I have to tell you that this game is one of those games, which makes you glad you decided to become gamer decades ago.
-
Daily RadarThere are problems that can and should be addressed, but the gameplay has no equal.

PC GamerThe new features/graphics only ehnance what was already the best baseball game ever. [June 2001, p.64]
-
Aside from the so-so visuals, High Heat Baseball is the coolest baseball game on the market. If you are looking for life-like action and real baseball strategy, this is the title for you.
-
Its far from perfect but High Heat Baseball 2002 is as good as it gets for now.
-
A game that has so seriously squashed the competition that it's almost laughable.
-
If they fix most of what's wrong above, I'd estimate the actual Overall score would increase to somewhere in the 94-97 range. The game is THAT good and, unfortunately, THAT buggy.
-
The graphics are mostly on par with this year's "Triple Play" entry, but some of the gameplay and animation feels a bit behind the venerable EA title.
-
Some aspects of the game will really impress you; others will make you want to throw your monitor out the window.
-
Despite the bugs, this is a great baseball game boasting more than enough improvements to keep you from going back to High Heat 2001.
-
The bugs are inexcusable, but when it comes to baseball, there just isn't any other game that comes remotely close to being this deep and endlessly replayable.
-
Its graphics and challenging gameplay make it more fun to be on the field than reading box scores.
