Not the best superhero game every created, Hero X still has its own charm. The action is well done, and the game has bright, lush graphics and a large gaming world. Stability problems are its bane.
-
In many ways this is a generic quality game - not embarrassing in any area, while at the same time not being outstanding either.
-
The concept is great, the gameplay mechanics are basic (but present), and the overall style is there, just not implemented.
-
The game misfires at almost every turn, featuring repetitive and overly simple gameplay, as well as dated graphics and an almost complete lack of sound effects.
-
PC GamerPretty darned awful...With barely five hours of gameplay, no voiceovers, non-existent AI, and amateruish chapter-ending cartoons, Hero X can't even rightly be called a decent bargain-bin pick. [Oct 2002, p.102]
