If you're a Vampire Survivors fan, you're going to want to get a taste of Hive Jump 2: Survivors. It's tough and challenging, but in just the right way: trust me, you'll be jumping in time and time again until you get the better of these alien swarms.

Can the introduction of a jetpack, with related upgrades and powerups, give new life to Vampire Survivors like, which constantly flood us with new releases? If the technical implementation is as good as in the case of Hive Jump 2: Survivors, the answer is positive. It would have been even more interesting if it had procedurally drawn maps; knowing in advance the location of the most dangerous hives takes away that thrill of the unknown that would have made the atmosphere even darker, but it definitely deserves a place in the collection of enthusiasts of this genre of games. The door is closing though, the next ones will really have to come up with something new.

Hive Jump 2: Survivors is a fun time, with plenty of things to unlock and play with when killing alien bugs, but I just think that there isn’t anything that would make it stand out other than the ability to jump.

In summary, while “Hive Jump 2: Survivors” doesn’t reinvent the genre, it offers a solid, enjoyable experience for fans of bullet-hell roguelites. Its jetpack mechanic adds a unique touch to the action, and the upgrade system provides enough depth to keep players coming back for more. However, the limited weapon and map variety, along with some restrictive mechanics, hold it back from being truly exceptional.
