Burning villages and abducting princesses for ransom as a loot-hungry, fire-breathing dragon might be fun on the PS3 version, but Hoards PC port is riddled with beastly bugs that'll make you wish you'd hoarded your money. [Aug 2011, p.76]

The problem I found is that it felt like the RTS equivalent of button mashing; if I lost, I'd just as soon turn it off than feel all that compelled to try a different "strategy". A shame really, because there's nothing technically wrong with the game.

The game itself is mediocre at best. The gameplay is way too fast and hectic for my taste, and a single game is rarely more than 5 minutes of playing. The fast gameplay doesn't sit well with keyboard control and I'll highly recommend a D-pad type controller.
There is 4 different game modes, but it all boils down to the same: burn, kill and plunder.
This game is good fun if you can't find anything else to do, but it gets old pretty fast.

This review contains spoilers, click full review link to view. The concept of the game is nice, but the implementation is lacking. The game is very unstable and crashes a lot. Controlling your dragon is very unintuitive. I wasn't able to find partners for online games. All in all it's a nice little game for a few hours but it gets old fast. Full Review »
