Apr 23, 2015To put it short, the story is interesting, the soundtrack is perfect, the graphics great, the controls are fine. The only minus I found was that Indiana's movements were sometimes "sudden" and not very smooth. Other than that it's a very entertaining game, even in 2015.

S.D.Jul 7, 2008If you could save the game any time, i think the game would be to easy. I love the game... Have played it 3-4 times.

TRiderJun 21, 2003Again, I would say Awesome! I agree that the no mid point saving is a hassel, but overall it's pretty cool.

C.M.May 25, 2003I would have given it a 10! But there is no way to save the game. You must play through a whole level (sometimes very frustrating fights) and if you die you must start from the start of each level. This is the one complain everyone has! Maybe Lucas can issue some patch.

TGWDec 5, 2003A very fun game (the fist fights kick much booty) but the lack of mid level saving drag it down.

SteveT.Apr 14, 2003Hmm! jump, swing, swim, fall, die a lot. This game has a lot of old school arcade gameplay that is just downright annoying at times. The game has no mid save points and many levels are down to trial & error and lots of annoying restarting. However some levels are are really good and indy's brawling is simply amazing, but i'll take the infernal machine anyday.

Jan 14, 2021For a time of bad license games, this game is pretty dam good. The story is interesting, and on all the levels, the soundtrack perfectly sets the environment. The game is challenging, you actually are challenged in both gameplay and mentally, as the puzzles are tricky. If you looking for a good adventure experience, its pretty solid.

Jan 13, 2022I loved this generation of gaming. Been revisiting a lot of these games recently. Emperor's tomb doesn't fail to impress. Getting to search for hidden treasure as Indiana Jones is amazing. It makes for an amazing platformer. The soundtrack is also great.

Sep 5, 2022Best videogame to play as a kid, the mobility and storylike captivates the player ver well.

Jan 16, 2023A much better game then Staff of Kings ever was, Not to say that i haven't played it many times before on the Wii & in recent years the DS, PSP & PS2, yep All 4 Platforms that were giving to us that already exist!, At least this title alongside Infernal Machine were both released on PC.
That's what these 2 Indiana Jones game's have in common. -
Feb 1, 2023I really do enjoy this game. The levels are fun and the combat is great. The controls, especially while platforming, are rough but they do little to eliminate the love I have for this game. I would definitely recommend playing this game.

PC GamerThough it's no classic tale, Emperor's Tomb has both actioning and adventuring in spades, whisking you off on a gorgeous cross-continental tour of exotic locales. [June 2003, p.68]
-
Edge MagazineInstant deaths, glitchy combat, uninspiring boss encounters and twitchy controls conspire to make this a below-par experience. If it wasn't for the occasional flashes of imagination and the familiarity and richness conveyed through the license then The Emperor's Tomb would be utterly forgettable. [May 2003, p.99]

Despite the occasionally clunky controls, Emperors Tomb does impress with its hand-to-hand brawls (Ms. Croft would be lost without HER weapons) and the free-range exploration allowed within each level.
