    I didn't play the game, but as far as I can tell from the twitch broadcast, the game is a masterpiece. I hope I can get VR and I can play Half Life Alyx. I hope I play Half Life 3 as it was released. (I am sorry for my English ) :)

    I never been so immersed in any game before. I literally took my hands up to protect myself when he hit me with he's stun gun (11/10) game!!

    It's a beautiful game. I've finished it in about 19 hours and want more. :) Also I'd like next games in half-life universe to support VR. Thanks, Valve! :)

This game makes everything else I've played (with the exception of BeatSaber) seem obsolete by comparison. It is simply the best VR game ever made, and one of the best video games I've ever experienced. The gameplay is intuitive and immersive,There's nothing I can say which hasn't already been said. It is simply the best VR game ever made, and one of the best video games I've ever experienced. The gameplay is intuitive and immersive, I never had any issues moving around or grabbing objects. The combat is exhilarating and terrifying, I've never been more scared by a game. The graphics, even on my low settings, are the best of any VR title. In these regards and many others, no other game even comes close. This is the killer app for VR and it is an absolute necessity for anyone with a headset.… Expand

    This is what VR was meant to be. Once again Valve shows how it's done. I havent been this exited about playing a game since forever. Only bad thing is that all other VR games i used to enjoy now feels like garbage..

    An exceptional VR game, I wish there was a bit more difficulty but as far as most of the game design choices go i think they made the right ones. I still think the best VR experiences are in racing & flying simulators but i guess that's even more expense for people.

    But anyway, you know, This legendary game is one of the best that happened to me since my childhood, I literally know about this game much more than my mother knows about me. I recall that moments when I tried first time to play this game, and then next spent hours and days in this game just discovering every piece of paper around or spent hours in youtube discovering new intresting features.

    What to talk about plot,It is best ever. I am looking forward to find out who is gman much that to know who is my future wife and children.

    And what I see? They have done this game so right, that I am as oldfaq happy...And count days untill hl3.

    Coming from more physics free games like bone works make it hard to deal with the comfort options. That will probably change in future titles. Coming from more polished 2d titles like doom eternal will feel like the puzzles are too difficult or don’t make sense. Overall, best VR game out there.     Absolute masterpiece. Valve has yet again released revolutionary Half-Life title.
    I only have my cheap old Oculus Rift, but the experience is breathtaking, the level of detail, immersion and just how much you can do with the environment.
    Wonderful game, I can say that this one will be played in the future to have nostalgia trip, just like Half-Life 1 and Half-Life 2 are played on the    Absolute masterpiece. Valve has yet again released revolutionary Half-Life title.

    I've never had so much fun in a video game. Valve continues to deliver on their high quality games. The story is absolutely amazing, I teared up and I haven't played half life 1 or 2. So as an entry to the series, this really met my expectations. Exceeded them in fact.

    The entire game without a doubt blew me away. Borderline favorite Half-life game of all time. The graphics, gunplay, even small things like lighting just bring the game a completely new and fresh feel. Absolutely recommend!

    This game is freaking amazing. It just oozes charisma. Its scary in the right places, and funny in the right places. The story is incredible. The voice acting is top notch. The guns sound punchy and loud. The environments are beautiful with amazing textures and particle effects. It plays well room scale and sitting down.     The most immersive game experience I have ever had.. The sound / graphics design of this game combines perfectly to always trick your brain into thinking everything is a bit too real... The game developers read my every move so well it was almost more terrifying than the goddamn headcrabs!

    A game that gives emotions from the start, although in the middle of the game, it becomes boring, but by the end it begins to unfold. I really liked the component related to hide and seek. I consider it a great continuation of the series and a hint of the next part.

    This is truly what a triple-A VR game can bring to the table and knows it. The story, the mechanics, everything. This is the first time something has truly not felt like a gimmick or demo in VR to me.     I would also rate the game with 9.5/10.
    Its a really nice game with a Lot to interact with.
    Until this day there were a lot of small games wich made Fun but there was no real VR game. I thought i was wasting my money for buying the Rift S but finaly there is a game wich i can enjoy. Especialy the possibility of teleportation movement (you also can move with Joystick or half teleport)    I would also rate the game with 9.5/10.
    Its a really nice game with a Lot to interact with.
    Until this day there were a lot of small games wich made Fun but there was no real VR game.
    I thought i was wasting my money for buying the Rift S but finaly there is a game wich i can enjoy.


    Especialy the possibility of teleportation movement (you also can move with Joystick or half teleport) allows me to play the game at all.

    The game is well polished, the only reason i remove 0,5 Stars is the missing Feature to manually de/-activate the flashlight and also the Bug that i cant See the shotgunlasercircle when the flashlight is on.

    Finally I had the opportunity to play with it.
    This is one of the best game, I have ever played. When you start the game you will touch everything, this is already insane, after that you start play, and you don't want to play with anything else. :D
    If you have the opportunity, play with it, you won't regret it

    Played about 2/3 of it in 15 days with a 200$ second-hand Oculus cv1.
    It's a truly Valve game: careful attention to detail, vast and realistic landscapes, beautiful graphics, good story, excellent gameplay, incredible detailed sound, the full HL universe. And then the VR plus: Great inmersion, very easy to control, you totally forget of yourself for hours, very intense but not scary. I    Played about 2/3 of it in 15 days with a 200$ second-hand Oculus cv1.
    It's a truly Valve game: careful attention to detail, vast and realistic landscapes, beautiful graphics, good story, excellent gameplay, incredible detailed sound, the full HL universe. And then the VR plus: Great inmersion, very easy to control, you totally forget of yourself for hours, very intense but not scary. I end really tired each sesion.
    But the best off all I think is that there's still room for improvement: Physics can be better (some stucks and plane crossings), story can improve (might be too lineal and less humorous than previous chapters), inmersiveness can still be bettter (not very realistic to store things in your wrists. What about a belt?).
    So I'm eagerly waiting for a HL Alyx 2 and I'm sure I'll be to HL-A as HL2 was to HL1.

    Update: Just ended it in a four hours continuous session. Physically and mentally wasted. It was good enough from the start, but man, after passing Jeff, the last two chapters shines.    … Expand

This is one of the most intense, exhilarating, heart racing, immersive thing I have ever played and I'm living for every second it.    I had to come here and talk about the most insane battle I had with the combine.

    I am also pretty new to VR so can get motion sick sometimes on continuous motion games however I don't get one bit of motion sickness running around in this game. Continuous motion is a must to play this.

    Best VR game I’ve ever played. Took me a day or two to acclimate to the controls and not get motion sickness but after that the game was a blast. Wish there was some more post game content but can’t win them all.

    When Valve released Half life 2 they forced player
    Using steam or when Half life 1 released, PC gaming was not a thing. So lets hope in future VR will be cheaper for everyone.

    One of the best games, not just in VR, but of all platforms! This was one of the first VR games that made me forget I was just standing in a empty corner of my bedroom with a box strapped to my head! Absolutely amazing writing and gameplay that you just can't get with a keyboard and mouse or a controller!

    I love this game! It has a amazing combat system which is both fun and strategic. Plus the upgrades effect all of the combat from having sights to a grenade launcher.

    I have sunk hours into this game because you're always having such amazing time playing this game.

    Finally a game that`s worth playing on VR, I`ve been waiting for a game like this for years. It doesn`t even compare to all the games out there, so please just try it and you wont be dissapointed.
    It has teleportation for all of you that have motion sickness like me, it makes wonders.

    Fantastic. This is the first major VR game and it is great. The story is fantastic, gameplay is great. I feel that at points the game is stale, but the graphics are gorgeous and the novelty of seeing a vortigaunt never wears off and the ending is up there with the greats, my jaw was dropped the whole time. After playing Alyx, and replaying it 2 more times, I can only say that this the most amazing gaming experience I have ever had.     Juegazo, Inovacion, VR, Vuelta de nuestra saga de pc favorita, lo tiene todo, fisicas alucinantes, hasta puedes hacer malabares, lastima que este subtitulado y no doblado, un juego que no te puedes perder y por el que merece la pena el desembolso de unas gafas vr, en mi caso oculus rift s, las quest aunque se pueda no convence lo del cable mucho y no las pille, si tienes la posibilidad compralo

    Played on the Rift, the game looks unbelievably good. The graphics from that first look out across the city, to the infested tunnels and decrepit hotel, they blew my away.     Thank you Valve, as a Half Life fan, and a VR user, this was everything I dreamed of when I bought the Rift. I hope more developers can reach these dizzying heights.    … Expand

    Half-Life: Alyx is an incredible demonstration of what can be done with virtual reality. Nobody, so far, has put the amount of resources and research that Valve did. This might not be the killer application VR needs, but it’s an excellent game, worthy of the main series of Half-Life.

    사실상 포탈2, 도타2 이후로 정말 오랜만에 보는 명작입니다.
    만약 밸브 인덱스 혹은 VR를 큰맘먹고 사실 마음이 있으시다면, 밸브 인덱스와 이 게임을 사는것을 추천합니다.
    정말 그럴만한 가치가 있는 작품이니깐요.

Fighting the combine is a really fun experience however there is always a lack of ammo and within about 30 seconds    This is a must play and a reason to start saving towards a vr headset. I would prefer it if for these sections you had more ammo because I want to focus more on the fighting and being able to strafe the area with bullets and have some fun. But this is rare and most of the time you'll have used up all the ammo and will be left to try and take out 2 guys with only a few grenades.

    Overall though it is a fun game and the best bit for me was the start of the quarantine zone until you get to the hotel. This was honestly the best gaming experience i have ever had and will no doubt replay it many more times :)    … Expand

    I've had my Vive since 2017, and every game I pick up has been the same. They all feel like a tech demo, and the devs forgot that the game is meant to actually be played in VR. Half Life: Alyx? Nah. The gravity gloves in this game actually gets rid of all of those problems you would experience in other games, trying to pick something up off a table or the ground, especially since youI've had my Vive since 2017, and every game I pick up has been the same. They all feel like a tech demo, and the devs forgot that the game is meant to actually be played in VR. Half Life: Alyx? Nah. The gravity gloves in this game actually gets rid of all of those problems you would experience in other games, trying to pick something up off a table or the ground, especially since you have to constantly recalibrate the ground in VR making it impossible to pick things up 75% of the time. But, having the gravity gloves to just flick something to your hand is one of the best features I've ever used in any VR game, and even with its flaws, no other game has come close to this. Besides this game actually being a properly, well thought out designed game that was fully intended to be played in VR with as little headaches as possible, that's not the only reason why it's good. The game is a full, real game. The soundtrack was jaw dropping the first time I heard it, I didn't even know Valve was capable of such things. The UI/HUD is really well done in this game as well, ammo and health are really easy to find and keep track of, same goes for any other objects you may want to collect. The story as well, it is written just as good as any other Valve game, so if you loved the other Half Life stories or Portal stories, you'll love this one. So the real question is, is this game really worth spending $400+ on a VR headset, then the extra $60 on top of that? To just buy a headset to only play Half Life: Alyx, no, I'd say you're an idiot who's wasting their money on a single game. But if you're already interested in a VR headset for more than just Half Life: Alyx, then yea, it's worth $460~.… Expand

    A special mention should be made of the game's dialog, mainly consisting of Alyx herself and Russel, a scientist who Alex remains in constant communication with throughout the game. Their relationship feels genuine, the conversations between them are enjoyable, and almost all of the intended comedic moments land perfectly, which is something most video games seem to have trouble with.
