It does a great job of creating compelling mechanics, so it’s slightly disappointing the bigger design where everything comes together to make really interesting or challenging gameplay fails to materialise. But it absolutely succeeds in creating a tranquil world of weirdness.

Gravity Ghost creates a nice world in space where the swinging between planets is an interesting and relaxing activity. Even if you don't find this enough, the great music and the well narrated story is a reason to give the game a chance.

Just when Gravity Ghost is hitting its stride, it comes to a quick close. The puzzles are never too challenging, but if you can relax and go with the flow, the simple platforming sequences have an almost zen-like tranquility.

Gravity Ghost is definitely worth investing three hours it asks for. I guarantee it will move you. [05/2015, p.71]

With Gravity Ghost, the independent developer Ivy Games carries us to a metaphysical world beyond death, without being able to fully capture Newtonian physics’ potential.

Clever and consistently inventive platformer, with a disarmingly powerful storyline… plus some of the strangest visuals this side of Katamari Damacy.

Without that humor, the story would have no buoyancy. It would sink beneath its heaviness.

In short bursts, or for younger gamers, Gravity Ghost is worth a look, but considering the style and polish applied to such a basic central concept, I’m far more excited to play Ivy Games next game rather than this one.

Interesting ideas which were individually executed well, though it felt like the pace was a little slow, too few ideas over too many levels.Interesting ideas which were individually executed well, though it felt like the pace was a little slow, too few ideas over too many levels. The length of her hair being a resource gauge for terraforming was cool and the Guardians were entertaining but there just isn't enough challenge, content or promise of content to bring me back. The experience as a whole fails to capitlise on it's unique mechanics. Full Review »

Tiny Tina from BL2 (Ash Burch) and Narrator from Bastion (Logan Cunningham) are among the cast.

    Cons:

The last few mazes are made more difficult to solve with limited screen view area.
The final puzzle with Fox Guardian is ridiculously difficult if you are color blind (I had to bring in help.)

    10/10 Wondrous achievement.
