds in creating an open world that feels unique and fresh, it comes with flaws such as an underdeveloped combat system.

Infinity Nikki surprises with its vastness and style, offering a relaxing and beautiful open world with plenty to do. The grinding and currency system are the price to pay for a free game of this size, but they do not overshadow a unique free-to-play experience.

Infinity Nikki is the cozy, wholesome game I’ve been longing for. With a stunning world, fitting soundtracks, and show-stealing outfits, it offers hours of enjoyment. The only downside is the gacha system, which tempts you to spend money on rare outfits.

Nikki caught my attention with its strong sense of identity, immediately standing out as something different than anything else it overlaps with on paper. Sure, you can easily connect some dots back to Genshin Impact or Zelda to name a few, but those elements are used to build a journey that has markedly different interests and goals. Infinity Nikki doesn’t reinvent any wheels, push boundaries, or offer a revelatory or novel gameplay experience. But it does offer a fresh perspective, a strange and captivating world to explore, bucketloads of silliness, and hours of breezy fun. If you can put up with the free-to-play trappings and some hopefully temporary technical instability at launch time, and if you can have a good time without needing to kill stuff, you can have a blast without needing to know a single thing about fashion. I still don’t trust the cat, though.

The most disappointing thing with Infinity Nikki? That all of my review period progress will be reset. This is a genuinely enthralling free-to-play RPG that will delight those looking for a magical fantasy world to be swept up in.

Infinity Nikki‘s vibrant world design, quirky mechanics, and engaging gameplay loop make a splash in the very crowded and highly competitive free-to-play market. Just beware of timegating and gacha systems that are likely to stymie your progress and enjoyment.

Infinity Nikki is a delightful dress-up experience worth checking out on a whim. Its creative gameplay provides countless opportunities to create a perfect look for Nikki with near-limitless clothing options and accessories. While the open world may sometimes feel bland, the various activities and puzzles you discover pull the engagement levels back. Even during its uninteresting story beats, it'll surprise you with an awe-inspiring set-piece that'll make you adore the quality and effort put into its details. If it continues to expand the charming world of Mira even further with new story arcs and events, it'll surely be a top-notch adventure title that isn't too dependent on the controversial Gacha elements.

Infinity Nikki is a genuinely enjoyable game about exploring, forging friends and making pretty dresses, let down by an abundance of predatory monetization and unnecessary mobile design choices.

Infinity Nikki is hardly a real competitor to Genshin Impact and others. Yes, the game may make a lot of money, but it will hardly achieve the same fame and popularity - Infinity Nikki has a narrow theme and the gameplay lacks challenge. But it's still a great and fresh game for the gacha genre - very friendly, relaxing and with its own atmosphere. And for once, it may even be able to appeal to the more stern of men - because sometimes they want to relax, look at girls in fancy dresses and drown in fluffy kittens.

What Infinity Nikki lacks in difficulty, it makes up for with a gorgeous wardrobe and charmingly scenic world I can't stop poking around.
  25. Infold Games built a beautiful world I’d not be unhappy to live in. It’s a world in which creativity, passion, and empathy are the highest of virtues and can make a real difference – a message that’s more important than ever. Strolling through the landscapes of Miraland, you can forget about everything, reinvent yourself on the spot if you’d like, and simply space out as you veer from melancholy to wholesome vibes. If such a sandbox, such a retreat, is what you’re looking for, then Infinity Nikki hits the mark dead-on – but it falters the moment you crave a little more substance...For the moment, that is. Infinity Nikki will evolve over time, as live-service games tend to do, and many of its starting issues are in the realm of being fixable.

Infinity Nikki is a very beautiful game, even though it features a fairly predatory monetization scheme, it is too early to tell if it will become popular like other gacha games, and it fails to realize what crowd it wishes to sell itself to, action adventure games or dress up games?

If you're looking for a heavy duty game to sink a few thousand hours into, this isn't for you. If you want to simply spend a few hours exploring a charming world with plenty of puzzles and platforming, Infinity Nikki might just be your dream.

There's no denying the milestone that Infinity Nikki marks for the Nikki series, taking it from a modest mobile dress-up app exclusive to China to an expansive global release of a stature rare for femicentric games. Yet... [Issue#406, p.116]

Developer Infold Games has created the most earnest (and sometimes absurd) story with Infinity Nikki, centered around a traditionally feminine value — style! — that connects all sorts of different players. What you get is something that’ll both bewilder and dazzle you, even when it’s frustrating.

Will I be playing Infinity Nikki in a week? Probably not; there are too many games out there right now for a gacha-and-grind to hold my attention for more than a few hours. But as a dose of unexpected, extremely shiny weirdness, it hit the spot. If you need an aesthetic palate cleanser (say, after trudging through a load of violent sludge), you could genuinely do worse than loading it up and seeing if its version of “battling it out” hits the spot.

I enjoyed how Infinity Nikki subverted my expectations. A gacha game managed to recreate Breath of the Wild in function and spirit while the depth and detail of the fashions spoke directly to my love of individual expression in games. It wasn’t simply an Unreal Engine 5 version of the dress-up games of the early internet but a spiritual, sartorial successor of one of the best games of the last decade.
