To put it short, the story is interesting, the soundtrack is perfect, the graphics great, the controls are fine. The only minus I found was that Indiana's movements were sometimes "sudden" and not very smooth. Other than that it's a very entertaining game, even in 2015.

If you could save the game any time, i think the game would be to easy. I love the game... Have played it 3-4 times.

Again, I would say Awesome! I agree that the no mid point saving is a hassel, but overall it's pretty cool.

I would have given it a 10! But there is no way to save the game. You must play through a whole level (sometimes very frustrating fights) and if you die you must start from the start of each level. This is the one complain everyone has! Maybe Lucas can issue some patch.

Horrible game. Commands doesn't work when you need. No save point available. Each stage you will need to find all guns again. Luckly The Coperative INC doesn't exist anymore. They didn't deserve to be realeasing games nowadays. I love Indiana Jones games, and played the Infernal Machine in the year 2000. This Emperor's tomb sucks in a way that I can't even explain. Expand

A very fun game (the fist fights kick much booty) but the lack of mid level saving drag it down.

Hmm! jump, swing, swim, fall, die a lot. This game has a lot of old school arcade gameplay that is just downright annoying at times. The game has no mid save points and many levels are down to trial & error and lots of annoying restarting. However some levels are are really good and indy's brawling is simply amazing, but i'll take the infernal machine anyday.

A diversão das fases, a trilha sonora fenomenal, e os gráficos (pra época), no entanto, compensam os contras. Um dos primeiros games da minha vida, finalmente finalizado. Expand

Indiana jones is an interesting property. i dont think there is any other series that just SCREAMS adventure like this series dose (films or otherwise) and i do think this is a rather inspired addition to the series.

story: the story is delightfully pulpy as pure as an adventure as you can get . if it wasn't an Indiana Jones ip id accuse this game of being too cliche. but since this

story: the story is delightfully pulpy as pure as an adventure as you can get . if it wasn't an Indiana Jones ip id accuse this game of being too cliche. but since this series is a trend setter in those cliches i can forgive it for that . the good guys win because they re good and the bad guys lose because they are bad. indie is well portrayed even if dialogue is a little cheesy. the games story is slightly racist too if that is something that matters to you, (2003 was a different time and they are harking back to a movie series that was made in the 70s based in the 1940s so i expected as much but this is a warning to people who just cant stomach that sort of stuff )
    story:6/10

world building: its a wild world where nazis and Chinese tyrants work together to gain some grand power ripe with adventure , even if it dose not add much to the indie mythos. this games much better if you take it as a stand alone title but the worlds not awful
    world building: 5/10

graphics: the graphics are a little dated but for 2003 they look pretty good , animations can be awkwardly stiff at times but for the most part the combat animations look good, the items look particularly good , especially the mp40 , environments looked great and were really memorable and varied
    graphics: 8.5

game play: the game play feels like a slower less polished batman mixed with tomb raider being way before arkham asylum came out so this is a good thing , and that kind of gameplay seems to be a winning formula to movie tie in games. combat is weighty and slow but its alot like the films , and items feel weighty and important because of the combat , its difficult both because the controls suck and its a hard game , i played with a controler and had to rebind some controls to fit my play style and it was hard to get use to , but it is playable, the lack of mid level saves is frustrating because the game besides the controls issues is sorta hard and later levels will have you angry. it feels very old school.
    gameplay: 7.5/10

sound design : the music was incredible just like the films but with some new tracks that just scream grand adventure and the gun sounds are really good , not to mention the crack of that whip. the voice acting is adequate except for the main female it sounds like shes slowly doing a Chinese accent and then the devs are speeding her up and cutting her off making her sound awkward like shes about to say something else but doesn't.
    sound design: 8/10

    6+5+7.5+8.5+8=35
    35/5= 7/10

this games a little clunky and some parts have aged well and some haven't , definitely above average. if you played this when you were younger and want to replay it and can find it for a fair price then go for it. if a little outdated story telling don't bother you

For a time of bad license games, this game is pretty dam good. The story is interesting, and on all the levels, the soundtrack perfectly sets the environment. The game is challenging, you actually are challenged in both gameplay and mentally, as the puzzles are tricky. If you looking for a good adventure experience, its pretty solid.

I loved this generation of gaming. Been revisiting a lot of these games recently. Emperor's tomb doesn't fail to impress. Getting to search for hidden treasure as Indiana Jones is amazing. It makes for an amazing platformer. The soundtrack is also great.

A much better game then Staff of Kings ever was, Not to say that i haven't played it many times before on the Wii & in recent years the DS, PSP & PS2, yep All 4 Platforms that were giving to us that already exist!, At least this title alongside Infernal Machine were both released on PC.

That's what these 2 Indiana Jones game's have in common.

I really do enjoy this game. The levels are fun and the combat is great. The controls, especially while platforming, are rough but they do little to eliminate the love I have for this game. I would definitely recommend playing this game.

Though it's no classic tale, Emperor's Tomb has both actioning and adventuring in spades, whisking you off on a gorgeous cross-continental tour of exotic locales. [June 2003, p.68]

Instant deaths, glitchy combat, uninspiring boss encounters and twitchy controls conspire to make this a below-par experience. If it wasn't for the occasional flashes of imagination and the familiarity and richness conveyed through the license then The Emperor's Tomb would be utterly forgettable. [May 2003, p.99]
  3. Despite the occasionally clunky controls, Emperor’s Tomb does impress with its hand-to-hand brawls (Ms. Croft would be lost without HER weapons) and the free-range exploration allowed within each level.
