    A decent game, but a disappointment compared to its predecessors. (and unfortunately, that downward trend would continue with the series in the future.) Incredibly short- a few hours should do the trick- and not challenging in the least. Worthwhile if you're a fan, but don't expect too much.

    This game was wicked!Totally brilliant! I'm actually on the last day right now... i dont want the game to end! so much fun though! I still need to find 4 dragon wizard cards before i find them all!

    This game is better than Sorcerer's Stone, but worse than Chamber of Secrets.
    The new game play element in this game is the ability to change a playable character with each of them knowing different spells. This makes the game more interesting in some parts and the characters can even cast super strong spells by casting them simultaneously.

    There's a decent amount of cards to be collected and even more things other than Bertie Bott's Beans which is welcome. The spell challenges in this game are fun as well and the castle and the surroundings are quite well done, even though not as fun to explore as in CoS.
    Unfortunately, the whole game feels much easier when compared to the previous one and is also much shorter which is a shame.    … Expand

I'm most likely very biased in my judgment, given that this game has given me a lot of great memories in my childhood years, but I have to give this game a 10/10. The amount of detail that was put in the exploration of Hogwarts is astounding.     In COS it was fairly indepth and accuate. This game was so simple I could sit down and beat it in an evening.

    If you're expecting some RPG elements you won't like this game. You are not free to choose wich spell to cast or play only 1 character, you gotta keep switching from harry to harmonie to ron etc... Spells are very very limited .. I think there are only 4 or 5 spells TOTAL. I finished the game in less than 1 day and what can I say ... I spent most of the time collecting beans and If you're expecting some RPG elements you won't like this game.     I had problems getting my microsoft joystick to work with this game (on PC). So I contacted eagames help. They told me that it is simply not compatable with game controllers on PCs. A bit pathetic I think. Particularly after the problems before with XP incompatability with Philosopher's Stone and given the clear profits to be made with the Harry Potter games franchise, I thinkI had problems getting my microsoft joystick to work with this game (on PC).     Jeez! It's not that bad. Yes, it is annoying that it is so simple to beat the core of the game, but there is a lot to be said for trying to beat all of the mini-games and finding all the wizard cards. Although, without those side-quests, the game would be pretty terrible.

    Unlike the movie, "Harry Potter and the Prisioner of Azkaban" is one horrendous game that is so easy to beat.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. While it is a decent and enjoyable game, it simply is too short. When I was a kid playing the game it took me only a few (did not have many other games I played, so I replayed many games) times through to get every single collectible besides the Harry Potter card due to my complete ignorance of the fact it was free in the shop. EA attempted to throw in a gimmick of controlling the entire trio (unless they got separated for plot related reasons) but it was poorly done. Each of the characters gained a special spell that would aid them, and only them but these were only reachable in the challenge rooms, or the story which is a shame, because each of them are pretty cool. Harry gets an ice spell for fighting salamanders and skiing down slopes and collecting cards and other items along the way. Ron gets a long range pull spell which can be used as a grappling hook to pull stuff that's far away, and swing like a monkey. Hermione's spell is the most boring. It allows you to turn statues of bunnies, and dragons alive. While they are under your control, you are free of danger (unless you forgot to kill an enemy before you decided to change the statue you moron) which pulls away from the excitement of the game. For the most part, they are used for easy puzzles, except for a race during the final exam. Unfortunately, the only other use of your friends is to pull a triple spell which just takes a little extra time to pull off. The card collecting has not been improved in the slightest, if you get all of the cards you get to have a go in the reward room, which is just a sh*ton of beans, pumpkins, and cauldrons to collect (the in-game money) while you are under a time limit. This would be a good idea, but by the time you have all of the cards there isn't really anything for you to spend it on. They do let you in the reward room for completing other challenges, but the cash boost isn't needed anyway. The story is solid, pulls away from the movie and books from time to time, but that gives freedom to the writers of the game. The sound quality is good, and the music score is nearly (if not) identical to the movie. The puzzles are easy and do not require much thought at all. This is forgivable, for it was made for kids. There are also little mini-games which you can play throughout the game. These games can be a little challenging, but are just not that much fun. Two of which are just combat with a few tweaks, and the other one is riding Buck Beak against a time limit. To me, it seems like a rushed game, which could have been so much better if it was just a little harder, and longer.… Expand

    These games just keep getting better and better. There was a solid graphics overhaul from the second gme which drastically improved the game. I felt that this game was a little bit too short, but it was very fun. It is probably the nicest looking of the three, but the game itself is too short.

    It fallows gameplay of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, and presents new improved graphics. Nice thing is that all 3 main character can be played, but that really doesn't impact gameplay and player can't change character at will to use different strategy.     I haven't play the console version of this game, but i read that is way better than the PC version.
    Let's start by saying that the game is an insult for gamers by being way to short (4hrs 30min... aprox) and extremely easy with no real challenge what so ever, enemies die from one hit!!!! and after you beat it there's no reason to play it again.
    But even after all that Harry Potter and    I haven't play the console version of this game, but i read that is way better than the PC version.

Чтобы неблагополучно пройтиУ разработчиков было в запасе полтора года и две предыдущие игры про Поттера, чтобы учесть все недостатки. Но ленивые сотрудники EA Games решили, что одного названия будет вполне достаточно, чтобы народ повелся на новую игрушку. В итоге вместо детской адвенчуры с элементами всего остального получилась одноклеточная детская аркада без каких-либо интересностей. Чтобы неблагополучно пройти игру, даже самому криворукому игроку понадобится не более трех-четырех часов. Геймплей примитивен и мало чем отличается от других банальных приставочных аркад. Все нововведения носят чисто декоративный характер. Возможность играть не только за Гарри, но еще и за Рона и Гермиону вроде бы хороша, но только вот беда - игра автоматически переключает персонажей согласно событиям абсолютно линейного сюжета. А ведь на тех же приставках есть достаточное количество игр, где игроку позволено менять героев, как заблагорассудится. Или вспомним хотя бы Lost Vikings; немного пошевелив мозгами, EA'шники запросто могли бы сотворить нечто подобное. Но нет же, они, видите ли, решили не особо напрягаться.
    Ничего хорошего из этого не получилось. Мало того, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban - это тот самый «(низко)бюджетный вариант», да еще и разрабатывающийся под 4 игровых платформы. Скажите приставкам спасибо за неказистую графику и кривую (по меркам PC) анимацию. Текстуры очень часто пропадают в неизвестном направлении, проходят друг сквозь друга и вытворяют другие фокусы.
    А вот звуковое сопровождение весьма неплохое. Управление простое и потому удобное, так что здесь придраться не к чему.
    Заключив мерзкую сделку с собственной совестью, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban можно, конечно, назвать средней игрой, но если копнуть глубже, сделать это будет просто нереально.    … Expand

    По сравнению с прошлой частью игра в плане графики стала на полторы головы выше, но при этом потеряла атмосферу темной фэнтезийности, всё какое то цветастое и веселое, хотя сам фильм один из самых мрачных в серии. Были вырезаны все фишки второй части, на смену которым пришло прохождение с ботами, каст в три палочки, обманчиво-большой Хогвартс, максимально короткая продолжительность игры 3По сравнению с прошлой частью игра в плане графики стала на полторы головы выше, но при этом потеряла атмосферу темной фэнтезийности, всё какое то цветастое и веселое, хотя сам фильм один из самых мрачных в серии. Были вырезаны все фишки второй части, на смену которым пришло прохождение с ботами, каст в три палочки, обманчиво-большой Хогвартс, максимально короткая продолжительность игры 3 часа (сюжет фильма минут на 30), еще и после прохождения сюжетки игра показывает на сколько она жалкая - взбрасывая какие то унылые экзамены, которые не на что не влияют, а после еще и силой оставляют тебя в игре - пока не выполнишь все доп.задания (кроме сбора карточек) титры тебе не покажут - ЕА уже в 2004 была на приколе... Но после первых двух частей геймплейно тройка чувствуется свежаком и играть приятно + новые относительно-полезные и прикольные заклинания. Ну и триклятые критические баги на винде 10, которые не дают спокойно пройти игру - то черт зависнет, то игра вылетит, то картины не открываются, то еще что и на каждую проблему нужно искать своё решение, дичь - плюс растягивание "геймплея".

    Not as good as Chamber of Secrets on PC, but still good. Separating characters was a mistake in my opinion, graphics are quite blend and don't feel as magical as Philosopher's stone and Chamber. But it's still better than PS2 Gamecube Xbox versions in my opinion.
