    New weapons, levels and enemies in the Half Life universe, **** yeah. Unfortunately, I'm not a big fan of some of the design choices, and the new enemies range from ok to bland. What was Gearbox thinking when it threw a bunch of new aliens screwing up the plot of the original game? Probably Opposing Force is non-cannon, and as long you consider it that way, it will provide a niceNew weapons, levels and enemies in the Half Life universe, **** yeah.     This was an amazing game............almost two decades ago. Don't expect so much from this game, as it can't really be compared to modern games. It's was revolutionary a long time ago and it set the standard for the fps games for a long time, but in this day and age it is nothing more than a decent game that didn't age very well.....

    A great addon where we can now look at the events from the side of the soldier. Long enough addon, lots of interesting events, training mission is just gorgeous.

    Gearbox has really done a good job on this game. While not as good as Half Life, this expansion pack gives some people what they've always wanted, to play as someone else during the events of Half Life. You play as US Marine Adrian Shepard, a member of the HECU unit, the very unit attempting yo kill Gordon freeman in Half Life. The game has various tie ins with Half Life such as a partGearbox has really done a good job on this game. While not as good as Half Life, this expansion pack gives some people what they've always wanted, to play as someone else during the events of Half Life. You play as US Marine Adrian Shepard, a member of the HECU unit, the very unit attempting yo kill Gordon freeman in Half Life. The game has various tie ins with Half Life such as a part where you see Freeman right before he enters a portal. The game expands on Half Life with new weapons, enemies, NPCs, and an all new alien race. The gameplay wasn't nearly as varied and well made as Half Life but still quite good.… Expand

    Моя рекомендация: не играйте в это дополнение сразу после основной игры, а то из-за хардкора, который присутствует в любом случае, графона и длинны вас игра может раздражить, тошнить и просто наскучить. Меня игра взбесила из-за хардкора и наскучила из-за длины. А так кроме сюжета ничего не изменилось.Моя рекомендация: не играйте в это дополнение сразу после основной игры, а то из-за хардкора, который присутствует в любом случае, графона и длинны вас игра может раздражить, тошнить и просто наскучить. Меня игра взбесила из-за хардкора и наскучила из-за длины. А так кроме сюжета ничего не изменилось.

    Sinceramente, para mi, es la peor expansión (peor que Blue Shift y Decay). Si bien me gusta la premisa, esta muy mal aprovechada, ya que hay muy pocos soldados en la historia, y la historia en si es simplemente escapar, aunque el misterio que deja G-man al final esta bien, aunque no hay ninguna secuela oficial que continué la historia de Shepard (cosa que en mi opinión, la necesita y ya).Sinceramente, para mi, es la peor expansión (peor que Blue Shift y Decay). Si bien me gusta la premisa, esta muy mal aprovechada, ya que hay muy pocos soldados en la historia, y la historia en si es simplemente escapar, aunque el misterio que deja G-man al final esta bien, aunque no hay ninguna secuela oficial que continué la historia de Shepard (cosa que en mi opinión, la necesita y ya). Las armas nuevas son bastante interesantes de usar, en especial en el modo multijugador, pero no parece que se las explote mucho en el singleplayer. Desgraciadamente al igual que el primer Half Life, las primeras versiones incluyen varios bugs molestos, y con el paso del tiempo, lo sentí repetitivo y aburrido, ya que el diseño de niveles no lo senti tan variado y tan interesante como el primer Half Life, ademas de que la curva de dificultad no esta del todo bien balanceada, teniendo encuentros exageradamente difíciles y necesitar usar desesperadamente el "save scumming". Es una buena expansión, aunque no la encontré tan buena como muchos dicen. Al menos el Decay ofrece algo único, un modo cooperativo a pantalla dividida y el Blue Shift una IA mejorada en el científico Rossenberg, con el que te sentís acompañado en todo momento. Opposing Force, si bien es una buena expansion y la recomiendo, aunque a muchos les duela, no innova en nada.… Expand

    Opposing force is an ok expansion pack overall but i think they went a bit overboard. The story doesn't make sense and it's not even canon and the game is a bit unbalanced. There's no new trick and everything plays out the same, gearbox added a ton of new weapons and enemies which takes you out of the experience a bit. Opposing force can be a fun ride but if you don't have the time, justOpposing force is an ok expansion pack overall but i think they went a bit overboard. The story doesn't make sense and it's not even canon and the game is a bit unbalanced. There's no new trick and everything plays out the same, gearbox added a ton of new weapons and enemies which takes you out of the experience a bit. Opposing force can be a fun ride but if you don't have the time, just don't bother with the gearbox stuff.… Expand

    Has one flaw and that its too short. If you don't like half-life you're not gonna like this either why would you think that?

Геймплейно почти все тоже самое, с добавление пару новых пушек и возможностью карабкаться по тросам. Еще больше багов с застреваниями чем в оригинале, есть место в вентиляционной шахте, которое наверно с раза 10 прошел,Дополнение к оригинальной Half-life, происходящее параллельно, рассказывает историю одного из солдат спецподразделения Адриана Шепарда прибывшего на миссию в "Black Mesa".     Playing as a member of the antagonistic H.E.C.U. this Opposing Force makes the baffling decision to skip the most interesting moral conflict of the H.E.C.U. specifically the moment they learned they were not here to rescue the survivors or the resonance cascade and were tasked instead with killing all survivors.

    Instead Opposing Force focuses on a strange and debatably canon invasion of unremarkable aliens.

    I recommend Opposing Force if you are looking for more Half Life.    … Expand
