Dec 8, 2012disguise system is appalling hence the whole game is pointless. if that was to be fixed the game would be mediocre OK. graphics are great but gameplay wise it feels like a step back compared to the previous installment.

Jan 14, 2014The game betrays the spirit of Hitman games. It was turned into a action centered games, where you run and hide in corridors. Hitman was about solving a puzzle to killa s pecific victim, now the game has turned into a random action game. Dont do it. Dont buy it.

Feb 11, 2014"I wish this was more linear." "I wish they got rid of the targets or killed more of them in cut scenes." "I wish I had no control over the weapons I use each level." "I hate this."
If you've ever found yourself wondering one of these things while playing any previous Hitman game then you have just found your game of the year. Congrats. So jelly. -
Jan 8, 2013It is not Hitman. It is Splinter Cell: Absolution. New developers just don't understand the idea of Hitman series. As Splinter Cell: Absolution it is not a bad game, but as Hitman: Absolution it gets 0 from me.

Mar 7, 2016When i first played it when i came out, i was very very disapointed. dident feel like hitman at all
But i started 2 days ago to play it again, this time in purist mode and i gotta say i appreciate the game so much more now.
Dont know if it is couse of purist but it is actually a pretty good game once you get used to the mechanics -

Dec 1, 2012this is not hitman its mgs, or splinter cell or whatever. mostly thanks for a retarded disguise system u cant play smart anymore ur FORCED to play hide and seek w enormous mob of guards.
and most disappointing is story, mr47 now drama queen ( -
Nov 27, 2012Dull. Requires no lateral or constructive thinking what so ever, unlike some of its predecessors.
These days the intelligence required to play a video game is indirectly proportional to its advertising budget and Absolution makes a good example of this. -

Nov 30, 2012Oh and forgot I ABSOLUTELY WANT TO DECIDE WHERE I ENTER FROM AND HOW. and not sprinkling some guards to enter the only way possible and them so dumb not noticing me turning the wheel in the real Hitman games they would have shot me immediately even on easy.

PC Master (Greece)Feb 6, 2013Despite the deviations and minor shortcomings, it remains true to its roots. It just brushes them aside for a while, just long enough for it to tell its story- a story where the traditional contracts and other usual components just wouldn’t fit. [January 2013]

Jan 8, 2013Hitman: Absolution does stand out from the ocean of gray and brown shooters that populate the market, but not in enough good ways to warrant a recommendation.

Dec 26, 2012It's not a bad game by any means, and it does fix some problems with the controls that plagued previous games, but having the story that essentially makes Agent 47 less of a hitman and more of an espionage hero, makes Absolution a decent stealth game but not a fantastic Hitman game.
