    I always wondered why people love card games. I tried Hearthstone but didn't like it. This year after steam lauch i decided to try Gwent and man! This is awesome. Game is so fluent. Designs are very nice. Sometimes ı spend hours with just thinking and crating a new deck. Congrats to CDPR.

    This is the best CCG in my opinion. You don't need to farm endlessly to craft a playable deck, and also iy has amazing arts.

    A fun little game that doesn't have much depth to it but is definitely fun. It doesn't have much content but it doesn't need to. It won't blow you away but it will show you a good time.

Совсем не люблю карточные игры, но гивнт в ведьмак 3 поразил своей лёгкостью и простотой правил и я сделал для него исключение.     Gwent was great - both in Witcher, Thronebreaker and the beginnings of the standalone-Game. Unfortunately though, most of the creativity in colourful deck building and game-styles had been sucked out of the game due to the fact that 90% of players only play overpowered netdecks at a given rank, so you constantly face the same annoying decks which you have (mostly) no chance against if youGwent was great - both in Witcher, Thronebreaker and the beginnings of the standalone-Game. Unfortunately though, most of the creativity in colourful deck building and game-styles had been sucked out of the game due to the fact that 90% of players only play overpowered netdecks at a given rank, so you constantly face the same annoying decks which you have (mostly) no chance against if you don't "netdeck" yourself or have a specifit counter-deck for the match.     Shamelessly unbalanced , poor matchmaking and pay to win overtones. Broken decks . Spent over 1600 hours across all platforms and a seldom review anything but don't go near it. It sucks.

    I am a former Hearthstone player and while initially I really liked that game, after some time it just became tiresome to farm out the gold for new expansions and it was nearly impossible to enjoy the gameplay when I wasn't playing a meta deck. It took me a couple of hours until I finally checked and I was honestly shocked to see that I have a bunch of resources. The gameplay can seem simple at first, but if you think about it a little more there are a lot of factors that determine the result of a match and luck is the least important of them. Also the card arts (both static and animated) are absolutely stunning, I like to browse my collection just to look at the art of my cards.… Expand

    I've played a lot of CCGs but none have made me come back as often as Gwent. The in game rewards and progression systems are extremely giving and fair. The card art and animations are beyond compare. And the six different factions have distinct archetypes and identifies which make the game eclectic and fun. I highly recommend it!

    Great game overall.
    Extremely F2P friendly; great sense of unlock progression; amazing art and card animations.
    Very strategic at its core, with tons of depth.
    Current balance makes many different play-styles viable and competitive.
    The devs really do care; the game is in a great state, and constantly improving. Give it a shot!

    It's one of the best collectible card games I've ever played and I played many - Magic: the Gathering for 19 years, Triple Triad, Tetra Master, Slay the Spire, Spectromancer, Hearthstone
    and other.
    It has it all - interesting and deep gameplay, high skill players are rewarded for right decisions, mostly free to play, different and unique mechanics (including two rows, three rounds),    It's one of the best collectible card games I've ever played and I played many - Magic: the Gathering for 19 years, Triple Triad, Tetra Master, Slay the Spire, Spectromancer, Hearthstone
    and other.

    It has it all - interesting and deep gameplay, high skill players are rewarded for right decisions, mostly free to play, different and unique mechanics (including two rows, three rounds), huge achievement system, card art is masterpiece, especially animated.

    Game is based on mini-game from one of the best RPG ever created, but it's very different from original and much more interesting experience - you can see balanced gameplay, feel dark and cruel atmosphere from Witcher universe.

    Game is always in development, making new expansions, balancing, all thanks to great CDPR team.

    And don't miss Thronebreaker: the Witcher Tales for great story and strategic battles, based on Gwent.    … Expand

    Best card game on the market. Most generous, best lore, best achievements system (rewards book is something like from RPG game). After beta game is much better (yes, there were some problems just after Homecoming, but now I have much more fun than ever).

    After playing a lot of Hearthstone and Magic, I think I've never had so much fun with a card game. You should really try it, also the community is awesome and the game it's being really support by CD Project.

    I really like the witcher series and this game is a tribute for them. I enjoy play the well-known characters's cards. There are a lots of card mechanics so, you can innovate your decks anytime if you have lots of card of course. Luckily there are many reward and event in gwent, you dont need to pay for the win. На 2020 год баланс в игре отточен до совершенства, но я бы сказал, что даже с тем большим количеством карт, что есть, можно было бы больше.     I gave it 10 to balance a bit totally negative and undeserved 2 points review. While this game doesn't deserve full 10 in my opinion it certainly is interesting and projects well Witcher universe climate. It has some glitches and balance problems, but in my opinion itt is certainly worth playing, much more than some other more popular titles.

    Skill intensive, very F2P-friendly game with amazing art and lore. Devs care and changes come often.
    A little hard to initially get into (the new player experience has, and continues to, improve), but once you're hooked it's very hard to stop playing.
    Definitely recommend this to both card game, and Witcher fans!

    As an oldschool Magic: The Gathering fan, I was very surprised of The Witcher Card Game called Gwent. Even if this version differs from the one in The Witcher 3, it is a lot of addictive fun. I found myself playing matches over and over again. If you like trading card games, you should check this one out.

    I love the new gameplay mechanics and how much content CD Projekt Red is giving us for free. Also, the Thronebreaker dlc is a good rpg and i find it a fair way to support the devs for the awesome card game.

    The game is very good, although it's a significant change from what we saw in the beta and thus I understand it might not be positively received by some veterans. While it has it's flaws, a majority of those are easily fixable with some minor QoL improvements/balance changes and future expansions.

    Pros:
    - really F2P friendly - progression system + quests + playing rewards give out a lot of free stuff for new players to quickly build up the card collection;
    - more meaningful rounds - introducing hand card limit and drawing 3 cards between the rounds means more strategic play;
    - reduced to two rows - most likely because of the mobile version in the works :)
    - much more balanced than before - losing a coinflip no longer feels like an auto loss;
    - provision system opens much more diversity in deck building;
    - the game takes approximately the same time regardless if you play aggro/tempo/control/combo;
    Cons:
    - lower point numbers feels pretty strange if you are a veteran;
    - more RNG - you rarely draw the whole deck now, there are less tutors and less deck thinning, but there is more draw between the rounds; some mechanics like Reveal are too RNG reliant;
    - slower gameplay - partly because there are other things to do than just play one card in the turn (like Order mechanics), but could be also speed up a lot by some QoL changes;
    - lack of archetypes within factions - some have too few cards, some are simply gone (like old Nilfgaard Spies or NR Armor), but very likely to change; this is probably because of future balancing - current set of cards will be considered "Core" and future expansions will be balanced around it (similar to Hearthstone);
    - artifacts currently unbalanced - they are somewhat uninteractive, but there are rumors that is going to be addressed in the upcoming balance patch;
    - no avatars in gameplay, reactions now tied to the leaders rather than the avatars (my Odrin avatar is very sad because of that);

    Overall I would score it 8 as it is now, but I'll give 9 because of the potential - the game is in much better state than it was in the beta (especially after Midwinter patch) and CD Projekt Red is known for listening to their customers, so it's very likely the major concerns will be fixed in the near future.    … Expand

    Gwent was a great game. I played a lot beta and really enjoyed it. It was fast paced and interesting. Sadly the Homecoming come in and destroyed everything what I liked about Gwent. This is a disappointment now and I know I am not the only one feeling like that. On top of that I dont understand the business model of developers - after destroying my collection of cards from beta I gotGwent was a great game. I played a lot beta and really enjoyed it.     A 6 Is probably more than it deserves. The game seems to be hugely flawed where one long round means, even if you win that round, you lose based on draw luck. If the other player draws combos and you don't, you lose. On top of that matchmaking appears to be garbage. My first dozen or so matches were against players so bad I thought they might be AI's programmed to lose (I still suspectA 6 Is probably more than it deserves. Then after winning all but 2 where I got RNG'ed with bad draw, All I get matched against is people that obviously sunk time into the game...and I am stuck with a starter deck. Unless ofc I want to pay a bunch of money to buy packs of 5 cards at a time. The power curve isn't even close between starter decks and decks belonging to experienced players, and consistently being matched against them just means constant losses.

    It very much feels like a mini game that should never have been developed into a full fledged standalone title, but was. I have played just about every digital card game available, probably close to 2 dozen at this point, and this one feels better than average, but with much less potential for improvement than most other DCG's.    … Expand

    Честное слово, игра не плохая, но ставлю абсолютный 0 только по одной причине. Если собираетесь полностью переносить аккаунты с одной платформы на другую, то хотя бы отправляйте на почту уведомление об этом. Играл на пс4, донаты даже были, сам аккаунт был в целом хорошим, но это уже не важно, ведь консольная версия уже не поддерживается... Что же, консольщики соснули(Честное слово, игра не плохая, но ставлю абсолютный 0 только по одной причине. Если собираетесь полностью переносить аккаунты с одной платформы на другую, то хотя бы отправляйте на почту уведомление об этом. Играл на пс4, донаты даже были, сам аккаунт был в целом хорошим, но это уже не важно, ведь консольная версия уже не поддерживается... Что же, консольщики соснули(

You can get good decks from short easy grinds without paying, unlike most other cardgames out there. Active developers who are constantly improving the game.     Si te gustan los juegos de cartas creo que deberías aunque sea probar este juego , te guste the witcher, te de curiosidad o te importe más bien poco.
    Si te gustan los juegos de cartas y este te termina molando por una cosa u otra, tienes un juego súper Freetoplayfriendly para viciar en tus ratos libres.
    El juego en ningún momento te va a forzar pagar por cartas ni por nada del tablero,    Si te gustan los juegos de cartas creo que deberías aunque sea probar este juego , te guste the witcher, te de curiosidad o te importe más bien poco.
    Si te gustan los juegos de cartas y este te termina molando por una cosa u otra, tienes un juego súper Freetoplayfriendly para viciar en tus ratos libres.

    El juego en ningún momento te va a forzar pagar por cartas ni por nada del tablero, lo ÚNICO que no se puede conseguir sin pagar son algunos dorsos de cartas, algunos personajes (skins de comandante) y algunos accesorios. (Los cuales no afectan en absoluto al gameplay en ningún momento)

    Los sobres de cartas se pagan con moneda del juego (o puedes pagar por ellos, pero consigues como mínimo 1 sobre al día solo por jugar una partida, asique no tiene mucho sentido) , las skins, dorsos y etc se pueden conseguir a través de hacer diarias o jugando aunque sea una partida al día. Llevo jugando gwent por temporadas desde que salio, no he jugado todos los días ni todos los años, y aun así tengo casi todas las barajas del juego, skins etc por jugar un poco.

    Si tienes curiosidad pruébalo, porque si te termina enganchando tienes un juego que te recompensa mucho por simplemente dedicarle un par de horas al día.    … Expand

    إن تحدثت عن ألعاب البطاقات فهي ليست اللعبة الأفضل وليست بمستوى الألعاب الكبيرة من هذا النوع لكن المحب لجوينت من ذا ويتشر أو محب ذا ويتشر سيستمتع بها حبا في شخصياتها وفي لعبتها الأصلية

    Problem with Gwent is that after a beta of two years they decided to stop right before the game was actually completed, favoring a revamp of the mechanics that chenged it radically.
    In my opinion CDPR should have continue to improve the beta as the goal to have it stable and with a standarded gameplay was at hand.

    Especially when you get to higher rankings, you can't just slap your cards on the table.

    One of the few F2P not P2W games. Awesome graphics and music create awesome atmosphere. Gameplay is much more about your skill than RNG. Random effects are usually used to not be that random and you don't usually lose much value if you don't get what you want. About randomness of drawing cards you can be greedy and play combos hard to draw and you can play safe and take some cards whichOne of the few F2P not P2W games. Awesome graphics and music create awesome atmosphere. Gameplay is much more about your skill than RNG. Random effects are usually used to not be that random and you don't usually lose much value if you don't get what you want. About randomness of drawing cards you can be greedy and play combos hard to draw and you can play safe and take some cards which give you almost 100% for drawing combo so the problem of "who draws better wins" is not felt that much. You can only blame yourself for playing risky deck. CCG different than others, definitely much more pleasant to play. The only thing I can actually complain about is making wrong choices about DLCs and balance by developers.… Expand

Deal 4 damage here, boost by 2 here. It could literally not have less to do with the actual card art. Its just a mechanic to a card, it might aswell be a tree that hits an enemy for 5.     The atmosphere and artwork is fantastic, the music is great, the card animations are mindblowing. There's a good progression system, and there's always something to do. Yet despite all of that, the current Gwent cardgame itself is    I loved single player Gwent in The Witcher games, and I have a fond recollection of the beta version of Gwent, but that's a distant memory at this point.

    The atmosphere and artwork is fantastic, the music is great, the card animations are mindblowing. There's a good progression system, and there's always something to do.
    Yet despite all of that, the current Gwent cardgame itself is just not that fun.

    Be aware, the publisher has a tendency to kill platforms. Because CD project red ditched ps4 support, I lost access to hundreds of euros worth of cards.

    They even manipulated me. You see you have a collection with the cards that you own. Yet in the agreement that no one reads, they own everything in the game and can take everything away from you. (blatant lie towards the playerbase, "yes you see the game says you own this card, you can own more of them :) " ...) Not sure if this is legal/illegal, but it surely is a **** practice.

    So I spent a lot money and time to get full collection and got it, Then there was an update, and all collections got reset, with players receiving scraps (you craft cards with scraps). I was not happy with the changes, and decided to take a 2month break. When I return they had made an economy change, where powder is required to craft premium cards (and cdpr gave me scraps for my premium collection, WP!!!) Clever way to devalue my collection.

    So here I am, lost a game that I adored, and my 500euro spent got devalued by the company.
    Therefore I can not recommend this game, CDPR can not be trusted with your money, and they take no responsibility/accountability with their actions.    … Expand

    All the card's abilities were changed going into "release state" which is a pretty big deal because that's the entire gameplay in a card game. Not only that but all the game's mechanics were removed or changed, things like Mulligans, Hand Limit, Leaders, Card Categories. Everything was dumbed down considerably to appeal to the broadest audience possible while adding a ton of RNG to what was a skill based game . What you ended up with is a completely UNTESTED buggy mess of a launch version that took nothing from it's long Beta. It's like an imposter stole Gwent's skin and is walking around in it and what's crazy is that there are actually people who like this skin stealing game because they never played the original . That is why I give this game an emotional 0 and i don't think it's an exaggeration at all. What CDPR did was actually criminal.    … Expand

    To me, the Beta version of this game was like a 9 or 10, but I can't rate the released version the same. Maybe CDPR will fix it in the long run, but at this point they must be committed and so I doubt it.     God knows I loved Gwent. It was was the first beta I've played and... thats why my score is so low... I like to learn how to play a game once. I had to learn 4 times to play gwent (properly I mean :D) didn't have patience for a fifth. Besides liked the beta way more than final. What happened with Dagon felt personal too :D

Maybe it is more profitable way for developers, yet it is not much satisfaction for players like me. Gwent had something unique in a same way like The Witcher has something unique and shared with Diablo /I am a huge fan of The Witcher universe and player of Gwent beta. Рядів стало 2, шпигунів заприватили Нільфи, а геймплей зводиться до збірки метової колоди карт, із спецкартами для "чесання" колоди за потрібними картами. Особисто я зіграв понад 50 годин, і встиг виконати всі завданняНу якщо чесно, я очікував зайти і зіграти партійку за шпигунів Північного Королівства, як в Відьмаку. Але виявилось, що гра в реліз вийшла іншою, як була на тестувані. Рядів стало 2, шпигунів заприватили Нільфи, а геймплей зводиться до збірки метової колоди карт, із спецкартами для "чесання" колоди за потрібними картами. Особисто я зіграв понад 50 годин, і встиг виконати всі завдання бойового пропуску, сезону Відьмаків, Вовка та Весіміра. Гра прекрасно заходить на фон дистанційного навчання. Бали зняті за оказуаленя гри, баги, часті виліти супротивника і надію розробників в те, що хтось буде донатити на 2+ бочки, коли можна купити 50 бочок за внутрішню валюту "Руду".… Expand

    After 2 years, this game has become more playable than ever. So many new mechanics added makes this game even more fun than closed beta. I am having a time of life in gwent rn. It is agreat F2P game, probably the best card game. I can reccomend it to everybody. And the card graphics are amazing. The developers has went through a long way but they finally trying to balance everything in time.

Чуть позже вернулся, посмотрелGwent - это игра, в которой игрок будет себя комфортно чувствовать без доната. Ничего не донатив, где-то на 170-180 часу игры я попал первый раз в про ранг, правда в про ранге ничего не показал. Эти часы я наиграл за полгода, то есть игроком был не очень активным, После первого месяца вообще игру удалил, потому что вышло обновление и моя колода стала мусором. Чуть позже вернулся, посмотрел у стримера одну из актуальных на тот момент колод и с ней от 14 ранга дополз до про всего за 50 часов игры. В про ранге я узнал, что там надо играть аж 4 колодами, но мне едва хватило ресурсов на одну-две.
    Каждые пару месяцев в игре выходят обновления, правятся характеристики старых карт, добавляют какие-то новые карты, приходится делать новые колоды. Ресурсов будет хватать на одну-две, возможно, даже три, если играть активно, но можно сделать колоду по гайду, а потом узнать, что она не очень. У меня тоже так было пару раз. Сейчас я захожу в игру раз в три дня только для того, чтобы сделать ежедневные задания, болтаюсь в пределах 1-4 ранга. В про ранг за 500 часов залетал всего три раза, но тут проблема в том, что я часто туплю.

    Проблема других карточных игр в их зависимости от доната, без вложений играть нормальными колодами можно лишь в Gwent и Runterra.    … Expand

    One of the best card games out there. It’s a kill full and not pay to win like a lot of the other card games. I love that now they have the mobile version as well

    Basic card game within the Witcher's universe. I had some good times playing it but after a few hours got bored... You get around the mechanics pretty fast and once figured it out, realise there's not much to do. And the PVP is, like many games with ranking, rigged with some kind of meta. I had my fill of those games.

    They ALWAYS break the game every time they release new cards, and wait at least 2 months to fix it, then repeat,almost all old or off-meta decks are too weak during this time. Don't ask why almost everyone plays the same decks and the deck plays like braindead, no thinking or strategy needed, it's basically Gwent since 2021 (not related, but the card arts are now much worse now).

    Best CCG on the market for those who care about strategy. Very unique rules and gameplay not seen in other card games in digital format. True F2P experience. Best artworks in the genre. "Must try" for the fans of the Witcher universe who prefer strategic games over RPGs.

    ярко выраженного P2W здесь не наблюдается, хотя цены на бочку с рандомными картами по 1$ - это явно перебор, но они очень быстро игровым путем зарабатывается. премиумные карты отличаются от обычных только наличием анимации. я ее вообще отключил в настройках, чтобы игра меньше ресурсов компа жрала. на все карты есть фиксированная цена в обрывках. обрывки - это одна из игровых валют. есть еще ключи, валюта для покупки бочек и метеоритная пыль для того, чтобы делать карты анимированными.
    в гвинте не обошлось без боевых пропусков, называются они путешествиями, представлены в виде двух полосок с наградами. первая полоска - бесплатная. во второй полоске, которая является платной, очень много обликов, рамок и тд. то есть косметики.
    у разрабов гвинта закончились идеи. сейчас доступны все пропуски сразу и ты можешь сам выбирать, в котором набивать награды. у меня кстати. все бесплатные награды собраны пока только в 2 боевых пропусках. играл, естественно, вообще без доната.
    на сайте игры присутствует раздел с актуальными колодами от других игроков, эти колоды копируются по одному клику, если есть в наличии все нужные карты, если их нет, то предложат за обрывки купить.
    среди русскоязычной аудитории на ютубе много стримеров по этой игре. в основном это те люди, которые хорошо играют в про ранге. у них на каналах тоже можно узнавать актуальные колоды и смотреть, как ими нужно играть.
    актуальные колоды, кстати, постоянно меняются, а в про рейтинге приходится играть колодами аж 4 фракций. по рейтингу игры за 4 фракции формируется средний рейтинг. в самый успешный мой сезон у меня максимум получалось достичь 2480 рейтинга с чем-то за какую-то из фракций. это не очень много. рейтинг - это для задротов. кроме него есть сезонные игры по особым правилам, которые меняются каждую неделю. там тоже можно выполнять ежедневные задания.    … Expand

    Gwent’s greatest asset are its basic mechanics – simple, easy to grasp and engaging mentally. Gives the players a lot of agency and even more tactics to discover and choose from. [13/2018, p.60]
