    The game itself can be a lot of fun and feel familiar for fans of classic deathmatch games like Half Life: Deathmatch or Unreal Tournament, and if played as such this game can be greatly enjoyed. Unfortunately, the community seems to be really putting an effort into deliberately ruining the game. All of the other community created gamemodes are completely and utterly horrible. Even worse, out of all the servers running deathmatch maps, less than half of them are running Valve/stock maps. Most of the are running awful "killbox" maps, which are...well...just awful. tl;dr The game is good granted you are lucky enough to be able to find a server that isn't horrible. Stick to default gamemode and play Valve maps and/or Valve-tier community maps.… Expand

    This was a fun diversion once upon a time but feels tacked onto HL2. Gameplay revolves around your typical online shooter gameplay (memorize map, find & camp 1 hit kill weapons) and has nothing remarkable about it. A real disappointment considering how amazing Half Life 2 was.

    I had a lot of fun playing this game. The gravity gun adds a whole new dimension to the deathmatch game. I actually like the server system. The problem is many weapons are way too overpowered and way too many maps are just boring killboxes. For instance, the crossbow was meant to be a different way of sniping that required timing and physics logic. However in close combat the crossbow'sI had a lot of fun playing this game.     Half-Life 2: Deathmatch brings back the adrenaline pumped feeling from old Deathmatch classics such as Unreal tournament and Quake. With improved graphics, physics and a combination of the half-life 2 story this game is filled with rush. Equip your gravity gun and throw a toilet at the enemy, the amount of props will get annoying though since they are in your way.

    In addition to having very few servers with more than five people playing at a time, you will spend 90% of your time downloading custom server files, and the rest of the time realizing that the servers you join, even though advertised as deathmatch, are playing some indescribable and unplayable version thereof in awful maps.     While not nearly as good as other Valve multiplayer games we've come to expect (such as Counter Strike) HL2 Deathmatch is a nice new take on the old deathmatch formula improved with Half Life 2 weapons and teams. My only major complaint is the lack of offline play with bots and the lack of actual people to play with. I would find HUNDREDS of servers but almost no Team Deathmatch servers!While not nearly as good as other Valve multiplayer games we've come to expect (such as Counter Strike) HL2 Deathmatch is a nice new take on the old deathmatch formula improved with Half Life 2 weapons and teams.     Half-Life 2 multiplayer. Is there really any point? Given how there's no recoil or skill in the gunplay of HL2, it kinda justifies why CSS was included with HL2 rather than this. HL2 DM is just a cheap multiplayer mod that achieves nothing but a mess-about within the HL2 universe with other people. I just cannot see why someone- even if they were an avid HL2 fan- would want to play this rubbish.

    Half Life 2: Deathmatch is a fantastic Game. The Gameplay is really good, the Graphics is good (Yet Simple), The Maps are great. The only thing about Half Life 2: Deathmatch that disappointed me was the fact few play it. And it's hard to find a Server with Players. But when you do find a Server with Players, you'll love it.     Poor gameplay mechanics. Slow matches. Inappropriate weapons. Counter-Strike is way better.

    A FANTASTIC multiplayer experience, that is if you have the skill. If not, it gets incredibly annoying and frustrating. Even if so, getting this along with the regular HL2, is definitively worth it, I never really knew why they released the two games separately...

    I consider this game to not really be a full-game, its more like a mod with price for Half-Life 2, but if it's a mod then its a great mod. The guns blazing, balls crazy action of this game is just epic with the great gear of Half-Life 2 weapons at your hands. The gravity gun is the real star of this game, its so much fun blasting objects into other players. This game however, isn't a realI consider this game to not really be a full-game, its more like a mod with price for Half-Life 2, but if it's a mod then its a great mod.     Adding a multiplayer mode to Half Life 2 was a great idea but I feel like this Deathmatch title could be way more better than it is.     If you are looking for a good game where you can play online or LAN party, buy this game. It's only $2.49. You will need the source engine, which you get if you have half-life 2. This is fast-paced, fun, and does not require a lot of setup or long loading times. You can start or stop playing quickly.

    С друзьями можно поиграть пару вечеров.
    Такая оценка, поскольку нет новизны. Вообщем-то HL2 не особо то и нужен был сетевой режим, в отличии от первой части, где он был реально крутой и в тему.    В принципе пойдёт, живые сервера есть, физика классная.

    Gameplay:
    It has good mechanics, but it feels all over the place and not focused at all. It can be fun at times, but it's not really impactful and satisfying. It's just not smooth and the maps are not very good. Also, it can be painfully easy. But, I like that you can have so many weapons with you, making the experience liberal. And, also, I like how you can use    Half Life 2 Deathmatch.

    Simple, straightforward deathmatching with Half-Life 2 weapons. Unremarkable on its own, but the basis for many, many a mod, and an icon of an era when higher health pools mattered.

    Also here I was running around for 10-15 minutes for no good reason. No singleplayer part as well. But it is a Half-Life game and deserves nothing less than score 10. And the Overwatch voice is here as well, it's so nostalgic. It makes me wanna play the singlerplayer game over and over again.     SOOOOO MUCH FUN with friends! The physics make it really funny, the weapons are weird, but fun to use, but the servers contain (mostly) bots. I always play with my friend in LAN.

    The successor of the first Half-Life DM, and even more successful than the original. In terms of player base and graphics, of course, this is the one you'd want to play, not the first. And I wholeheartedly recommend it as well. The only major issue is the player population.

    Great game for LAN parties (or online multiplayer). Gravity gun is always fun and HL2 gameplay is generally great. I'd just welcome more maps and more settings for the session.

    Отзыв: +Много забавных моментов, ибо грави пушка, всякие мины, арбалет, револьвер, люди -Баланс, не понятно почему m9 чет ваще не роляет, и фомка хотя и ей можно убить +Онлайн есть, очень много, бессмертный детматч, до выхода 3 части)    Перед нами 2 часть Half-Life 2 мультиплеер, самый живой детматч по серии халф лайф, ибо все что нужно есть, норм графон, приятный геймплей, люди)
