    Not that bad, A lot better then the previous game but still needs quite a bit of work. It lacks content and really doesnt justify playing it beyond beating the campaign and clubs.

I having done neither didn’t know what I was getting myself into, and was ultimately disappointed in the overall delivery.     A repetitive wizard experience
    IF you’ve seen the movie or read the book you know what to expect story wise.. I having done neither didn’t know what I was getting myself into, and was ultimately disappointed in the overall delivery.
    The feel of this game starts out great, youre slowly introduced to the mechanics of the game in a way that never feels like a tutorial..
    The entirety of the game take place at Hogwarts…
    You feel like youre just a student..
    You run around solving the problems of other students and dealing with bullies…
    You can also collect crests and wiggle your wand at shiny things until a bunch of mini crests come out.
    As of course you would expect from wand wiggling.
    This is a wizards school so the stair cases move as you move, so going out on your own could get a little confusing, luckily you have a guide in the form of nearly headless nick
    with the press of a button, he will appear and lead your to your next objective..
    This is the most clever way to help the player progress that ive ever seen…
    All of this is great..
    You get to make potions by quickly following recipes, you get to duel with your wand, you get to play quidditch and you get to do these 3 things over and over and over…
    The entire story is I need to make this potion, bring it back to whoever but on your way someone stops you to duel,
    Dueling can be pretty fun the first couple times, but I feel like the spells are not nearly as responsive as they should be which can lead to a couple of frustrating losses, and in between this dueling and potion making you have to play a pass through the rings game of quiddich,
    much like dueling, this is fun for the first few times, luckily missing a ring doesn’t fail you like it would in any other game, but I found it hard at times to see whats going on with the sun shining in my eyes like rihanna.
    The story here though is of course figuring out who the half blood prince is, who owned the recipe book that harry potter now has…
    This story will slide in all of your favorite characters, but the ending lacked any punch in what could have been a very sad moment..
    It felt rushed and all over the place lacking any true emotion from me or the characters…
    This game has some potentially great things going for it… the magic of harry potter is here…
    its just doesn’t do enough different throughout your 4 hour journey.

    It was an ok game. It looked good, Had good sound effects/sound track as well. The controls suffered a bit and it was hard to aim spells and perform them. Yet the biggest problem of this game was that it lacked content. Yes you could join clubs but most of the time they were over as soon as you started them. The story was insanely short and limited to a small handful of missions. It wouldIt was an ok game. It looked good, Had good sound effects/sound track as well.     Ehhhh... at least they tried a bit with this one. It has some fun moments and has potential, but feels very unfinished.

    Graphics are really bland and boring. The characters' facial animations look weird since it's just the actors' faces from the movie cut out and slapped onto bodies and then animated. The gameplay mechanics scream bad PC port. 30 fps cap, resolution limited to 900p and    Ehhhh... at least they tried a bit with this one.     There's quite a lot of area to explore, but it's very shallow and mostly consists of collecting Hogwarts Crests which are sometimes annoyingly difficult to obtain because aiming at them to get them down from walls is next to impossible with the horrible controls. The mini crests are worse since you have to double click like every 2 steps you make to get them to come out from glowing objects and you can never be sure if you picked them up or not when you run through them.

    I feel the potion making is this game's highlight. I had fun carefully mixing ingredients in my cauldron. It's basically the game's only real challenge, because wizarding duels are ridiculously easy. You just spam Stupefy at your opponent until he drops. Every time.

    Voice acting is decent and I enjoyed some funny and witty chatter between the characters even though I found it weird . The story is way too rushed. What sucks is that most of the great parts of the story play out in cut-scenes which are laughably bad and the game clearly assumes you've already seen the movie because they really feel incomplete and sometimes don't even make sense.

    Compared to the last 2 games I actually liked this one. It's not great, but it's a cheap thrill for a Harry Potter fan.    … Expand

    The only somewhat decent game in the series after the first three ones.
    Probably the best Hogwarts castle in the whole series that is fun to explore.
    However, all (and I mean ALL) resolutions of plot points in this game are only solved by three means, either a duel, potion making or a flying sequence. However, instead of quitting after 5 members of DA like in OotP, I actually almost finished this game before it became way too tedious for me.    … Expand

    - «большой» выбор развлечений. Варить зелья и сражаться в магических дуэлях с другими учениками - достаточно разнообразные занятия и даже при частом повторении не надоедают. А квиддич приедается буквально с первого раза. Впрочем, если вы фанат такого времяпровождения, то резко    Минусы:

    Плюсы:
    - варка зелья - процесс интересный с точки зрения управления и подбора ингредиентов, хоть и чересчур простой для любителей квестов.
    - бои заставляют «проснуться» - приходится не только атаковать, но и ставить барьеры или уклоняться от ударов противников.
    - самое интересное, чем приходится заниматься - исследование территории. В игре можно осматривать окрестности (несмотря на слабую графику, общая картина не так уж и плоха), можно собирать значки. Последнее не только приятно, но и полезно - с их помощью можно увеличить единицы жизни, что пригодится в дуэлях.

    Игровой процесс Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince рассчитан от силы на пять-шесть часов. Плохо это или хорошо, зависит только от того, как вы относитесь к изначальной истории и героям как таковым.    … Expand

    Появились новые мини игры: - зельеваренье и квидич, по началу довольно интересны и прикольны, как и дуэли, но уже на втором часу прохождения начинается душиловка; зельеваренье наскучивает, квидич не приносит ничего нового, а дуэли превращаются в тупое закликивание.     - умение орудовать палочкой больше не зависит от скилла игрока - теперь это просто поочередный спам атак.
    - полет на метле просто двиганье мыши.
    - карты больше нет, теперь у игрока есть "почти безголовый Ник", который водит игрока за ручку по всему Хогвартсу.

    Сам же Хогвартс и тех же гигантских размеров (вроде), но изучать его смысла нет, кроме мини игр в этой пустой школе ничего нет - один сплошной упор на сюжет.

    Сюжет же за всю историю серии подан весьма неплохо, в игре геймплейно реализовано почти каждое событие из фильма, но не без пары нелепых несостыковок и странного финала, где Поттер превращается в какого то супермена)))

    It's not groundbreaking and it's not the most engaging experience in the world, but there is something fun about dropping worms into a cauldron and desperately looking for 150 hidden crests.

    Beginners will have fun playing the game, more experienced players will be more challenged by the imprecise controls than by the opponents. Technically the game is years behind the competition.

    A fun movie tie-in game, and it certainly lives up to what is expected of it. Although it isn’t terribly long or deep, it will give fans of the series some solid gameplay , and it certainly isn’t too challenging for younger fans who might want to play it.
