Extra micromanagement and huge mundane complexity for no benefit.

Navies are now *less* fun to play with than before.

Unabalanced new features and focus trees.

HOI4 dev team are going full Kaissereich in order to chase DLC dollars. The core WW2 experience and balance has been utterly forgotten.

Man the Guns is not worth it due to the lack of features added. Instead all that Man the Guns does is complicate seasoned players of the game. It has been a year since Paradox has released a patch for HOI4 and this is the content the player base gets. This to me seems quite disrespectful to the community.

Pros: Naval Combat improved Focus tree for the Netherlands and Mexico Cons:

    Pros:
    Naval Combat improved

    Cons:
More micromanagement that makes the game less fun.
DLC does not add many features to the game.
    Naval Combat is more boring.

What it comes down to is that Paradox is just amazing at listening to their community and developing their games long after release. Now that ships are done, I expect that the air force will follow not too far behind.

Man the Guns is a solid addition to the Hearts of Iron IV DLC line, offering excellent reworks and new components to core aspects.

Man the Guns unfortunately brings more confusion to fleet manage than before. On the upside, the great new oil mechanic, the new focus trees and the US Congress mechanisms are mostly welcome additions to Hearts of Iron IV.
