Gungrave G.O.R.E suffers from old style linear gameplay tropes — while the combat is fluid, the constant enemy waves over 12-14 hours quickly lose any sense of joy. Lack of available exploration also means you really only have the boss fights to look forward to.

GunGrave G.O.R.E. feels like an actual fresh game. You can relive an arcade in 3D shooter mode, with impact and precision weapons, which, as if that were not enough, have infinite ammunition. In addition, the story is set in gloomy and decadent settings that allow you to maintain dense but precise movements.

While the game can be fun at points, its archaic and dated design choices can make for an overall frustrating experience. Its combat doesn't require much thought, and the game can be "difficult" for the wrong reasons. Still, it's high points are still noteworthy highlights for the overall experience, and when everything works properly, you do feel as badass as the main character is supposed to be.

Gungrave G.O.R.E. is a solid enough third person shooter with a lot of action to be found in its varied levels. It doesn't quite have the nuance of its best competitors, with moments of clunkiness that hold it back from greatness, but nonetheless it manages to be a satisfying adventure for the entirety of its runtime.

Gungrave G.O.R.E oozes style and has a fantastic combat system, but a lack of variety, aggravating difficulty spikes, and often-frustrating design decisions keep it from reaching its full potential.

Despite its shortcomings, there’s something undeniably enjoyable and nostalgic about Gungrave G.O.R.E’s straightforward, no-nonsense approach to the action/shooter genre. The game’s promotional trailers repeatedly promised three things—bullets, beauty, and “a badass” anti-hero protagonist—and it delivers these attributes in spades.

Gungrave G.O.R.E delivers on the run-and-gun, stylish action with a modern PS2-like coat of paint that you'll either love or hate.

Gungrave GORE is one of the worst of 2022. It's functional, but supremely awful the whole way through.

The game rests on two iron pillars, the first thing you can see is how the developers loved Gungrave and tried to invest every cent in the game despite the average budget. The second is the gameplay itself and the combat system is a child's dream, because the Bible Epic is happening on the screen.
The player seems to be dancing with weapons, two pistols, almost like Dante's, and his huge coffin on his back, allow the player to create complete chaos on the screen, because there are a lot of ranged attacks and it all looks mega spectacular and epic.
The 2002 Gungrave anime is still remembered with warmth in my heart, as is the Ps2 game, and I was very surprised that G.O.R.E was associated with previous Gungrave works, thanks a lot to the developers for loving this iconic character and really looking forward to continuing the new one G.O.R.E, because the game is super and there are no direct analogues on the video game market right now.
PS, I have already completed the game on XBOX Series X at 1000g ❤
