  1. Not the best superhero game every created, Hero X still has its own charm. The action is well done, and the game has bright, lush graphics and a large gaming world. Stability problems are its bane.
  2. In many ways this is a generic quality game - not embarrassing in any area, while at the same time not being outstanding either.
  3. The concept is great, the gameplay mechanics are basic (but present), and the overall style is there, just not implemented.
  4. The game misfires at almost every turn, featuring repetitive and overly simple gameplay, as well as dated graphics and an almost complete lack of sound effects.

Pretty darned awful...With barely five hours of gameplay, no voiceovers, non-existent AI, and amateruish chapter-ending cartoons, Hero X can't even rightly be called a decent bargain-bin pick. [Oct 2002, p.102]

As a matter of fact, you end up facing the same villains twice! It feels artificial and seems like they developers were just trying extend the play time. Otherwise, it would probably be finished in 3 hours! Fun for what it is but don't expect much. Full Review »
