    It's very ingenious to add Denuvo to a game that lacks some kind of optimization. The graphics are almost the same as in Batman Arkham Knight, only cartoon. Probably the developers are sitting and thinking: Our game has terrible optimization. What'll we do? Let's add Denuvo there and kill the optimization completely, yes you are a genius, sir!

    7 years later, they manage to make a game run AND look worse than its predecessor at the same time. Don't waste money on this piece of garbage and just play or replay Arkham Knight instead

    Nudna jak flaki z olejem. Początek super aż się jarasz. Pierwsza walka, no dobra gram na medium. Potem długo długo nic. Wychodzisz na miasto o mam motur, strasznie drewniany. I tak jeszcze jakieś pół godziny. Nie wydawało ci się ta gra jest smętna strasznie. Porób porządek na dysku, lepsza zabawa.

    I don't believe that the studio was involved in this project rocksteady . If they told me that this game was created by some kind of pissed ubisoft, then I would believe it. Do not play this game and do not give money for it. those publications that rated the game above 70 are bribed.This means that these publications can no longer be trusted and their opinion is worth no more than one cent.

    the game is boring, voice acting is bad, story is bad, characters are not interesting, gameplay is bad, roaming the city and parkouring is so bad and slow, the UI is extremely bad and its not easy to get used to it with many menus, many tutorials and endless reading, missions are scattered everywhere, driving the motorcycle is bad and boring, performance is crap and keeps dipping below 60the game is boring, voice acting is bad, story is bad, characters are not interesting, gameplay is bad, roaming the city and parkouring is so bad and slow, the UI is extremely bad and its not easy to get used to it with many menus, many tutorials and endless reading, missions are scattered everywhere, driving the motorcycle is bad and boring, performance is crap and keeps dipping below 60 no matter what system you have as GPU utilization drops in open world although CPU is not a bottleneck, if there was a subzero rating, i would give it -10.

    on top of all this, they integrate Denuvo, to be honest its not even worth pirating, they should have built upon Arkham Knight like prequel or anything else as it doesnt matter for batman games because they are not that connected as a series.

    the game is totally fun and ok but everything you see here was done better in another games
    especially in arkham games
    the worst thing here is that the game is around 8 hours but main and side missions are locked behind randomly generated and repetitive missions so the game took 15 hours to complete

    so wait for a sale and then enjoy your half priced game

    Characters struggle to get around Gotham using a traversal system that feels new but lesser than Arkham's. They stop moving when caught on doorways or corners. The time trials also exacerbate its poor traversal gameplay by causing players to lose unfairly. The combat is serviceable.    This is a janky, poorly designed mess of a game that makes Marvel's Avengers look pristine by comparison.

I legitimately have fun pounding criminals to the point of unconsciousness, but when they try to escape, the game yet again forces me into its incredibly poor traversal system.

    The graphics look good in my opinion, but the game is still plagued with frequent framerate dips at the time of writing. True to being a current-gen game, it also makes good use of my SSD; it doesn't take longer than 6 seconds to load nearly anything.

    Please save yourself the trouble and wait for a sale and multiple patches. Better yet, just don't buy it. The aggravation this game will inevitably cause you is not worth $60. Jason Todd's hoodie is too excited to be here, as its laces stand erect, presumably in search of Onsen or a functional patch.    … Expand

    Enjoying the game but apparently, this game only runs on a BATCOMPUTER. The framerate is all over the place.

    This game is not for everyone, it's for people with dead parents and inherited lots of money.

    I averaged like 40-50 FPS at max settings.
    The games story is very uninspired, cringey and cliche.
    The gameplay is akin to Marvel's Avengers which is not a compliment.
    All of the dialogue sounds like it was written by an "edgy teenager" which is really an out of touch boomer.

    Palavras não bastam para expressar o quanto eu fiquei insatisfeito com esse jogo, em resumo está cheio de bugs, quedas de FPS, travamentos e fechamentos aleatórios, não recomendo a ninguém a compra, o jogo se encontra em um estado inacabado, os desenvolvedores precisam concertar-lo o quanto antes.

    Pure trash, this feels like a mobile game. Not sure if this is done by the same developers but Arkham series was way better. Even the first game Arkham Asylum looked and ran better.

At the end of the game it was so uninteresting that I put the easiest difficulty.     Gotham Knights is not a bad game, it's just mediocre, it has some good missions and some interesting ideas, I think it's slightly better than Avengers but not that this is a good comparison, you can feel that the project had a lot of changes and was poorly planned what left something unidentified and generic.

    CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X
    RAM: 64gb 4.2GHZ
    GPU: RTX 3090

    Settings:
    Graphics ultra
    Resolution: 1920x1080
    DLSS: ON

    FPS Average 45 but constantly drops to 20-25 FPS

    This performance is unacceptable

They are compiled during gameplay rather than in a menu or startup resulting in constant stutter. Denuvo on top of that. The recommended specs are insane and my pc is way above them and it is still unable to run this. No matter the settings, the game fluctuates heavily between 20 and 140 FPS. I'd rather it's a stable 30 than getting a headache from these sudden    Unoptimized mess promoting the "woke" agenda.

    What could have been a good game is, once more, overshadowed by poor optimization, clunky controls, grindy missions, and an unhealthy dose of "wokeness".

    There is no true Full-screen mode. No matter the settings, the game fluctuates heavily between 20 and 140 FPS. I'd rather it's a stable 30 than getting a headache from these sudden fluctuations dipping to 20, then rising to 100 with a simple camera turn. Graphics are mediocre at best without RayTracing on. Reminds me of old PS3 games (e.g., Infamous: Second Son). If you turn RT "on" the game is a stutter-fest (RTX3080Ti, R9 5900X).

    Side missions while on patrol become a big chore after the second time. It's always the same setup of enemies and things to do. Same locations. Same tactics. Same objectives. It gets old very quick.

    Combat doesn't help either. It gets monotonous very fast. Other than the nice finishers, there is not much to comment on. It's clunky and doesn't feel fluid. It's just spam "X" until the enemy sponge dies. You even forget that you have a ranged move (range is so short it doesn't matter anyway).

    Traveling also feels like a big chore:
    - The bat-bike mechanics are out of a game released in the early 2000s. Physics are entirely off. To make the world feel "big," they tweaked the bike to go at 40Kmh, while simulating a "wind" effect around the edges of the screen so as to appear that you are going at 350Kmh. The scam is visible as you can barely overtake a bus. Getting anywhere is so sluggish and boring.
    - The hook that you grapple is hit-n-miss. You can use it on specified spots in the world which becomes very annoying when it auto-targets at a place that you are clearly not aiming at. Still, this is probably the only decent way to move around.
    - Gliding/flying is even slower than the bat-bike, which makes it a joke. It also forces your short cape to turn long, which is very ugly.
    - Navigating on foot is weird. There is no jump button and you can only move on objects that the game wants you to.

    The world is empty and dead. There are just copy-pasted versions of the same 5 NPCs sitting around, reacting to you by jumping and saying a line from a pool of 10 voice-lines.

    Customization is pure marketing. They allow you to craft suits, yet it's basically just 6 different models that simply recycle their stats each time you craft them. You have the option to change the look of some body parts (hands, boots, mask) between 3 options that are so similar you won't even notice. it's there just to promote "character customization". At least you can change colors, if you manage to unlock them before finishing the story. If you unlock the glide ability the game forces on you long capes. There is no option to change them and this has already been an issue on Reddit as people are frustrated not being able to revert it back. Many consider not even unlocking the glide ability to avoid the long cape.

    To top it off, instead of spending time polishing and serving us a finished product, they decided to spent time injecting their "woke" propaganda in the game. It has it all. "Pride" parades and rainbow flags. There are text-messages between the characters in the context of: "Omg the Pride parade is in town. We are bad people if we don't go. We are OBVIOUSLY GOING!!" Paraphilia is being promoted plenty once more. Your politics have no place in our games.

    Overall: The game needs serious patching to optimize it. If it is stable it might be worth half the asking price (~30$). Since nothing else will change (e.g., combat/driving won't change) I can't recommend this unless you get it at 20$-max in a few months if you REALLY want it. By then, it will hopefully be stable.    … Expand

The physics in this game make NO sense. The grappling hook always zips you across in a straight line regardless of the angle. You're basically flying like Superman. The combat is not fluid like in the Arkham games. The writing is so dull that you can tell the writers do not care about these characters. The animations for these characters is terrible. This entire game feels like it was made by amateurs. The missions are incredibly repetitive as you you're tasked with fighting goons to progress in the story. And this is all before addressing the performance issues. I will give the game credit in that the customization is great, but that's the only highlight.    … Expand

    It's a shame that they release games with that level of optimization. With an rtx 3080, ultra performance dlls and in 1080 it barely stays at 40 fps.

Gotham in this just feels like a dead random city, full of neon light, but half of its population has gone missing.     As for the bad: - Horribly un-optimised. Already getting random crashes and performance is terrible for a game that doesn't even look as good as the previous Batman games.

    - The controls are janky and feels like there's some sort of input delay even at or above 60 fps. - The character's movements also don't look smooth. They tend to just snap into position and lack any flow and at times will just move 90 degrees in mid-air whilst an animation plays out.

    - On that note of our characters just snapping into positions, this is especially true in the open world. You can't jump in this game. Instead there are fixed points where you can jump or grapple to which gives an option to press shift to do a jump. But I wouldn't consider this weird mechanic to be a standard jump. Excluding the ability to jump makes no sense in an open world game anyways. Seems like a design decision to save the devs the time to get this right which you would imagine shouldn't be an issue with games from today.

    - Traversal abilities to help get around the open world is gated behind repetitive missions which you need to do for EACH character.

    - The open world aesthetics is okay at best. But in comparison to the previous batman game Arkham Knight from seven years ago, fails miserably. Looks like just an ordinary city (with some specific locations that look decent) rather than Gotham City. Even with today's technologies such as ray tracing, it still doesn't compare. Even WB Montreal's Arkham Origins looks way better.

    - Combat feels really slow and this is only made worse with the point about character movement and the input delay. Maybe this will change as I play more but at the moment it doesn't feel good. Also a key seller of the Batman games was the freeflow combat with the ability to counter. That's gone here, and instead we have to dodge before we can counter. Similar to Marvel's Spider Man, except the combat in that game felt good.

    - UI looks like something from a mobile game.

    - Similarly, the various loot that gets dropped feel meaningless and is akin to something from a f2p mobile game/live-service game.

    It's not Saints Row levels of bad. There is a foundation there that can be appreciated and one that can be improved upon, but this is not a game I can recommend right now. The only reason I'll continue to play it is because of the story.    … Expand

    This game just... exist. It's not terrible or something but it's souless, shallow, corporate product that noone gives any heart or warm on it. Everything here is just worse and waterdown version of Arkham series with unnecessary looter-shooter garbage. Definitely one of the biggest disappointment this year.

    Sad to see WB Montreal release this, very disappointing. I'm not a fan of the art style, the new combat, or a lot of the voice acting - the combat is terrible, and the art makes the game feel like it's for little kids. WB Montreal previously did such a good job on Arkham Origins, so when this was announced I had originally hoped they would be doing another Arkham game set between Origins &Sad to see WB Montreal release this, very disappointing. I'm not a fan of the art style, the new combat, or a lot of the voice acting - the combat is terrible, and the art makes the game feel like it's for little kids. WB Montreal previously did such a good job on Arkham Origins, so when this was announced I had originally hoped they would be doing another Arkham game set between Origins & Asylum - there is a ~10 year gap between Origins & Asylum in the Arkhamverse so it would have been a perfect spot to put the Court of Owls with Batman working with the future Batfamily (Batgirl, Robin, Nightwing, etc.), but instead they decided to do a completely new continuity (as if we don't have enough of those, already).

    Game has awful performance to boot. Steam reviews are mixed - this is not good. I don't even blame the developers for this. I blame the idiot executives at WB who decided to green-light this. It should have been shot down in the pitch room. Very disappointing game.    … Expand

    For a studio which last game was Arkham Origins in 2013, it is unacceptable that this game was deliver the way it was.

    -The story is predictable. Since the first cutscene you know who is pulling the strings.
    And last, Batman/Bruce Wayne is made as a suicidal, bland character.

This is the most unoptimized game I've played in the last 5-10 years. It runs well when indoors or while you're in Combat but free roaming is a nightmare. I can run Arkham Knight in 4K 120+ fps while this game struggles to keep 100fps and keeps dropping to 30-45 for no reason. I would understand if the visuals looked better than Arkham Knight but they dont, they even look worse in some cases. While free roaming, the textures reload for no reason which causes massive stutters. The cutscenes are like watching a movie, the music is great and I usually don't pay attention to it. Gotham City looks beautiful and the crime system makes the world feel alive. Being able to beat a few thugs and interrogate them about a full on Bank Robbery a few blocks away makes you feel like an actual hero.
    It's sad to see how the gaming industry prioritizes sale numbers and flashy trailers to get you excited but deliver clearly unfinished games. The game could've be an 8 and sometimes even a 9 out of 10 for me because it fills that "super-hero game" spot that the Arkham and Spider-man games filled, but not in this state. The devs deserve everything that's coming to them, especially for revealing the 30fps cap on consoles less than week before its release. I'm just glad that I had time to cancel my console pre order because I played it on a friends console and the fps drops to 15-20 sometimes.

    Im a arkham fanboy, but i'm loving this game, loved the city, and how gotham is more alive in this game, the gameplay is fun, and i liked the characters, i dont know why the media critics are so harsh on this game

    Game is quite enjoyable on PC if you've got the hardware to play it with 80+ FPS. Combat is fine. Story is decent, pacing is a little slower than some recent 3rd person hero games (aka Spiderman) but you can't compare this to Marvel Avengers or the Arkham games like for some reason many are.

    Gotham City is big and well designed. There are side missions and collectables. You can craft new items like armor and weapons. The story is good but not great. The performance isn't good on pc so far especially if you roam the city. I hope they will fix that with a patch.
    To me this game feels like a batman game and I'm enjoying it.

    This game also shows me that you can't trust critics these days (I'm looking at you IGN)
    Giving this game a 5/10 is absurd and just shows me that you don't know what you are talking about.
    After playing video games for 30 years I probably have a better knowledge than these guys on what is a good game and what isn't. This game is just another reminder.    … Expand

    performance is not where it needs to be, however I subjectively would consider this game a 10/10, and once it's performance is fixed I think it'll for sure be a 10/10 objectively as well.

    As far as all rounded open world games go, it fits the slot perfectly.. they don't do anything to re-invent the genre that's for sure, but the story is good... I would certainly recommend it if you have a decent computer rig, and want to play some Coop with a friend, its a perfect game for that! ...

    Best co-op experience I've had in years so far. Character variety is great for combat. Combat feels great, travel powers take less than 5 minutes to get used to, the story fits the universe and is engaging (I love the detective board and investigation content).

This game has 4 very different characters with very different combat style and personalities. Each trying to honor the dark knight in there own ways.     I'm really enjoying the game. The story is very interesting and the cinematography is very good. Characters are very charismatic and I really hope they invest in this IP.

Richtig dämlich ist, dass man immer so 2-3 Kopf-Symbole auf der Map hat, die einem gegenseitig die "Wächter-Herausforderung" überschreiben... hätte man auch über den jeweiligen Charakternamen im Reiter Herausforderungen laufen lassen können, dann würde es mehr zu tun geben, anstatt, dass man immer zurück in den Glockenturm muss oder ausversehen eine andere Wächter Herausforderung annimmt und wieder von vorne anfangen darf!

    Die Dialoge sind cringe af, so richtig schlecht, also das sind Z-Sprecher und die Charaktere acten wie nach dem Motto "Ich mach das hier zum ersten Mal!" Die Szene mit den Schurken hingegen sind echt gut, aber alles in der Bathöhle und im Glockenturm ist ein absolutes Cringefestival und echt zum Fremdschämen :S

    7/10 -> Es hat mir echt Spaß gemacht, das Gameplay ist nämlich wirklich super, die Fähigkeiten mit 1, 2, 3, 4 drücken und sie jeweils gedrückt halten für eine zweite ist eine gut durchdachte Umsetzung!
    Von den Mapaktivitäten würde ich jeweils immer nur empfehlen die weißen zu machen und alle anderen zu ignorieren, da man die für die Storymissionen sowieso machen muss, sonst macht man die, startet dann die nächste Story Mission und darf genau die selbe Art der Aktivitäten nochmal machen.

    Sorry, aber das Game ist definitiv keine 60 € wert, für mich ist es höchstens 30 € wert, da es wirklich kurz ist und nicht viel bietet, ehrlicherweise ist es wahrscheinlich 40 €, war ja schon eine Menge Arbeit, aber ich würde trotzdem nciht mehr als 30 € zahlen, muss man ja auch mit sich selbst vereinbaren können!    … Expand

    Je ne comprends pas le bad buzz autour de ce jeu . Je viens de le terminer et c'est du pur plaisir (notamment les combats). L'histoire est entrainante et l'ensemble n'est pas du tout ennuyeux comme d'autres mondes ouverts. Bref j'ai adoré et j'ai hâte de reprendre l'histoire avec un nouveau personnage.

Yes, this game has problems, has roughness in gameplay, has technical issues and has not the most interesting gameplay core loop, but it has a powerful atmosphere, animations, level art / design and interesting characters and cut-scenes. All in all, a well-rounded experience and a great game which, despite the usually demanding ray-tracing, performed excellently on my RTX 3080! Definitely one of my new all-time favorites.… Expand

    The game is commendable, scoring a solid 8 out of 10, although it's somewhat lacking in side quest variety, and the controls leave something to be desired. As a fan of the franchise, I'm overwhelmingly satisfied with both the narrative presentation and gameplay. When compared to Batman Arkham, this game shines brilliantly; Batman's one-button combat system doesn't even come close

    A Batman family that couldn't get out of Arkhamverse's shadow. The game design structured around Co-op shows a lack of motivation. So many problems with monotonous combat, empty Gotham city, insufficient hero abilities, optimization issues and so on. A screenshot of Gotham city from photo-mode is the only thing that comforted me.

    Overall, Gotham Knights plays very well on the PC, once you figure your Steam settings. Playing as the Knights instead of Batman is a change for this style of game based in Gotham.

    The main problem with Gotham Knights is not its level of quality. It's that it could have been far superior, comparable to the past titles in the series. The key ingredients for the success of the franchise are here too, but either in a limited or undermined form, by the commercial direction the title has taken towards the looter territories and indeed, the more mundane ones at that.
