I'm a long time player, and i'm impressed how everything in Hearthstone is "Random". And one more problem in hearthstone is, it's a free to play game, but if you start now you'll have to play daily for months, to have a good base of cards to construct your deck and play in ladder. you take almost 3 months to get enough gold to buy 40 packs. It's just to slow, if you want to get your collection fast, you'll end up using more money than you would in wow, unless you do really well in arenas (another random stuff).

Fun casual collectable card game that is free to play. It grew boring very quickly for me, and the game is really nothing special. There is a strong emphasis on random events. Even the cards have multiple instances of random events attached to them outside of the usual card draw that is seen in all CCGs. I recommend playing Magic The Gathering if you enjoy these sort of games because theyFun casual collectable card game that is free to play. It's balanced & fun to play, but skill is trumped by in-game purchases. Past level 16 or so your chances at winning a PvP are generally dependent on how many legendaries you have = how much $ you've put into the game. Which is fine, but games like TF2 solved the F2P model without giving other players an unfair advantage.

I really don't think a lot of the cards are too balanced. Its not like you can choose to use this expansion though, so I have no idea why its even listed here.
It really decided to double down on the super aggressive games that quickly stale.
I predict that in a few weeks, a handful of the cards will take a massive nerf. or maybe a few months. I'm pretty sure some of the cards are

I'm pretty sure some of the cards are intentionally insane just to sell card packs.

As much as I fell in love with Hearthstone, I really, really don't like Goblins Vs. Gnomes expansion. It's not really a proper expansion as in more modes, story, features etc. but rather just new cards available in the main game. More cards, that can't be bad right? Wrong. Especially if those cards are armies of annoying robots and hordes of crazy goblins throwing dynamite everywhere. Especially if those cards are armies of annoying robots and hordes of crazy goblins throwing dynamite everywhere. The problem I have with GvG is that it seems to be infecting the core of Hearthstone pretty significantly, the fact that everyone is using it is ok, that's everybodys choice, but GvG is even forcing it's way to Arena for example, as of now, the only type of pack you can win in Arena is GvG which I don't want, and as the entrance is paid, it made the entire Arena useless for me and I have to buy normal packs, which is not fun at all. I also don't like the atmosphere of those cards, I see Hearthstone as a good fantasy, and all those mechs and robots doesn't suit that at all. So many cards are either annoying or their effect totally random, which even more increases the element of luck rather than skill. There are still couple of cool cards here and there and in this type of game, more is always good, but I just really really don't like the theme of this pack, hopefully it was the worst for the start and from now on all new expansions will be only better. 3/10 Expand

The new cards are awesome. The new legendaries are great. Tons of new ways to play. New mech are scary and very versatile. What else we can ask for? It's not even charged to play.

This expansion just proves that Hearthstone is not a pay-to-win game. There are dozens of new cards very cheap to craft and easy to earn. Blizzard just proves once again how to make (fun) videogames.

I have put a lot of time and effort into this game, and it has rewarded me with equal parts entertainment and frustration. It is also a very addictive game, to say the least. I still wish they would put more time into balancing the cards and the heroes. This game will still be here 10 years from now, mark my word.

Actually this game is fun. This game is card game, but several privilage and card must buy with money and this game must online while playing. Maybe this game is not so bad and not so great.

It's a masterpiece. As casual or as hardcore as you want to be. Business model is fair although it could get considerably unfriendly for beginners over the years. Gameplay and aesthetics are absolutely spot on. Worth the download for sure.

The game's play structure is solid, and the game is sometimes fun. But the only point to playing is to win individual matches, and climb a limited ranking system. The game lacks additional modes/challenges that would make it more fun. It is designed around the idea of grinding, which is ok, since that is the whole game....but it is pay-to-win. The curse of all these kind of games. Competitive play requires either unfathomable grinding (thousands of hours to be competitive) or pay-to-win purchases (of several hundred dollars). This free-to-play game is incredibly expensive....and all you get is digital (non-material) cards that are not even really rare like real, printed cards whose production can be limited (anyone can get any digital card if you pay enough...supply and demand is a hoax in this type of game). This is a predatory game that preys on the addictive nature of certain activities to certain people. In the end, you'll remember the game negatively, and forget it entirely soon after. Expand

The game is fun, this edition is also pretty cool. But I have a problem with the game's card dealing algorithm. It's clearly bugged. There should be multiplayer mod. Chatting with other players in not easy, chat mod should be developed. You have 6 excalamtions to judge, speak to your opponent. It is very insufficient and does not match generally to what you're willing to say and this is giving you the feeling that you play with a robot or AI. Unstable connections + rigged win/lose system. The more you pay - the more lucky card draws you'll get. Also a lot of bots that play withour mistakes, farming gold/rank/arena.

Clever and well-balanced expansion, which didn’t break the original mechanics but revived them with several new packages and ideas. [Issue#249]

Still addictive, still entertaining. The first big set for Hearthstone hit the spot. Against all grim forecasts the massive amount of random cards didn’t hurt the game. Thanks to the GG expansion new game packs are created and the old ones are edited, which makes the game better and better.

Goblins vs Gnomes is a perfect add-on to Blizzard's card game. The players get 120 new cards that create tons of new possibilities when modifying or creating a new deck (and that affects the gameplay greatly). What's very important - GvG is free and right now Hearthstone could easily match World of Warcraft in terms of longevity, provided that Blizzard keeps releasing such great expansions.
